Happy Quidditch Matches Begin Again
Time passed slowly as Hermione struggled with her dilemma.
Even though she tried very hard to come up with a good way to overcome the Gryffindor Quidditch Team's disadvantage before the game started, it was obviously unrealistic.
Hermione didn't want Bell to break School Rules, and she wasn't a member of the Quidditch team. It's likely that no one but Bell would care about what she said.
The third and most important point is that Hermione doesn't even fully understand the rules of Quidditch Match.
So it would be a miracle if she could come up with a solution.
Sitting in the stands at the Quidditch Pitch, Bell set up a protective barrier just like last year and brought out all sorts of delicious food.
In order to enjoy his meal more while watching the game, he deliberately ate much less in the morning.
With a whistle from Madam Hooch, a dozen or so Little Wizard rode brooms and flew into the air.
The Gryffindor players remain unchanged from last year. Slytherin's Seeker, however, has been replaced by Draco Malfoy.
It is said that in order to make his son the Seeker of Slytherin, Old Malfoy spent money to replace all the Flying Broomstick of the Slytherin Quidditch Team with Nimbus 2001?
"How utterly shameful!"
Bell curled his lip in disdain. He simply couldn't understand what Old Malfoy was thinking.
If Draco Malfoy is good enough to be the Seeker, then I believe that no one would deliberately make things difficult for him just because of his surname "Malfoy".
If he is not capable enough to be the Seeker, then what purpose does Old Malfoy's behavior serve besides embarrassing himself?
Shaking off the useless thoughts in his mind, Bell refocused his attention on the game.
Due to her overwhelming advantage in the performance of her Flying Broomstick, Slytherin scored several goals in quick succession shortly after the start of the match.
The Gryffindor players could only chase after their opponents in vain, watching helplessly as they pulled off spectacular plays.
The weather isn't very good today. It started raining shortly after the game began.
The rain intensified, and the Little Wizard in the stands began to complain. The downpour obscured their vision and soaked their clothes, making their viewing experience extremely poor.
However, Bell seemed to enjoy it.
He Transfiguration magic, creating a large umbrella above his and Hermione's heads.
At the same time, he strengthened the Constant Temperature Barrier, expelling moisture and keeping the area around the two people dry.
Leaning back lazily in his seat, listening to the rain, watching the game, and enjoying the food, Bell felt extremely comfortable.
Magic is truly a great power! Praise be to magic!
Bell uttered this sentiment for what seemed like the umpteenth time.
Unlike Bell, Hermione, while also enjoying the comforts and conveniences brought by magic, does not feel at all pleasant or comfortable now.
"Bell, look at Harry! Why is that Bludger chasing him?! Those wicked Slytherin must have cast some kind of Curses on Bludger! You have to think of something!"
Hermione looked anxiously at Harry in the air. She gripped Bell's arm tightly with one hand and shook it violently.
I don't know if it's just my imagination, but Bell feels like I've seen this scene before.
Bell stared at the Bludger for a while. Soon, he located the caster by the traces of magic remaining in the air.
And then... that was it.
Although he was somewhat surprised that the spellcaster was a House-elf, whatever the complicated details, that was Harry's business, and Bell couldn't care less.
All he needs to do when he gets back is tell Lim to keep an eye on this somewhat unusual House-elf.
"Hermione, I've never seen you care about me like this before, I'm jealous~"
Bell chuckled mischievously, implying that he was very unhappy and needed a lot of comforting.
"Oh dear! Of course I'm more concerned about you! But you're perfectly fine right now! Stop fooling around, hurry up and think of something! Otherwise, if Harry gets Bludger, his life will be in danger."
After offering a casual explanation, Hermione continued to urge him anxiously.
She realized Bell was teasing her, and most importantly, she felt no guilt about it.
"But I can't do anything about it. Madam Hooch doesn't seem to be stopping the match. If I intervene arbitrarily, are you sure Madam Hooch won't get angry and declare Gryffindor the loser?"
With a shrug, Bell casually pulled his arm out of Hermione's grasp.
If Hermione grabs him again, his wrist might swell up.
"But..."
Hermione was very conflicted.
On one hand, she hoped the match could continue. Since the score difference between Gryffindor and Slytherin was currently less than 150 points, Gryffindor could still win if Harry could catch the Golden Snitch.
On the other hand, she didn't want the competition to continue. The kind Little Witch didn't want to see anyone get hurt, let alone have their lives in danger.
"Bell, please save Harry!"
After much deliberation, Hermione finally made up her mind.
She could tell the difference between competition and life. She couldn't bring herself to watch her classmates die just to win the House Cup.
I refuse.
Bell leaned back in his chair, propped his cheek up with one hand, and said lazily.
"Why!?"
Hermione stared wide-eyed in surprise at her boyfriend.
"Because I'm not interested."
Bell turned his head and looked into Hermione's eyes as he spoke.
"Quidditch Match are allowed to be paused, and if they want to, they can request a pause themselves. And if they don't want to, then I'm even less likely to interfere. That would just make me unpopular."
Bell wasn't interested in the outcome of the match or Harry Potter's life or death. Raising the little the Chosen One was Dumbledore's plan; it had nothing to do with Bell.
"But..."
Hermione was once again caught in a dilemma.
Fortunately, Hermione didn't have to agonize for long before the Gryffindor Quidditch Team requested a timeout. They landed from the air and gathered together, talking about something.
Hermione breathed a sigh of relief. She didn't agree with Bell's statement, but she couldn't really find anything wrong with it.
Although Hermione knew that Bell would definitely grant her request if she continued to ask.
But even without dating experience, Hermione wouldn't be foolish enough to force her boyfriend to do something he doesn't want to do for another boy.
However, what happened next was completely unexpected by Hermione, forcing her to take back the breath she had just let out.
The Gryffindor Quidditch players, including Harry, miraculously returned to the skies above the arena. The match resumed!
Hermione said she really couldn't understand what was going on. Hadn't they noticed the strange thing about the Bludger?
How could that be!
Even if others were too focused on the game to notice, surely Harry, who was being targeted by the Bludger, couldn't have missed it?
So why? Why didn't anyone bring this up with Madam Hooch?
What exactly did they say during the time the game was paused?
Hermione said she no longer understands the world.
