The mothership's design was exceptionally ingenious, and Patrick was very pleased with the Magisters' Legion's work.
Pointing at the magical projection, Iniven explained to everyone, "The entire mothership is assembled using a Large Iron Chain Linkage, with composite magical wood decking laid over the chains. Each layer of planks is inscribed with Fireproof Magic Circles. The entire mothership is powered by magic, and a simple Mage Tower has also been built at its center to ensure that the various Magic Circles and Communication Magic operate smoothly. After preliminary sea trials, its performance out at sea was excellent and met all of the Lord Regent's requirements."
Patrick had not thought of installing Mage Towers on an aircraft carrier. On closer consideration, however, the magisters' design was perfect. Still, he wanted to hear their reasoning behind the Mage Towers' design.
"Tell me about those Mage Towers aboard the mothership. How did you design them?"
"My Lord Regent, the main structural layout was modeled on Silvermoon City and your Floating City. The central Mage Tower serves as the core control center, while the surrounding Mage Towers primarily serve defensive and offensive purposes. Wall-like protective structures have also been built between the Mage Towers to shield the Dragonhawk Riders in the middle from harm. As for the towers' internal design, it still has some shortcomings. Their functions are not yet comprehensive; at present, they serve only military purposes."
Patrick had noticed this problem as well. After all, the entire mothership was not a large warship constructed entirely from steel plates like those of later generations, and Azeroth's shipbuilding industry was not yet that advanced. To ensure the mothership's carrying capacity, the Mage Towers certainly could not be built from traditional construction materials. Instead, less dense materials had to be chosen to reduce their weight.
