Bibi Dong grew up in Spirit Hall, where Qian Xunji raised her as his disciple and groomed her as his successor. She initially respected him as both her teacher and a father figure, unaware that he intended to make her his consort to perpetuate the Qian family's Angel Bloodline 4 10 30.

Fourteen years before the opening chapter, she had just finished hunting a soul beast when a swaddled infant fell from the sky and struck the ground hard enough to leave a crater. She took the child, Xu Feng, back to Spirit Hall and accepted him as her first disciple. Despite providing him with excellent resources, she found that he had reached only level 15 by the beginning of the story 1.

Hearing Xu Feng's Thoughts

Bibi Dong discovers that she can hear Xu Feng's inner voice when he thinks about information restricted to Spirit Hall's highest-ranking members. She conceals this ability and begins testing the reliability of his knowledge. His prediction that Qian Xunji will enter seclusion proves accurate, persuading her to take his warnings seriously 1 3.

Through his thoughts, she learns that Qian Xunji intends to use her exceptional talent to produce an heir. When she questions the Pope, his insistence that her advancement is important to the Qian family's bloodline reinforces her suspicions. Her obedience gives way to guarded resistance 4.

Break with Yu Xiaogang

Bibi Dong initially hopes that Yu Xiaogang loves her sincerely. After Xu Feng's warnings, however, she notices that Yu Xiaogang seeks her out to obtain Spirit Hall's resources rather than simply to see her. She ends their relationship 5 8.

During a later confrontation, she learns that his supposed research draws on Spirit Hall's ancient texts and that he has pursued Liu Erlong after their breakup. Bibi Dong secretly kills his ambush forces while Hu Yue administers poison. During the confrontation, Bibi Dong prevents his escape with an exploding Spider Emperor Clone, then allows Hu Yue to deliver the killing blow. Hu Yue dies from the poison she knowingly used; Bibi Dong buries her and promises to protect Hu Liena, resolving to accept the child as her second disciple 21 23.

Resistance Within Spirit Hall

Bibi Dong challenges Qian Xunji under the pretext of proving that his restrictions no longer suit her cultivation. The Rakshasa Demon Scythe breaks his defenses and severely injures him, forcing him to agree that she may cultivate independently 27 28.

She later nearly kills Yue Guan and Gui Mei after believing they have threatened Xu Feng. Instead of finishing them, she recruits them, assigns them a loyalty test, and gives each an immortal spirit fruit to stabilize his strength 41 42.

Qian Xunji subsequently surrounds her residence with a large force that includes several Enshrined Douluo. Bibi Dong kills several Platinum Bishops and severely wounds two Titled Douluo but cannot overcome the entire force. The assault ends when Qian Xunji determines that his plans to make her his consort remain viable—not because he has abandoned them 82.

Red Queen and the Nightmare

Rakshasa Divine Power begins amplifying Bibi Dong's desires and interfering with her judgment. A Heart-Clearing Pill temporarily removes its influence, but the evil thoughts later develop an independent consciousness, named Red Queen by Xu Feng 49 75 77.

Bibi Dong refuses to let Xu Feng destroy Red Queen. She reports visions in which Tang San kills her and Xu Feng dies if she resists that fate. She also values Red Queen's willingness to express desires that she herself is afraid to acknowledge 77.

Following the nightmare, her feelings become increasingly explicit. By Chapter 135, they are described as a couple, and Xu Feng promises to protect her as she once protected him. In the finale, she witnesses Qian Xunji and Tang Hao's alliance against Xu Feng. She retrieves Ah Yin's original body after her sacrifice and exposes Tang Hao's true intentions to her.
