Chapters 176–200 Vol. 2 Read

Ch. 176Found a Teammate

Bieshu Feifan and Might Duy struggled to find a teammate for the Chunin Joint Exam until Hiruzen Sarutobi assigned them Uchiha Zhongfen. As the exam began, Zhongfen realized the first rule could eliminate their entire team if either of his teammates failed.

  • Genin after genin refused to team up with Bieshu Feifan and Might Duy, so they joked about taking a pig as their teammate.
  • Hiruzen Sarutobi brought in Uchiha Zhongfen, and after the three argued, they accepted the forced team assignment.
  • Bieshu Feifan and Might Duy assured Zhongfen that they would get him through the written test, leaving him convinced they would fail it themselves.
  • The trio arrived at the Five Great Nations' Chunin Joint Exam and traded insults with a team from Kumogakure.
  • The Konoha examiner announced that a team would be eliminated if any one member was eliminated, and Uchiha Zhongfen collapsed in despair.

Ch. 177The surprising written exam scores

Bieshu Feifan and Might Duy used a hidden earpiece to pass the written Chunin exam, but their teammate Uchiha Zhongfen scored only two points and disqualified the whole squad. After the examiners revealed Zhongfen’s answers, the two left lamenting that an Uchiha had made them fail.

  • Bieshu Feifan gave Might Duy a wooden earpiece to help him during the written exam, while Uchiha Zhongfen grew convinced their squad would fail.
  • Bieshu Feifan fed Might Duy answers through the earpiece, and the two earned passing scores as Zhongfen wrote irrelevant Uchiha boasts on his paper.
  • Bieshu Feifan struck a taunting Kumogakure ninja, and Might Duy kicked him back before an examiner intervened and announced the squad’s scores.
  • The examiner revealed that Bieshu Feifan scored sixty-three, Might Duy scored sixty-one, and Uchiha Zhongfen scored two, eliminating all three.
  • Bieshu Feifan and Might Duy read Zhongfen’s answers, offered him sympathetic advice, and watched him leave alone.
  • The injured Kumogakure leader learned that Zhongfen’s failure had prevented a rematch, while Bieshu Feifan and Might Duy went home lamenting their elimination.

Ch. 178Clan head

After Kumogakure broke the peace and attacked Konoha’s border, Hiruzen and his advisers prepared for war and decided to court the Uchiha. Danzo brought Bieshu Feifan and the Might family to Uchiha Fugaku’s clan head succession celebration, where their antics disrupted the gathering and Hiruzen learned Fugaku had named his newborn son Uchiha Itachi.

  • The Five Great Nations enjoyed a brief period of peace after the joint Chunin Ninja Exams, while Bieshu Feifan cursed Uchiha Zhongfen and resumed training in senjutsu.
  • Kumogakure shinobi attacked Konoha’s border outposts after the Third Raikage finished raising ransom money and closed his lawsuit, prompting Hiruzen, Danzo, Utatane Koharu, and Mitokado Homura to prepare for war and seek the Uchiha’s support.
  • Danzo invited Bieshu Feifan to accompany him to Uchiha Fugaku’s clan head succession ceremony, and Bieshu excitedly declared he would build a faction and become Hokage.
  • Hiruzen and Danzo arrived at Fugaku’s celebration, where Bieshu Feifan, Might Duy, and Might Guy grabbed Fugaku’s hands and foot and dragged him into a seat.
  • Might Duy teased Uchiha Zhongfen and offered him bitten pieces of food, while Might Guy asked Hiruzen how long Obito Uchiha’s prison sentence had left.
  • Hiruzen asked Fugaku whether he had named his newborn son, and Fugaku answered that the baby was named Uchiha Itachi.

Ch. 179Captain

At Uchiha Fugaku’s succession banquet, Bieshu Feifan, Might Duy, and Might Guy embarrassed Fugaku with absurd gifts, while Danzo grew alarmed over what he believed the Uchiha knew about his experiments. Konoha mobilized for war, and as the three prepared to deploy without a captain, they spotted Teacher Richuan approaching.

  • Danzo concluded that the Uchiha knew about his human experiments and ordered Kōichi to relocate the laboratory and Yiyi to investigate Uchiha Yellow Weasel and the clan.
  • Might Duy gave Uchiha Fugaku a green jumpsuit, Might Guy gave him false teeth, and Bieshu Feifan gave him toothpicks, humiliating Fugaku at his succession banquet.
  • Uchiha opponents mocked Fugaku with the gifts during his first clan meeting, while Konoha High Command issued a mobilization order to the Uchiha and Hyuga clans.
  • Bieshu Feifan, Might Duy, and Might Guy received orders to join the second deployment to the northeastern Land of Fire and assembled at Konoha Gate without a captain.
  • As the main force departed, the three accepted that no captain had been assigned to them, then recognized the approaching Teacher Richuan and called out to him.

Ch. 180The Battlefield Mission

Richuan Taiban led Bieshu Feifan, Might Guy, and Might Duy to the northeastern border, where he secured a mission protecting Daquan Noble instead of fighting at the front. The three genin disrupted the noble’s formal reception and questioned why he had stayed near the battlefield, prompting Daquan Noble to say the mission should never have existed.

  • Richuan Taiban reluctantly took charge of Bieshu Feifan, Might Guy, and Might Duy as they set out with Konoha’s main force.
  • At the border camp, Richuan Taiban distributed supplies and told the team their assignment was to protect a noble in a nearby town.
  • Richuan Taiban met Daquan Noble, but Bieshu Feifan and the two Might shinobi barged into the reception room with strange poses and then helped themselves to food and cards.
  • Bieshu Feifan, Might Duy, and Might Guy questioned Daquan Noble about staying in the border town instead of fleeing the fighting.
  • Daquan Noble agreed with the genin and told Richuan Taiban that the protection mission should never have existed.

Ch. 181Protecting the noble

Bieshu Feifan and the Might duo clashed with Richuan Taiban and Daquan Noble over the protection mission, then fought off an assassination attempt. After blaming Richuan for the attack, Feifan offered Daquan protective talismans.

  • Daquan Noble chose to hear Bieshu Feifan’s team out, but Feifan and Might Duy demanded payment and threatened him when he considered leaving.
  • Might Duy and Might Guy defeated Richuan Taiban and Daquan Noble’s guards, forcing Daquan to accept Feifan’s protection.
  • After nightfall, Wandering Shinobi attacked the residence, and Might Duy defeated them while Might Guy helped Daquan.
  • Bieshu Feifan blamed Richuan for the attack, and Might Duy and Might Guy added their own criticisms.
  • Bieshu Feifan offered Daquan Noble a set of protective talismans, and Daquan asked to see them.

Ch. 182Richuan Taiban Was in a Bad Mood

Bieshu Feifan sold Daquan Noble a worthless stack of Will of Fire writings, prompting the noble to abandon his residence and leave town. Bieshu Feifan, Might Duy, and Might Guy followed him, and after the journey ended in a carriage crash, they demanded payment; meanwhile, Richuan Taiban returned to find their room empty.

  • Bieshu Feifan sold Daquan Noble his writings for five hundred thousand ryo as a supposed lifesaving treasure, and Daquan Noble left in anger after discovering what they were.
  • Daquan Noble packed his belongings and departed the border city with his guards, while Richuan Taiban watched helplessly.
  • Bieshu Feifan, Might Duy, and Might Guy secretly accompanied Daquan Noble, and Might Guy overturned the carriage after striking a rock.
  • Bieshu Feifan and the others demanded payment from Daquan Noble for their guarding work, while Daquan Noble sat injured beside the road.
  • Richuan Taiban drank over his failed mission, then went to wake Bieshu Feifan and the others and found their room empty.

Ch. 183The captain was missing

Hiruzen Sarutobi received conflicting reports about Richuan Taiban and the three genin, then ordered Bieshu Feifan, Might Duy, and Might Guy back to the front after Daquan Noble ended their mission. The trio returned without Richuan, settled into Daquan Noble’s vacant residence, and posted a missing-person notice that reached the command tent, where the staff realized Richuan was already there.

  • Hiruzen Sarutobi read letters from Richuan Taiban, Bieshu Feifan, and Daquan Noble, and concluded that the three genin seemed to be the only ones doing their jobs.
  • Bieshu Feifan, Might Duy, and Might Guy enjoyed themselves at Daquan Noble’s residence until Sarutobi Tōgo arrived with Hiruzen Sarutobi’s order ending their protection mission.
  • The trio left for the front, while Sarutobi Tōgo corrected their route and escorted them there.
  • Unable to find Richuan Taiban or get a tent, Bieshu Feifan and the others spent the night at Daquan Noble’s vacant residence.
  • The trio made a missing-person notice describing Richuan Taiban as intellectually impaired, and a Chunin brought it to the command tent, where the staff recognized the name.

Ch. 184Konohamaru's tragedy

Richuan Taiban's disappearance led Nara Headquarters to suspect a spy in Konoha's camp, while Bieshu Feifan's search continued. A surprise Kumogakure attack left Sarutobi Tōgo gravely wounded, and Bieshu Feifan secretly tormented him in the hospital before the chapter ended with Tōgo unconscious.

  • Nara Headquarters confirmed Richuan Taiban was the man on the missing-person notice and placed him under protection to lure out a suspected spy.
  • Bieshu Feifan, Might Duy, and Might Guy continued distributing notices, while Bieshu dismissed concerns about the print shop being watched.
  • Kumogakure launched a surprise attack, and Fourth Raikage A demanded that Konoha bring out the man he blamed for losing his left hand.
  • Fourth Raikage A fought Sarutobi Tōgo and Nara Headquarters until Bieshu Feifan secretly caused an explosive tag to detonate near Tōgo, severely injuring him.
  • Bieshu Feifan disguised himself as a nurse, mocked and startled the hospitalized Tōgo, and escaped as his Shadow Clone dissolved, leaving Tōgo unconscious with his wound reopened.

Ch. 185Young Master A's team

Bieshu Feifan, Might Duy, and Might Guy were living in a mansion that officials had granted to Cloud Ninja, including the injured Fourth Raikage A. They killed the Cloud Ninja who entered the house, captured Fourth Raikage A, and realized he might be the next Raikage.

  • Bieshu Feifan, Might Duy, and Might Guy learned that officials had granted their mansion to Cloud Ninja, but decided to eat before dealing with the problem.
  • The Fourth Raikage A and a dozen Cloud Ninja arrived and ate with the trio, mistaking them for residents and servants.
  • Bieshu Feifan used his Shadow Clone to lure each Cloud Ninja to the toilet and drown them while the others kept eating.
  • Bieshu Feifan and Might Duy restrained the injured Fourth Raikage A after he discovered that his supposed medicine was pot-washing water.
  • Might Guy repeatedly struck Fourth Raikage A with a Nunchaku until he passed out, and the trio chained him up.
  • Might Duy identified Fourth Raikage A as a possible next Raikage and asked Bieshu Feifan and Might Guy what they thought.

Ch. 186Both sides' bosses were furious

After Fourth Raikage A was captured and mutilated, the Third Raikage received a ransom demand while Hiruzen Sarutobi mobilized Konoha in response to his own son’s crippling. Bieshu Feifan and the Might family were summoned back to camp, where Hiruzen confronted their missing captain, Richuan Taiban.

  • Hiruzen Sarutobi learned that Sarutobi Tōgo had been crippled and mobilized Konoha to fight Kumogakure, while Danzo joined him and Jiraiya remained in the village.
  • The Third Raikage received a ransom letter demanding a Storm Release shinobi, one billion in cash, and chakra metal for his son, and he recognized the accompanying object as his son’s kneecap.
  • Bieshu Feifan kept Fourth Raikage A captive and on an IV drip while Might Duy and Might Guy stayed in the courtyard and turned away searching Cloud Ninja.
  • A Konoha shinobi ordered Bieshu Feifan, Might Duy, and Might Guy to return to the front, where Hiruzen Sarutobi questioned them about leaving camp and learning that Richuan Taiban was missing.
  • Bieshu Feifan and Might Duy said they had posted missing-person notices for Richuan Taiban, and Hiruzen Sarutobi summoned him and challenged him over abandoning his squad.

Ch. 187Heaven Was Unfair!

Richuan Taiban was punished for abandoning Bieshu Feifan and the others, then endured a humiliating confrontation with the Mission Assignment Officer he had bribed. Hiruzen Sarutobi led Konoha into the Land of Lightning, where a Cloud Ninja squad targeted Bieshu Feifan’s team as Richuan Taiban was knocked away.

  • Hiruzen Sarutobi stripped Richuan Taiban of his Outstanding Teacher title and ordered him to leave the Ninja Academy and serve as an ordinary Chunin.
  • Bieshu Feifan, Might Duy, and Might Guy reunited with Richuan Taiban, teased him, and crowded into his tent.
  • A middle-aged Mission Assignment Officer slapped Richuan Taiban, blamed him for his own punishment, and demanded ten million in compensation.
  • Hiruzen Sarutobi led Konoha’s troops into the Land of Lightning and ordered them to attack any Cloud Ninja they encountered.

  • A Cloud Ninja told his nearly grown companion that the Raikage had named Bieshu Feifan and the others as must-kill targets.

Ch. 188The Hokage who was behind on the news

Bieshu Feifan and his teammates defeated a Kumogakure squad while Richuan Taiban struggled and was left to fend for himself. At the peace negotiations, Bieshu Feifan revealed that the culprit behind Tōgo Jōnin’s injury was the Land of Lightning’s son, abruptly disrupting the talks.

  • Bieshu Feifan, Might Duy, and Might Guy defeated the Kumogakure squad while Richuan Taiban fought their Chunin leader and received no help from his teammates.
  • Might Duy defeated the remaining Chunin, and Richuan Taiban eventually sat with the others as the battle continued.
  • The conflict ended with Muye holding the advantage, and Danzo summoned Bieshu Feifan to attend negotiations with Hiruzen Sarutobi and Dodai.
  • Hiruzen Sarutobi demanded that Kumogakure hand over a suitably important culprit, compensate Muye, apologize publicly, and sign a new Peace Treaty.
  • Bieshu Feifan identified the culprit as the Land of Lightning’s son, leaving Hiruzen Sarutobi and Dodai stunned and the negotiations in jeopardy.

Ch. 189Negotiations

Bieshu Feifan helped Danzo pressure Dodai into negotiating harsher terms with Kumogakure while Hiruzen Sarutobi struggled to take charge. The talks ended with Kumogakure delivering half of Fourth Raikage A’s severed penis as compensation for Sarutobi Tōgo, showing that Kumogakure wanted to avoid further fighting.

  • Bieshu Feifan insulted Dodai and demanded the head of the man responsible for Sarutobi Tōgo’s injury, leaving Hiruzen Sarutobi and Dodai unable to respond.
  • After Dodai rejected the demand, Bieshu Feifan listed extreme conditions, and Dodai ended the first meeting; afterward, a Nara jōnin told Hiruzen Sarutobi that scaled-back terms might work.
  • At the next meeting, Bieshu Feifan challenged Dodai’s attempt to frame the talks as simply ending the war, and Dodai apologized to Hiruzen Sarutobi.
  • Danzo, Bieshu Feifan, and the Nara jōnin helped negotiate most terms, but Kumogakure refused to cut off Fourth Raikage A’s penis and offered twenty million more in compensation.
  • Bieshu Feifan proposed that Kumogakure provide only part of it, and Dodai delivered half that night directly to Hiruzen Sarutobi.

Ch. 190The Consequences of the Third Raikage's Choice

Bieshu Feifan and Danzo exploited Kumogakure’s delayed reparations, while the Third Raikage’s absence left his village vulnerable to Konoha and attacks from the other great nations. After returning to a devastated Kumogakure, the Third Raikage remained overwhelmed, and Bieshu Feifan decided to sell Fourth Raikage A to Kirigakure.

  • The Third Raikage left Kumogakure to ambush Bieshu Feifan, while Danzo and Bieshu Feifan used Kumogakure’s delayed payments to justify plundering the Land of Lightning.
  • The Daimyo of the Land of Lightning threatened Kumogakure with reduced military funding, forcing it to begin paying reparations, while Ōnoki, Sunagakure, and Kirigakure attacked or plundered its territory.
  • Bieshu Feifan taunted and mistreated the captive Fourth Raikage A as the Third Raikage waited in vain for the ransom exchange.
  • An Anbu delivered news of Kumogakure’s defeats and a threatening letter and box from Bieshu Feifan, prompting the Third Raikage to return to his village.
  • The Third Raikage found Kumogakure financially devastated and sat in despair, while Hiruzen Sarutobi returned to Konoha with spoils and Danzo gained a reputation for the negotiations.
  • Bieshu Feifan, Might Duy, and Might Guy discussed what to do with Fourth Raikage A, and Bieshu Feifan proposed selling him to Kirigakure.

Ch. 191Who Would Buy the Barbarian?

Bieshu Feifan failed to sell Fourth Raikage A to Kirigakure or Ōnoki, so he auctioned him in the Land of Wind. After a bidder tried to steal Fourth Raikage A, Bieshu Feifan captured him and added him to the auction.

  • Bieshu Feifan received no offer from Kirigakure, and Ōnoki replied with an insult when Bieshu offered him Fourth Raikage A.
  • The Third Raikage learned that Fourth Raikage A was being auctioned and smashed his desk in anger.
  • Bieshu Feifan began the auction, where bidders raised Fourth Raikage A's price to 1.3 billion before offers involving Kekkei Genkai Shinobi disrupted the bidding.
  • At the next day's auction, a burly man in a black robe bid three billion and tried to seize Fourth Raikage A, but Bieshu Feifan stopped him and stabbed him.
  • Bieshu Feifan announced that the captured Kumogakure jōnin would be auctioned with Fourth Raikage A as a bonus at the price of pork.

Ch. 192The Barbarian Was Sold

Bieshu Feifan sold Fourth Raikage A for 1.5 billion ryo, then split the proceeds with Might Duy and Might Guy. After the Third Raikage challenged Daddy Shinobi to a one-on-one fight, Bieshu Feifan considered how to respond while Danzo denied being Daddy Shinobi.

  • Bieshu Feifan sold Fourth Raikage A to a buyer for 1.5 billion ryo and gave the Kumogakure Jōnin spy to the underground market manager.

  • Bieshu Feifan refused to accept the challenge recklessly and resolved to make trouble for the Third Raikage.

Ch. 193The Third Raikage waited

While the Third Raikage waited in vain for Daddy Shinobi at their arranged battlefield, Bieshu Feifan infiltrated Kumogakure and used his Sharingan to control its ninja. He took over the Raikage's Office and began seizing the village's wealth, but a Cloud Ninja sensed that something was wrong.

  • The Third Raikage waited all day for Daddy Shinobi as Danzo, Kakuzu, and other onlookers eventually left without seeing him appear.
  • Bieshu Feifan surveyed Kumogakure, entered the village under cover of night, and used his Sharingan to make Cloud Ninja believe he was their father.
  • Bieshu Feifan reached the Raikage's Office, put Dodai to sleep, and took the Raikage's seat.
  • Bieshu Feifan ordered an Anbu to rob a noble and used Genjutsu to command Kumogakure's ninja to bring him the village's wealth.
  • Bieshu Feifan sealed away the village's Chakra Metal and continued issuing orders as a sensory-duty Cloud Ninja noticed the stream of belongings entering the Raikage Building.

Ch. 194The consequences of provoking Daddy Shinobi

Bieshu Feifan hypnotized Kumogakure shinobi into helping him loot the village, then destroyed the Raikage Building with explosive tags as he escaped. The Third Raikage learned of the devastation and regretted provoking Daddy Shinobi, but Ōnoki’s raid on Kumogakure’s border supplies reignited his rage.

  • Bieshu Feifan took over the Raikage's Office, hypnotized Cloud Ninja who came to report, and sent them out to rob Kumogakure's residents and merchants.

Ch. 195An all-out strike of stacked stats

After the Third Raikage refused to apologize, Bieshu Feifan attacked Kumogakure with a devastating ninjutsu that leveled most of the village. As Bieshu Feifan tried to escape, an unknown figure teleported in and struck him with Hell Stab.

  • The Third Raikage printed a leaflet insulting Daddy Shinobi instead of apologizing, so Bieshu Feifan flew back to Kumogakure and gathered chakra above the village.
  • Bieshu Feifan compressed the air around Kumogakure, then unleashed Wind Release: Compression Cannon with Years of Stacked Stats and reduced most of the village to ruins.
  • The Eight-Tails, with Killer B, attacked Bieshu Feifan, but he avoided the blast and decided not to capture the Tailed Beasts while Madara Uchiha was still alive.
  • Bieshu Feifan taunted the survivors and fled under Transparent Release while the Third Raikage restrained Killer B from pursuing him.
  • A burly figure teleported in front of Bieshu Feifan and struck his face with Hell Stab.

Ch. 196Facing the Land of Lightning's Biggest Barbarian

Bieshu Feifan fought the Third Raikage, testing attacks against his Lightning Release armor and trapping him with a reinforced Wood Clone. After the Third Raikage mistook a clone for Bieshu Feifan and struck it down, Bieshu launched a concentrated Wind Release attack whose outcome remained unknown.

  • The Third Raikage struck Bieshu Feifan, but hit a Wood Release substitute while Bieshu survived behind his armor and mask.
  • Bieshu Feifan learned that the Third Raikage's teleportation technique was called Heavenly Transfer Technique and attacked him with Wind Release techniques that wounded his chest.
  • The Third Raikage and Bieshu Feifan traded barrages of wind blades and bullets until Bieshu changed tactics and sent Wood Clones to trap the Raikage's arms in reinforced armor.
  • The Third Raikage broke free, resisted a clone's genjutsu, and pierced what he believed was Bieshu Feifan, only to leave the real Bieshu unharmed.
  • Bieshu Feifan compressed Wind Release chakra into a concentrated attack and fired Wind Release: Power of Numbers at the Third Raikage.

Ch. 197A declaration of peace in the Shinobi World

  • Sarutobi Tōgo made a small movement with his legs but lamented that his revolver was gone and asked whether doctors could attach one.
  • When Bieshu Feifan, Might Duy, and Might Guy arrived, Sarutobi Tōgo ordered his Anbu attendant to bar the door, while the three waited outside and ate the gifts they had brought.
  • Might Duy shoved the locked door open, and the trio entered to find Sarutobi Tōgo awake and offered him their leftovers.
