"Young friend Ye Feng, this is our first meeting. I saw your impressive performance at the Chunin arena earlier and hoped to make your acquaintance. Would you have time for a private chat?" Takeda Hyuga spoke very courteously, even somewhat humbly.
Minato Namikaze and the others were also startled by Takeda Hyuga's attitude. The Hyuga Clan was one of Konoha's great clans. Even the Third Hokage treated Takeda Hyuga with courtesy when meeting him, let alone having Takeda Hyuga come in person and lower himself like this.
Ye Feng, however, saw nothing inappropriate about Takeda Hyuga's attitude. Still, for the Hyuga Clan's head to come in person, he surely wanted something from Ye Feng. After a little thought, Ye Feng understood his purpose.
So Ye Feng first said to Minato Namikaze:
"Go on ahead. I'll come over later."
Hearing Ye Feng say this, Minato Namikaze knew there probably wasn't anything serious, so he replied:
"Then hurry up. Don't think you can duck out of paying, or I'll come drag you over myself."
With that, Minato Namikaze left with the group.
Minato Namikaze seemed to be merely joking with Ye Feng, but he was also warning the Hyuga Clan not to lay a hand on him. He could return at any time to check on Ye Feng.
Ye Feng naturally understood Minato Namikaze's intention, but it didn't matter. He simply didn't think the Hyuga Clan could do anything to him. He gestured invitingly, welcoming Takeda Hyuga inside:
"Please, Clan Head Takeda."
Takeda Hyuga gave Ye Feng a slight bow of acknowledgment and walked inside. The two men following him also bowed in acknowledgment before following him in.
