Sylvanas feared that her family had perished along with Silvermoon City. She did not want to hear that news. Later, she heard that Kael'thas had returned to Silvermoon City and reestablished the Silvermoon Council with Patrick, and that the entire Kingdom of Quel'Thalas was beginning to return to normal. That only strengthened her resolve not to return to Silvermoon City. After all, how could she face her sister and brother-in-law, her father and mother, in this half-dead state?

Sylvanas could not bear such a bizarre reunion, and she also feared that her family would be unable to accept her as she was now. Those conflicting feelings continued to torment her. The once deeply responsible and inquisitive Ranger-General had already "died." Only the Banshee Queen, now filled with a thirst for vengeance, existed in this world.

Yet Sylvanas still worried about Silvermoon City's safety. She decided to send a Forsaken force into the Ghostlands to investigate. If anything unexpected happened, the Forsaken troops could also support the Elven forces.

But contrary to what Sylvanas expected, Quel'Thalas was now united from top to bottom, working wholeheartedly toward the revival of the Elven kingdom.

All the troops had assembled. Every soldier and officer was clad in battle gear and radiated killing intent, as though they could no longer restrain the slaughter in their hands and wanted to demonstrate the fighting strength of the Blood Elf forces.

Although the Prince had taken away several of the Blood Elves' most elite core forces, including the Sunfury, Eclipse, and Blood Guard, the formidable fighting strength those forces displayed in the battles in Outland had left even Illidan awestruck and dumbfounded.

Illidan had never seen or heard of such a way of fighting: utterly fearless of death and obeying only the commands of Kael'thas's Phoenix War
