Just as Patrick had expected, everyone rejected his proposal. They had to see the world-ending crisis resolved with their own eyes.
As for Patrick summoning Kil'jaeden, they would certainly settle that score afterward. No one said anything about what Patrick had done. Even Krasus, Jaina, and Rhonin showed not the slightest displeasure, but Patrick was certain that a grudge had been made.
Still, it did not matter. With his connection to the Blue Dragons, Quel'Thalas was bound to fall out with the Red Dragons. Even if there were scores to settle afterward, who would be settling accounts with whom remained to be seen.
As everyone prepared to head toward the Sunwell Plateau, the Sunfury Legion and the Eclipse Burning Legion, which had only just been fighting a bloody battle, gathered their troops and prepared to board the Aircraft Carrier. The Naga swam into the sea, ready to act at any time.
"Go back to Sunlight City," Patrick said to Alleria, who had followed him all the way here. "With me here, I can't rest easy."
Patrick knew what he would be facing. Although Alleria was also a Legendary Ranger, a battle like this was far too dangerous. Too many things were unpredictable, and Patrick did not want her risking her life as well.
"I know your plan. Though I often can't offer you any help, at least let us face this together," Alleria said tenderly.
When all the plans began to unfold, Patrick had called his older brother Patterson over to make arrangements for the future. These included the distribution of powers across the continent, future development plans, and records of how to balance the other powers. Patrick had passed everything he knew on to Patterson in a rush, handing over all the notebooks containing his various arrangements and plans.
