Arc 17The Empire and the Uchiha

Toyotomi Yinglang expanded the Empire’s reach while shaping conflicts among Madara, Isshiki, Konoha, and the Uchiha. As he arranged to rescue Mikoto during the coming massacre, new hostile organizations began building strength across the Shinobi World.

  • Toyotomi Yinglang developed Mechanical Star as the Empire’s industrial base and began organizing Ocean Planet under a federal government protected by an expanding navy.
  • Yahiko and Konan joined Nagato in capturing pirates, while the Empire planned an undersea prison where prisoners would work off their debts.
  • Toyotomi Jinsyokuin awakened Wood Release, prompting concern from Konoha and the Uchiha as Madara began manipulating Uchiha clansmen against the Toyotomi Clan.
  • Toyotomi Yinglang maneuvered Black Zetsu, Madara, and Kara toward a future clash between the Sage of Six Paths and Isshiki, while advancing the Empire’s military strength and Sakura’s powers.
  • Toyotomi Yinglang welcomed Rin Nohara as Consort Ling, and Toyotomi Clan medical aid stations won public approval as the Uchiha’s reputation deteriorated.
  • Uchiha Fushan sacrificed clan resources and young Uchiha to secure his own position, while Toyotomi Yinglang judged that Fugaku was unfit to lead the clan.
  • At Kushina’s request, Toyotomi Yinglang agreed to take Mikoto from the Uchiha massacre and bring her to the Empire, but refused to save the other Uchiha.
  • The Zombie Gate, Evil Shinobi Village, Netherworld King, and Evil Witch Society prepared raids and expansion as the Evil God watched over two hundred thousand inheritors.
Chapters 401–425 Vol. 5 Read

Ch. 401Mechanical Star

Toyotomi Yinglang inspected the Mechanical God Cult’s growing power on Planet No. 1 and renamed the planet Mechanical Star, designating it as the Empire’s mechanical industrial base. He left Sasori in charge as the chapter ended with the empire’s expansion and industrial development set to begin in earnest.

  • Toyotomi Yinglang visited the Mechanical God Cult’s temple and met Sasori and the five officials Sasori had trained to govern the planet.
  • Sasori reported that the planet’s population had grown to over three hundred thousand, its cult had more than two hundred thousand followers, and its five-thousand-strong force included enhanced soldiers and combat robots.
  • Toyotomi Yinglang renamed Planet No. 1 Mechanical Star and ordered the cult to expand gradually while the planet developed into the Empire’s mechanical industrial base.
  • Toyotomi Yinglang toured Mechanical City and a cult church, approving the city’s growth while warning that religion had to remain a tool of the Empire.
  • Toyotomi Yinglang told Sasori that the Void Gate Fruit’s connection to the Heavenly Court would eventually make travel to Mechanical Star instantaneous, then left Sasori responsible for the planet’s future.

Ch. 402Ocean Planet

Nagato scouted a second planet and found an ocean world made up of millions of islands, which Toyotomi Yinglang named Ocean Planet. Yinglang outlined a colonial plan using a navy, an Oceanic Federal Government, an air force, and a floating-island headquarters, leaving Sasori to develop the floating island.

  • Nagato entered the Void Gate and discovered that the planet had no continents, only millions of islands scattered across the ocean.
  • Nagato returned and reported his findings, and Toyotomi Yinglang named the world Ocean Planet.
  • Sasori explained that scattered settlements, pirates, and inaccessible underwater resources would make religious conversion ineffective.
  • Toyotomi Yinglang proposed an Oceanic Federal Government whose member states would pay money, resources, land, or people in exchange for naval protection.
  • Toyotomi Yinglang gave Sasori a Float-Float Devil Fruit to use as the core of a permanent floating island for the government headquarters.
  • Toyotomi Yinglang outlined a three-step conquest plan to establish a navy, a federal government, and an air force.

Ch. 403The Navy

Nagato and the Empire established a naval headquarters on Ocean Planet, while Toyotomi Yinglang planned to expand the fleet and place surrounding islands under profit-seeking kings governed by the Oceanic Federal Government. The chapter ended with Toyotomi Yinglang ordering more warships and urging the navy to train through combat as the conquest continued.

  • Nagato led Imperial warships to a central island, claimed it for the Empire, and ordered a naval camp built there.
  • Months later, Nagato reported that the new naval headquarters had a few thousand soldiers and over a dozen warships, and Toyotomi Yinglang said the force needed to grow to tens of thousands and hundreds of ships.
  • Toyotomi Yinglang set out naval ranks and proposed making distinguished Imperial subjects kings of nearby islands under the Oceanic Federal Government, with the kings paying a share of their earnings.
  • Toyotomi Yinglang inspected the training grounds and told Yutian to train soldiers through combat rather than wait months for them to be ready.
  • Toyotomi Yinglang ordered the Imperial shipyards to work overtime and called for materials from Mechanical Star and more workers from the Empire.

Ch. 404Rolling Stones Down a High Mountain

Yahiko and Konan carried out the Empire’s rules against captured pirates after Toyotomi Yinglang argued that their hardship did not excuse their greed and crimes. Yahiko struggled with his first execution, while Toyotomi Yinglang and Sakura Haruno discussed the Empire’s expansion and what Yahiko and the others might become.

  • Yahiko questioned a captured pirate, and Toyotomi Yinglang explained that the pirates had stolen their ship and preyed on others out of greed.
  • Konan pointed out that the pirates had wine, meat, and treasure, and Nagato ordered Yahiko to follow the Empire’s rules for punishing pirates.
  • Yahiko ordered the naval soldiers to shoot the pirates, then asked Nagato what he had felt the first time he killed someone.
  • Nagato said he had felt nothing because he had needed to kill or be killed, and he led Yahiko and Konan onward to catch more pirates.
  • In the Imperial Palace, Toyotomi Yinglang told Sakura Haruno that the Empire could not stop expanding, while Sakura wondered what Yahiko and the others would become.

Ch. 405Undersea Prison

Nagato planned an underwater prison where captured pirates would work to repay what they had stolen, and construction began as the Navy continued arresting pirate crews. Toyotomi Yinglang defended the plan to Sakura Haruno as both a way to prevent further harm and an alternative to the poverty that drove people to piracy.

  • Nagato showed Yahiko and Konan plans for a deep-sea prison with guarded levels, surveillance, and factories where prisoners would work until they repaid their thefts.
  • A Navy captain pursued and captured another pirate crew, calling them the thirty-seventh batch and wondering whether the arrests were enough.
  • Nagato told Yahiko that construction of the undersea prison had begun and that it would be ready to receive its first prisoners in a year.
  • Toyotomi Yinglang told Sakura Haruno that the prison would keep pirates from escaping while making them work, and argued that labor could provide a livelihood and discourage piracy.

Ch. 406Two sons

Toyotomi Yinglang welcomed two newborn sons, Toyotomi Liying and Toyotomi Chengkong, and spoke of training them for war alongside Jilan. On Toyotomi Jinsyokuin’s second birthday, Yinglang gave him the Forest-Forest Fruit, awakening his ability to sense and command plants.

  • Tsunade gave birth to Toyotomi Liying, and Toyotomi Yinglang chose a name meaning “a rational hero.”
  • Sakura Haruno gave birth to Toyotomi Chengkong, and Yinglang said he and Liying would train, attend school, and go to war with Jilan.
  • Jilan promised Kushina that he would protect his two younger brothers.
  • Toyotomi Yinglang gave two-year-old Toyotomi Jinsyokuin the Forest-Forest Fruit.
  • Jinsyokuin’s hair and eyes changed, he sensed nearby plants, and a tree grew in response to his gesture.

Ch. 407New Senju

Toyotomi Jinsyokuin awakened Wood Release at age two, drawing attention from Konoha and envy from the Uchiha. Toyotomi Yinglang accepted the clan’s reputation as the “New Senju” and dismissed Sakura Haruno’s concern about Uchiha hostility.

  • Toyotomi Jinsyokuin grew an oak from a seed with Wood Release in front of a crowd at the Toyotomi Clan grounds.
  • Hiruzen Sarutobi and Mitokado Homura discussed the Toyotomi Clan’s growing strength, and Hiruzen said Konoha should watch and thank them for their service.
  • Uchiha Fushan and the Uchiha elders reacted angrily to the news, and Uchiha Luoxiu urged them to strengthen their clan independently.
  • Sakura Haruno told Toyotomi Yinglang that Konoha knew of Jinsyokuin’s Wood Release, and Yinglang said the Toyotomi Clan had become the “New Senju.”
  • Sakura Haruno asked whether the Uchiha Clan would hate them, and Toyotomi Yinglang replied that their hatred would not help them.

Ch. 408Madara's worries

Madara learned that Toyotomi Jinsyokuin awakened Wood Release at age two and plotted to have Uchiha clansmen kill him before he grew stronger. Toyotomi Yinglang reassured Sakura Haruno that Madara’s scheme would fail, leaving the conflict poised to move forward.

  • White Zetsu told Madara that Toyotomi Jinsyokuin, Senju Tsubaki’s son, awakened Wood Release at two years old.
  • Madara decided to manipulate ambitious, dissatisfied Uchiha clansmen into attacking the Toyotomi Clan, while keeping his own involvement hidden.
  • Toyotomi Yinglang told Sakura Haruno that Madara remained alive but was near death, sustained by the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path and acting through White Zetsu and manipulated Uchiha.
  • Toyotomi Yinglang reassured Sakura that Jin Zhiyin was safe in the Empire and said the Empire would handle Madara’s threat.
  • Toyotomi Yinglang declared that Madara had already lost.

Ch. 409King

Toyotomi Yinglang explained to Sakura Haruno how Ocean Planet’s kings served the Oceanic Federal Government while relying on the Empire for protection. Later, he clarified Kaguya’s place beside him and claimed her as his own, leaving them together in the Imperial Palace bedchamber.

  • Toyotomi Yinglang told Sakura Haruno that Ocean Planet’s kings were heads of member states who paid the Empire for naval protection, and explained why they were unlikely to unite against it.
  • Toyotomi Yinglang said the kings had gained land, power, and profit through their roles, and told Sakura Haruno he did not expect them to regret their arrangement.
  • Toyotomi Yinglang confronted Kaguya about calling him “Yinglang” in the garden and allowed her to use his name in private while requiring “Your Majesty” in formal settings.
  • Toyotomi Yinglang told Kaguya she belonged by his side, then brought her to the bedchamber and said she was his Kaguya.
  • Kaguya called Toyotomi Yinglang “Your Majesty,” and he carried her to the bed.

Ch. 410Pawns and Isshiki

Madara Uchiha arranged to provoke conflict between the Uchiha and Toyotomi clans, while Toyotomi Yinglang revealed his plan to turn Jigen, Isshiki, and the Sage of Six Paths against one another. The chapter ended with Yinglang expecting Isshiki to act according to his own interests rather than obey anyone.

  • Madara Uchiha learned that White Zetsu had manipulated three Uchiha Jonin into hating the Toyotomi Clan and ordered them sent to die at Toyotomi Yinglang's hands.
  • Madara Uchiha planned for the killings to force Uchiha Fushan to take a stand and draw Konoha into the conflict.
  • Toyotomi Yinglang told Moon God Kaguya that he had found Jigen, who hosted the surviving Isshiki, and intended to steer them against Madara Uchiha.
  • Toyotomi Yinglang planned to help Isshiki obtain Sage Mode, bringing him into conflict with the Sage of Six Paths.
  • Kaguya asked whether Isshiki would listen to Yinglang, and Yinglang replied that Isshiki would listen to himself.

Ch. 411Isshiki

Jigen began studying Sage Mode to strengthen his frail vessel and planned to expand Kara. Toyotomi Yinglang and Kaguya discussed manipulating Isshiki into confronting the Sage of Six Paths, leaving Yinglang expecting Isshiki to attack him once he learned Sage Mode.

  • Jigen examined stolen scrolls from a small ninja clan and found fragments about natural energy and Sage Mode.
  • Jigen said he would master senjutsu, create his own Perfect Sage Mode, and expand Kara to gather resources.
  • Kaguya told Toyotomi Yinglang that Isshiki had destroyed small ninja clans and was researching Sage Mode.
  • Toyotomi Yinglang planned to have White Zetsu leak information about the Sage of Six Paths, the Pure Land, and soul harvesting to Kara.
  • Toyotomi Yinglang predicted Isshiki would hate the Sage of Six Paths and eventually fight him, then said Isshiki would attack him after learning Sage Mode.

Ch. 412The third son, Black Zetsu

Toyotomi Yinglang persuaded Kaguya to redirect Black Zetsu’s Eye of the Moon plan toward making the Sage of Six Paths and Ōtsutsuki Isshiki discover each other, while claiming the Chakra Fruit for themselves. Black Zetsu agreed and returned to guide Madara Uchiha, leaving Toyotomi Yinglang to continue his plans in secret.

  • Toyotomi Yinglang explained to Kaguya that the Sage of Six Paths might take the Chakra Fruit if the Eye of the Moon succeeded as Black Zetsu intended.
  • Kaguya went to the Land of Fire and summoned Black Zetsu from an underground cavern.
  • Toyotomi Yinglang told Black Zetsu that the Sage of Six Paths and Ōtsutsuki Isshiki were alive and that the plan was now to make them discover each other.
  • Black Zetsu agreed to continue guiding Madara Uchiha and delay the plan until the two hidden figures began fighting.
  • Kaguya asked whether Black Zetsu would hate Toyotomi Yinglang if he learned about their relationship, and Toyotomi Yinglang said he would never find out.

Ch. 413What Makes a Chess Player

In the Imperial Palace garden, Toyotomi Yinglang explained to Tsunade how powerful chess players kept the Shinobi World ignorant and why he pitied shinobi while using them to develop the Empire. Tsunade found relief in knowing their daughter Senrin would not be raised as a shinobi, though her future remained uncertain.

  • Toyotomi Yinglang told Tsunade that powerful figures restrained themselves and kept shinobi ignorant so they could stay hidden.
  • Yinglang revealed that he had avenged his father's death by steering Danzo's Rebellion against Tobirama Senju and Konoha.
  • Yinglang said shinobi endured oppression rather than fighting back, and that sacrificing them to develop the Empire fit the Will of Fire.
  • Tsunade asked whether Senrin and Liying would become chess players, and Yinglang said they would not become shinobi of the Shinobi World because they were his children.
  • Tsunade thanked Yinglang for ensuring Senrin was not born into the Shinobi World, and he told her to thank herself for choosing him.

Ch. 414The players make their moves

The Sage of Six Paths spread opportunities among Konoha’s enemies to provoke more wars, while Jigen expanded Kara and pursued technological and human experimentation. In Rōran, Toyotomi Yinglang directed Sasha to keep the country strong enough to defeat Iwagakure and gave her a communication talisman hidden from the Sage and Ōtsutsuki Isshiki.

  • The Sage of Six Paths sent opportunities to shinobi and villages outside Konoha, hoping to strengthen them and increase the wars and deaths that fed the Pure Land.
  • Jigen learned that Kara’s growth-chamber subject had reached sixty-seven percent progress and ordered Kara to expand beyond its seven Inners and forty-seven Outers.
  • Toyotomi Yinglang told Sasha that Rōran’s army had grown to fifty thousand and its navy to thirty warships, but its air force was still being built.
  • Toyotomi Yinglang said Rōran needed only enough strength to defeat Iwagakure, while the Empire would let other countries fight and reap the benefits afterward.
  • Toyotomi Yinglang gave Sasha a communication talisman that used dragon essence and could not be sensed by the Sage of Six Paths or Ōtsutsuki Isshiki.

Ch. 415Nodes

Sakura Haruno ate the Node Devil Fruit, gained node-based movement and battlefield support abilities, and reached Super Kage strength. After testing her new power, she told Kushina that she no longer needed Sasuke and had found her own worth in the Empire.

  • Sakura Haruno ate the Paramecia-Node Devil Fruit and sensed the world as nodes connected by lines.
  • Toyotomi Yinglang explained that Sakura could move between sensed nodes, empower allies, weaken enemies, and interrupt their ninjutsu, making her a Super Kage fighter alongside her Quake Release and Strength of a Hundred Technique.
  • Sakura tested Node Movement by appearing at a target outside the Training Room, smashing it with Quake Release: Mountain-Crushing Fist, and returning in under two seconds.
  • Kushina asked Sakura whether she hated Sasuke, and Sakura said she did not because he had lacked Yinglang's abilities and resources.
  • Sakura told Kushina that she no longer needed Sasuke and that her worth came from what she had earned as the Empire's Ying Consort and a Super Kage fighter.

Ch. 416Orochimaru and Jiraiya

Jiraiya and Orochimaru trained under Hiruzen Sarutobi, who warned them that Konoha needed them to grow stronger after Danzo's Rebellion. Elsewhere, Hiruzen questioned Toyotomi Yinglang's identity, while Yinglang dismissed Jiraiya and Orochimaru as future world-changers and expressed confidence that the Empire would outpace Konoha.

  • Jiraiya used Sage Art: Wind Bullet against Orochimaru, who blocked it with Rashomon before they continued their sparring match.
  • Hiruzen Sarutobi stopped the training and told Jiraiya to stabilize his Sage Mode and Orochimaru to rely less on forbidden techniques.
  • Orochimaru told Jiraiya that Konoha and the Hokage were using shinobi as tools, and Jiraiya followed him back to training.
  • Hiruzen Sarutobi read a report about Toyotomi Jinsyokuin's Wood Release and wondered who Toyotomi Yinglang really was.
  • Toyotomi Yinglang told Sakura Haruno that the Empire would grow beyond Konoha and predicted Jiraiya and Orochimaru would not become powerful men who changed the world.

Ch. 417Consort Ling

Kushina encouraged Rin Nohara to accept her feelings for Toyotomi Yinglang and helped her prepare to join him. Yinglang welcomed Rin as Consort Ling and told her that her role was to save lives, leaving her reassured and asleep in his arms.

  • Rin Nohara wondered why Toyotomi Yinglang had given her a second life and so much support, and Kushina told her she knew Rin had fallen for him.
  • Kushina reassured Rin that Yinglang would welcome her as another woman in the palace and that she need not fear the other sisters.
  • Kushina prepared Rin to attend Yinglang, and the two women waited together for him that night.
  • Yinglang arrived, asked Rin if she was ready, and accepted her alongside Kushina.
  • Yinglang named Rin Consort Ling and explained that the Empire needed her Healing Devil Fruit to save lives.
  • Rin asked Yinglang if she could fulfill her new role, and his confidence in her helped her finally fall asleep.

Ch. 418The Same Eyes

Little Tsunade and Toyotomi Makoto treated patients at Toyotomi-funded aid stations, while Konoha’s Uchiha debated how to counter the clan’s growing reputation. Toyotomi Yinglang said the Uchiha’s fate depended on their choices and doubted they would change.

  • Little Tsunade treated an injured ninja at the Land of Rivers aid station and explained that the Toyotomi Clan supplied its medicine and staff.
  • An old man told wounded patients that the Toyotomi and Uchiha had the same Sharingan but had chosen different paths, shaping how people saw them.
  • Toyotomi Makoto used his Sharingan and medical chakra to heal a patient at an aid station in the Land of Grass.
  • Uchiha Fushan and the elders discussed the Toyotomi Clan’s popularity, and Uchiha Luoxiu urged them to open aid stations and train Medical Ninja.
  • Toyotomi Yinglang praised Little Tsunade’s work, discussed the Uchiha with her, and said they would not change because they did not want to wake up.

Ch. 419The clan's resentment

As resentment grew over the Toyotomi Clan’s popularity, Uchiha Fushan realized his leadership was weak and feared a Mangekyō wielder would threaten his position. He sent five promising Uchiha to the Anbu, and Hiruzen Sarutobi assigned them to the dangerous Northern Border, leaving Fushan to acknowledge his betrayal in private.

  • Uchiha Bali, Uchiha Luoxiu, Uchiha Y Ge, and Gelu confronted Uchiha Fushan over the Uchiha Clan’s declining reputation and his failure to improve their circumstances.
  • After the meeting, Fushan blamed himself for his lack of achievements and resolved to strengthen Konoha’s support for his leadership.
  • Fushan asked Hiruzen Sarutobi to take five talented young Uchiha into the Anbu, claiming they needed more challenging missions.
  • Hiruzen Sarutobi recognized that Fushan was removing potential rivals and assigned the five Uchiha to the Northern Border amid tensions with Kumogakure.
  • Fushan privately admitted that he had chosen to preserve his position rather than protect his clansmen.

Ch. 420Awkward the first time, familiar the second

Fushan sold the Uchiha Clan’s mission allotments and twenty-three stored Sharingan to Konoha for meager compensation, hoping to secure his position and keep the clan alive. Hiruzen accepted the deal and assigned young Uchiha to the northern border, while Toyotomi Yinglang concluded that the clan was nearly finished and Fushan had trapped himself through his own choices.

  • Fushan rejected Gelu’s suggestion to sell the Sharingan for better terms, then wrote an offer to cede three border mission allotments and transfer all twenty-three eyes to the Hokage Office.
  • Hiruzen Sarutobi accepted the mission allotments and offered thirty percent of market price for the Sharingan, labeling the payment special funding for the Uchiha Clan.
  • Hiruzen ordered Mitokado Homura to send new Uchiha Anbu members to the troubled northern border, and told Homura Konoha would be better off if the Uchiha disappeared.
  • Fushan received the accepted offer and resigned himself to the thirty-percent payment, believing Konoha’s support would protect his position as clan leader.
  • Gelu mourned the sale of the eyes of twenty-three dead clan members and wondered whether Fushan was saving the Uchiha or burying them.
  • Toyotomi Yinglang told Sakura Haruno that Fushan was buying his own security with the clan’s resources, and said the Uchiha were nearly finished.

Ch. 421Ryukōshi's realization

Toyotomi Ryukōshi questioned why the Uchiha stayed in Konoha and learned how power and reputation shaped how clans were seen. In Konoha, Uchiha Fugaku’s privileged upbringing left him estranged from ordinary Uchiha, and Toyotomi Yinglang concluded that the clan had chosen the wrong person as its future.

  • Toyotomi Ryukōshi asked Toyotomi Yinglang why the Uchiha did not leave Konoha, and his father explained that they lacked a safe destination and that Uchiha Fushan depended on Konoha for his authority.
  • Toyotomi Ryukōshi wondered why the Toyotomi Sharingan were praised while the Uchiha Sharingan were condemned, and Toyotomi Yinglang said that those with the loudest voices defined others.
  • Uchiha Fugaku trained at the center of the clan compound and asked his attendant whether the clan members were living well, but he did not press when the attendant gave a vague answer.
  • Toyotomi Yinglang told Sakura Haruno that Fugaku had been raised among elites and had barely encountered lower-ranking Uchiha, leaving him ignorant of their needs.
  • Toyotomi Yinglang concluded that Fugaku could not become a good clan leader and that the Uchiha had chosen the wrong person as their future.

Ch. 422A good mother

In the Imperial Palace garden, Toyotomi Yinglang explained how Mikoto’s inherited eye-power genes helped Itachi and Sasuke gain the Mangekyō, then told Sakura their children would inherit the right to choose their own paths. Later, Ryukōshi described helping an injured Uchiha at the Relief Station, and Yinglang explained how the Uchiha had been led toward ruin while reassuring his son that their family would choose its own future.

  • Sakura asked Toyotomi Yinglang how Itachi and Sasuke gained the Mangekyō when Fugaku and Fushan had only three-tomoe Sharingan.
  • Toyotomi Yinglang said Mikoto’s sensitive inherited eye-power genes helped Itachi awaken the Mangekyō and allowed Sasuke to withstand Itachi’s implanted eye power.
  • Sakura wondered what their children would inherit, and Toyotomi Yinglang said they would inherit the right to choose who they became.
  • In Shinobi World No. 1, Mikoto quietly sewed a garment for Itachi, unaware that her genes were shaping her sons’ futures.
  • Ryukōshi told Toyotomi Yinglang that a wounded Uchiha had come to the Relief Station after Konoha Hospital refused him care, and that the man had asked whether the Uchiha were finished.
  • Toyotomi Yinglang said the Uchiha had chosen a path toward ruin and assured Ryukōshi that their family would choose its own path instead.

Ch. 423Kushina's request

Kushina asked Toyotomi Yinglang to save Uchiha Mikoto from the Uchiha Clan Massacre in Shinobi World No. 1, and he agreed because Kushina had never asked him for anything before. Mikoto remained unaware that her fate was about to change, while Kushina worried that Mikoto would resent being taken from her family.

  • Kushina asked Toyotomi Yinglang to save Uchiha Mikoto, explaining that Mikoto was her closest friend in Shinobi World No. 1 and that her lineage could produce powerful children.
  • Toyotomi Yinglang agreed to rescue Mikoto during the Uchiha Clan Massacre, on the condition that she leave her old life behind and become a woman of the Empire.
  • Kushina said Mikoto would accept because she valued survival, and Toyotomi Yinglang explained that he agreed because Kushina had never asked him for anything before.
  • In Shinobi World No. 1, Mikoto quietly sewed beneath the eaves while Itachi slept and Sasuke played, unaware that Kushina was pleading for her.
  • Kushina worried that Mikoto would hate her for taking her away from her husband and sons, but Toyotomi Yinglang reassured her that Mikoto would see it as a second life.

Ch. 424The eve of the massacre

Toyotomi Yinglang sensed that the Uchiha Clan Massacre in Shinobi World No. 1 was approaching and told Kushina that he would rescue Mikoto during the massacre. He refused to save the rest of the Uchiha, while Ryukōshi considered what it meant to choose between clan and Empire.

  • Toyotomi Yinglang sensed Uchiha Itachi hesitating over the coup and saw Sasuke practicing, unaware of the coming massacre.
  • Toyotomi Yinglang told Kushina that Itachi had not decided yet, Mikoto knew nothing of the danger, and he would take Mikoto away on the massacre night while preserving the record of her death.
  • Ryukōshi asked whether Toyotomi Yinglang would save the innocent Uchiha, and Yinglang refused, saying he would only take Mikoto because Kushina had asked.
  • Toyotomi Yinglang told Ryukōshi that the Empire and clan should be one, then left him to continue studying.
  • Kushina worried that Mikoto might hate her, and Toyotomi Yinglang reassured her that Mikoto would be grateful to see someone familiar.

Ch. 425The Evil God plunged the world into chaos

Evil God's inheritors established organizations across the Shinobi World and began expanding while avoiding direct clashes with the great villages. As the Zombie Gate prepared to fight Hiruzen Sarutobi's forces, the Evil God watched his two hundred thousand scattered legacies grow.

  • Corpse Demon revealed that the Zombie Gate had made thirty-seven Flying Corpses from its slain followers and invited Hiruzen Sarutobi's Anbu to attack.
  • Evil Ghost ordered the Evil Shinobi Village to strike a Land of Grass stronghold and seize resources rather than fight Konoha directly.
  • The Netherworld King chose to raid unprotected merchant ships while avoiding Konoha and Kirigakure.
  • The Witch King ordered the Evil Witch Society to absorb small ninja clans and their resources before challenging the great nations.
  • Corpse Demon put the Zombie Gate branch in Konoha's northern territory on combat readiness after learning Hiruzen Sarutobi's men had found traces of it.
  • The Evil God surveyed two hundred thousand scattered inheritors and told them to grow at their own pace.
