The coalition forces of all Azeroth advanced toward the Sun Eater Temple. When they reached its entrance, the red doors with their gold trim were tightly shut, protected by a powerful shadow barrier. Conqueror Razelikh, Ras'lekh the Defiler, Doom Lord Kazzak, and the Eredar demon Socrethar were all demon lords capable of spellcasting. Something of this magnitude was no difficulty for them.
Despite all the commotion on the Isle of Quel'Danas, Kil'jaeden's four lackeys had yet to appear. This made no sense at all. Although demons placed no value on one another's lives, the Sunwell was the key to Kil'jaeden's arrival, after all. With such a huge disturbance, and all the demons on the perimeter cleared out, those four lackeys still had not appeared. Did Kil'jaeden intend to let everyone attack as they pleased?
This was far too strange, nothing like Kil'jaeden's usual style. As the Deceiver, Kil'jaeden loved nothing more than overcoming his opponents through schemes and trickery. Could she really not sense that something had changed at the Sunwell?
Even setting everything else aside, Kil'jaeden had always liked keeping everything belonging to everyone under his control. Yet now that an unforeseen factor had emerged at the Sunwell, he remained completely unmoved. There was probably something suspicious about this.
"Prince Kael'thas, Regent Patrick, the demons have completely sealed this place off. The mechanism controlling the doors has stopped working altogether," said the Spellbreaker stationed there.
"No matter." Patrick hardly cared about that.
With a thought, he gathered arcane energy in an instant, and an explosion blasted open the doors sealed shut by shadow energy. To everyone's surprise, the sight beyond the open doors was utterly deserted. It was completely quiet, without a single demon in sight. Patrick could not understand it at all.
