Arc 17Ascension of the Death Overlord
Dunn chose Yala as his successor, defeated the factions that interfered in Atlantis, and ascended as the Death Overlord. Yala expanded the empire while Dunn withdrew into the Astral Plane Depths and watched the Gods begin organizing a pantheon.
- Dunn declared Yala Moore his heir after she defeated Wells in the crown prince tournament and enfeoffed Wells and Kailant as members of the King's Seven Warlords of the Sea.
- Dunn unleashed the Death River against the visiting factions, allowing Atlantis’s Legendaries to resurrect while Poseidon and Evelyn protected his Apotheosis Ritual.
- Dunn ascended as the Death Overlord, killed nearly all the opposing Legendaries and Jing, and survived Yi’s Falling Star at the cost of severe damage to his Divine Kingdom.
- Dunn trained Yala after the battle devastated Atlantis, abdicated in her favor, and ascended to the Astral Plane with his Divine Kingdom.
- Yala rejected Lilith’s demand that she marry Wells and secured Annie’s support to force through a war decree against resistance from Atlantis’s Legendaries.
- Yala and Annie led Atlantis into a three-way war, expanded its territory nearly tenfold, and fortified its gains before peace resumed.
- Dunn gained widespread faith through promises of an afterlife and acquired the divine portfolio of death while the Gods prolonged the continental war and increased their power.
- Dunn withdrew into the Astral Plane Depths and recognized Banboer and the God of Intrigue’s plan to bind wandering deities into a nascent pantheon.
