Arc 22Wrathgate and Zul'Drak

Patrick exposed Neltharion’s agent, led the coalition to victory at Angrathar, and then turned to Zul'Drak to rescue the Animal Gods from the Drakkari Trolls. After freeing the corrupted Ursoc and rescuing all six gods, Patrick left their future allegiance undecided.

  • Patrick trapped Nalis, learned Neltharion had sent her to weaken Azeroth’s ley lines, and ordered her to spy from Wyrmrest Temple while the Arcane Pact claimed the Obsidian Sanctum as its headquarters.
  • Patrick helped unite the Alliance, Horde, Covenant, and Silver Hand for the Wrathgate assault, assigning the Forsaken and Ebon Blade to guard the coalition’s rear.
  • The coalition fought the Scourge at Angrathar, where Patrick and his allies confronted Ner’zhul until Tirion’s Holy Wrath dispersed the Death Realm Plague and forced the Lich King’s forces to retreat.
  • After the victory, Patrick arranged for the factions to clear nearby regions before approaching Icecrown and volunteered the Arcane Pact to handle Zul'Drak.
  • Patrick negotiated with Elder Kunani to offer the Tuskarr a path into the Arcane Pact, then agreed to help the Lynx Spirit save the Animal Gods from the Drakkari Trolls.
  • In Grizzly Hills, Patrick helped Uruk-Rum use Vordrassil’s Purify Dust to cleanse corrupted Furbolgs and restore Ursoc, who thanked Patrick for freeing him.
  • Patrick’s army entered Zul'Drak, freed Har'koa and the other captive Animal Gods, and followed the Lynx Spirit to Gundrak to rescue Akali.
  • Patrick killed Zol'Maz and freed Akali, while Regba asked the six Animal Gods what they planned to do next.
Chapters 550–575 Vol. 6 Read

Ch. 550Black Dragon Ambassador

Onyxia met with Nalis, the Black Dragon Ambassador, at Sunfury Spire and claimed to be Patrick’s prisoner to draw her into revealing her intentions. Patrick exposed his control over the office and prevented Nalis from transforming or escaping.

  • Onyxia explained that she could help Patrick through her influence over the Black Dragons, while Patrick questioned her about Nalis.
  • Patrick teleported Onyxia to his office at Sunfury Spire, where she used her runes to summon Nalis.
  • Nalis asked whether Onyxia had destroyed the Scourge in the Obsidian Sanctum and objected to the High Elves taking control of the sacred site.
  • Onyxia claimed that Patrick had enslaved her and showed Nalis the Arcane Runes that she called her shackles.
  • Patrick challenged Nalis, then activated the office’s runes and stopped her from transforming or escaping.

Ch. 551Into the trap

Patrick captured Nalis and pressured her into revealing the mission Neltharion had assigned her. Nalis disclosed that Deathwing was hiding in Deepholm, but she did not know his larger purpose or how to reach him.

  • Nalis threatened Patrick with the Black Dragon clan’s retaliation, but Patrick restrained her and demanded that she prove her value or be handed over to Malygos.
  • Nalis realized she had been lured into a trap and agreed to cooperate rather than risk falling into the Blue Dragons’ hands.
  • Kyrissa returned and recognized Nalis as the Black Dragon who had appeared at Wyrmrest Temple.
  • Patrick, Kyrissa, and Onyxia questioned Nalis, who revealed that Neltharion had sent her to find a weak point in Azeroth’s ley lines, gather energy, and seek a chance to break the Ley Line Defense System.
  • Kyrissa suspected Neltharion had another purpose, and Nalis said he was hiding in Deepholm but admitted she knew nothing more.

Ch. 552A new plan

Patrick confirmed that Neltharion was in Deepholm and turned Nalis into a secret intelligence source for the Arcane Pact. He and Kyrissa arranged to pull Kalecgos from Wyrmrest Temple and maintain influence there through new dragon representatives, while Patrick assigned the Obsidian Sanctum as the Pact’s Northrend headquarters.

  • Kyrissa confirmed that Patrick’s guess about Neltharion’s location in Deepholm was correct, though Patrick said they could not enter the elemental plane to find him.
  • Patrick placed arcane marks on Nalis and ordered her to return to Wyrmrest Temple as its Black Dragon Ambassador and secretly report intelligence.
  • Patrick told Kyrissa to have the Aspect of the Blue recall Kalecgos and send a trustworthy blue dragon to Wyrmrest Temple as the public Blue Dragon Representative.
  • Kyrissa agreed that Kalecgos should leave but argued that the blue dragons should not abandon Wyrmrest Temple to the red dragons.
  • Patrick proposed that the new Blue Dragon Ambassador and Nalis work together to keep Wyrmrest Temple under the Pact’s control, while Kyrissa said her father had already recalled his subordinates to the Azure Sanctum.
  • Patrick declared the Obsidian Sanctum the Arcane Pact’s Northrend ground-forces headquarters and warned Nalis not to interfere.

Ch. 553Before the battle of the Wrathgate

Onyxia persuaded Nalis to prioritize Patrick Cabrolon and consider cooperating with him rather than blindly serving Neltharion. Meanwhile, the Alliance and Horde gathered at the Wrathgate, but Patrick was unavailable as their leaders tried to agree on how to attack the Scourge.

  • Onyxia told Nalis that Neltharion treated them as pawns and advised her to follow Patrick's judgment and abandon Neltharion's mission if it became dangerous.
  • Onyxia explained that Patrick had purged the Old Gods' control over the Aspect of the Blue and could help the Black Dragon clan return to Azeroth, convincing Nalis to consider their cooperation.
  • Nalis and Onyxia agreed to work together, and Nalis transformed and flew away.
  • Dranosh Saurfang worried that Patrick would not meet with him despite the Horde vanguard having cleared the Scourge around its Wrathgate camp.
  • Bolvar and Rhonin sought Patrick to discuss a joint assault, while Bolvar hoped the Arcane Pact would take the first attack against the Scourge.

Ch. 554Jorin's proposal

Patrick received word that the Alliance and Horde were ready to fight the Scourge, and he ordered preparations for the battle of the Wrathgate. At the summit near Angrathar, Jorin proposed taking the gate quickly and sealing the Scourge inside Icecrown Glacier, and the plan won the leaders’ approval.

  • Yanida told Patrick that the Alliance and Horde were ready to attack after a joint demand from Tirion Fordring, Alonsus Faol, and Calia Menethil.
  • Patrick ordered the forces to prepare for the battle of the Wrathgate, and the Alliance, Horde, and Silver Hand gathered to surround Angrathar.
  • Patrick arrived at the summit and clashed with Rhonin before Tirion Fordring redirected the discussion to the Scourge threat.
  • Patrick, Darion, Taelan, King Agmar, and Bolvar discussed the dangers at Angrathar, Galakrond’s grave, and Gundrak.
  • Jorin proposed taking the Wrathgate before the Scourge’s main force reached Dragonblight and trapping Scourge forces inside Icecrown Glacier, and the leaders approved the plan.

Ch. 555Discord

Jorin proposed that the Forsaken and the Knights of the Ebon Blade guard the Coalition Forces' rear during the assault on the Wrathgate, while the main force used the terrain to contain the Scourge. Patrick pressed the Alliance and Dalaran to provide aerial support through the Red Dragons, leaving the factions facing expectations and obligations before the battle.

  • Bolvar asked how the Coalition Forces would protect their rear, and Jorin proposed assigning that duty to the Forsaken and the Knights of the Ebon Blade.
  • Darion, Kol'tira, Thassarian, Rotande Gili, and Faranell accepted the plan, agreeing to hold off Scourge forces while the others fought at the Wrathgate.
  • Patrick supported using Angrathar's terrain to fortify the Coalition Forces' position, while Halv Vem Bane warned that the Scourge's aerial forces posed a serious threat.
  • Patrick said the Blue Dragons would not shoulder all aerial combat and urged the Alliance and Dalaran to rely on their Gryphon Riders and the Red Dragons.
  • Patrick accused Dalaran of endangering Azeroth by drawing arcane energy from ley lines, and Rhonin challenged his claims about the Blue Dragons and the Nexus.
  • Patrick invoked Dragonblight's importance to the Red Dragons and pressured the Alliance and Dalaran to secure their help, while privately plotting to prevent them from shifting the burden to the Arcane Pact.

Ch. 556Prelude to war

Patrick rejected Dalaran’s appeals to neutrality, and Kael'thas accused the Kirin Tor of betraying him and plotting to control Quel'Thalas. The coalition prepared to attack the Scourge at Angrathar, while Arthas watched their preparations and welcomed the prospect of new soldiers.

  • Patrick challenged Rhonin over Dalaran’s ties to the Alliance and warned that their past debts would eventually be settled.
  • Kael'thas denounced the Kirin Tor for imprisoning him and described its ambitions to control Dalaran and Quel'Thalas.
  • Tirion Fordring redirected the dispute toward the Scourge, and the leaders agreed to pursue Jorin's proposal for the coming battle.
  • Patrick outlined a plan to secure Angrathar, destroy the Scourge forces outside Icecrown Glacier, and then advance on Icecrown Citadel.
  • The coalition forces established camps and defenses, with Rotande Gili, Faranell, and Darion preparing to hold off the Scourge near the Obsidian Sanctum.
  • Arthas watched the coalition through a soul image and smiled at the prospect of gaining many new soldiers.

Ch. 557Meeting adjourned

Kael'thas explained how Quel'Thalas lost influence in Dalaran and why he had cooperated with the Kirin Tor, while Patrick revealed he had long prepared for conflict with them. As the Coalition Forces readied an assault on the Wrathgate, Patrick waited for word from the Forsaken and Death Knights.

  • Kael'thas described how human mages rose in power and how the Kirin Tor replaced the Council of Tirisfal, leaving Quel'Thalas with little influence in Dalaran.
  • Patrick told Kael'thas that Aethas and Xendari led Dalaran's elves but held little power, and admitted the Kirin Tor were their main enemies.
  • Patrick explained he had prepared for conflict since learning the Council of Tirisfal had fallen, and Kael'thas agreed to let him act as he saw fit.
  • The Silver Hand Paladins and Quel'Thalas's troops struck the Scourge near the Wrathgate while the Alliance and Horde maintained combat readiness.
  • The Scourge gathered undead Vrykul, gargoyles, frost wyrms, necromancers, and summoners inside the Wrathgate as Patrick awaited reports from the Forsaken and Death Knights.

Ch. 558The Battle of the Wrathgate

The coalition prepared for the Scourge’s assault at the Wrathgate, with Patrick assigning Vashj’s forces to protect the rear and support the fight against the Scourge’s flying units. When the undead army poured out of Angrathar, the Alliance, Horde, and Arcane Pact launched into battle, and Illidan led the charge toward the gate.

  • Kael'thas rallied his subordinates in Sunlight City as reinforcements arrived.
  • Patrick assigned Vashj, Naj'entus, and Kalithresh to hold the rear while Vashj led the water warlocks and Sea Silk against the Scourge’s flying forces.
  • Necromantic power rose behind the Wrathgate, and the Scourge began raising corpses and organizing its troops.
  • Bolvar, Dranosh Saurfang, and the Arcane Pact leaders rallied their forces as the coalition prepared to meet the undead.
  • Undead Vrykul surged out of Angrathar, while the coalition attacked with artillery and Kael'thas and the archmages unleashed Flamestrikes.
  • Illidan led the charge toward the gate, cutting down high-ranking undead Vrykul with the Warglaives of Azzinoth.

Ch. 559The battle of the Wrathgate (2)

The Coalition Forces battled the Scourge at Angrathar as Patrick’s allies joined the fight and struck at the undead from the ground and sky. The arrival of red dragons, blue dragons, and gryphon troops strengthened the assault and left the coalition poised to seize control of the skies.

  • Vashj and the Water Warlocks unleashed lightning against Sindragosa and the frost wyrms, burning and killing many of them.
  • Kargath fought through the Vrykul, driven by his desire to avenge Ner'zhul’s betrayal.
  • Patrick saw red dragon reinforcements arriving with Krasus, then ordered High King Maulgar and Saragoss to send their forces into battle.
  • Saragoss transformed into a blue dragon and led dozens of blue dragons, including Halreen and Siannegos, into the fight.
  • Danath and Kurdran arrived at Angrathar with elite gryphon troops from Stromgarde and Aerie Peak.

Ch. 560The Lich King appeared

The Alliance, Horde, and Covenant pressed the Scourge at Angrathar as Patrick prepared for the Lich King’s arrival. Arthas appeared and revived the fallen undead, prompting Patrick and Tirion Fordring to confront him.

  • King Agmar led the Sky-Reavers against the Frost Wyrms while Krasus fought Sindragosa and helped relieve pressure on Vashj.
  • Anub'arak emerged with Scourge forces, and Patrick ordered Naj'entus to reinforce the rear while Hui Li and Liadrin led their troops into the attack.
  • Nochong and the Spellbreakers used magic to turn the Scourge's summoned skeletons and zombies against their former allies.
  • The Lich King appeared at Angrathar, unleashed magic that revived fallen corpses, and faced Patrick, who teleported from the rear base camp.
  • Tirion Fordring confronted Arthas and demanded that he pay for the lives he had taken.

Ch. 561The second showdown

Patrick and Tirion confronted Ner'zhul, who revealed that Arthas was his vessel and that Arthas's soul was trapped in Frostmourne. Patrick and Tirion battered the Lich King with Arcane and Holy Light attacks, and Kargath, Illidan, and Kael'thas arrived to demand payment for his crimes.

  • Ner'zhul confirmed that he controlled Arthas and held Arthas's soul inside Frostmourne.
  • Patrick explained his promise to support Lordaeron and attacked Ner'zhul with a Molten Fireball.
  • Patrick unleashed Arcane Flying Swords, while Ner'zhul shielded himself with undead and countered the flames with frost.
  • Tirion struck Ner'zhul with the Ashbringer and unleashed the Judgement of Justice, leaving the Lich King struggling after the explosions.
  • Kargath, Illidan, and Kael'thas confronted Ner'zhul and declared that he would answer for his debts.

Ch. 562Death Realm Plague

Ner'zhul's Scourge was driven back at Angrathar as Illidan, Patrick, Kael'thas, Kargath, and Tirion confronted the Lich King. Ner'zhul unleashed the Death Realm Plague on ordinary soldiers, turning the Coalition Forces' advance into chaos.

  • The Alliance, Horde, Covenant, and Silver Hand overwhelmed the Scourge, while Ner'zhul's forces could not use their sea-of-skeletons tactic in Angrathar's narrow valley.
  • Illidan and Patrick taunted Ner'zhul over his past service to Kil'jaeden, provoking the Lich King into attacking Illidan with Frostmourne.
  • Kael'thas, Illidan, Kargath, and Tirion joined forces against Ner'zhul, while a Vrykul Warrior blocked Kargath's strike.
  • Ner'zhul spread black mist that caused nearby Scourge to burst into plague-bearing blood mist and sickened ordinary Coalition soldiers.
  • Patrick identified the Death Realm Plague as its blood mist spread through Angrathar's gorge and disrupted the Coalition Forces' advance.

Ch. 563The Lich King's defeat and retreat

Tirion Fordring unleashed Holy Wrath, healing the Coalition Forces and devastating the Scourge, while Ner’zhul escaped into Angrathar with his commanders. The factions celebrated their victory and began preparing to hold the Wrathgate and continue the Northern Expedition.

  • Tirion Fordring called on the souls within the Ashbringer and unleashed Holy Wrath, dispersing the plague and purifying Scourge while healing Coalition soldiers.
  • Ner’zhul raised a Frost and Bone Wall to block Tirion’s attack, and Patrick, Kael’thas, and Illidan destroyed it.
  • Ner’zhul, Falric, Marwyn, Sindragosa, and the remaining Scourge forces retreated through Angrathar, whose gates then closed.
  • The Coalition Forces wiped out the remaining Scourge and celebrated their victory, with Salorian Dawnseeker mourning his losses and praising the approaching defeat of the Scourge.
  • The Alliance, Horde, Covenant, and other factions prepared to secure Angrathar, clear the areas around Dragonblight, and recall the Forsaken and Ebon Blade knights.

Ch. 564Postwar affairs

After the coalition’s victory at Angrathar, its leaders planned the campaign to clear the Scourge from the surrounding regions before attacking Icecrown. Patrick volunteered the Arcane Pact to deal with Zul’Drak, where the Drakkari trolls were slaughtering the animal gods.

  • Taelan and Tirion told Patrick that the Silver Hand had purged Mal’Ganis’s servants and reunited against the Scourge.
  • Rotande Gili and Darion joined the meeting, where Darion called for an immediate assault on Icecrown Citadel.
  • Patrick said the coalition first needed to clear the Scourge from Dragonblight and nearby lands before advancing into Icecrown Glacier.
  • Tirion asked the factions to take responsibility for nearby regions, and Patrick volunteered the Arcane Pact for Zul’Drak.
  • Patrick prepared to enter Zul’Drak to help the Lynx Spirit save the animal gods from the Drakkari trolls.

Ch. 565Allocation

Patrick and the other leaders divided responsibility for clearing the Scourge from Northrend, while agreeing to defend the Wrathgate and keep the Scourge contained in Icecrown Glacier. Patrick then prepared to lead a small force to Zul'Drak and gave Rommath access to his book on runeology to aid research into combat arcane golems.

  • Patrick confirmed that he planned to clear the Scourge from Zul'Drak while pursuing other business there.
  • Darion, Rotande Gili, King Agmar, Bolvar, and Rhonin agreed to take responsibility for Scourge threats in Dragonblight, Borean Tundra, Howling Fjord, and Crystalsong Forest, respectively.
  • Tirion Fordring's forces took responsibility for guarding the Wrathgate, while Patrick, King Agmar, and Bolvar pledged support to keep the Scourge from regaining control of it.
  • Patrick offered Tirion's army a place near the Obsidian Sanctum, and Tirion accepted the arrangement.
  • Patrick told Kael'thas that he would lead a small contingent to Zul'Drak, and Kael'thas promised to clear Dragonblight and the Wrathgate of the Scourge.
  • Patrick agreed to let Yanida give Rommath his book Combination Runeology for his research into combat arcane golems.

Ch. 566The Tuskarr's application

Patrick considered the Tuskarr's request to join the Arcane Pact and saw their local knowledge as useful for mapping Northrend's southern coast. After agreeing to negotiate with their chieftain, he learned that the Tuskarr had recently summoned Oacha'noa, a sea creature they called a water goddess.

  • Patrick traveled to Dal Island after Kael'thas confirmed his support for uniting Quel'Thalas's leadership.
  • The island administrator told Patrick that the Tuskarr wanted to cooperate with or join the Arcane Pact.
  • Kyrissa questioned the value of the Tuskarr, while Onyxia argued that their knowledge, turtle cavalry, and ships could help the Pact.
  • Patrick ordered the soldiers to summon Kunani so they could discuss the terms, noting that the island had originally belonged to the Tuskarr.
  • Karathress told Patrick's group that the Tuskarr had recently summoned Oacha'noa, who may have encouraged them to seek the Pact's protection.

Ch. 567Return to Maranor Harbor

Patrick arranged candidate membership and limited trade rights for the Tuskarr, then returned to Maranor Harbor after a successful first battle against the Scourge. He left with Alleria and the Lynx Spirit for Zul'Drak to help Animal Gods whose power the Trolls were stealing.

  • Patrick and the Arcane Pact leaders decided to offer the Tuskarr candidate membership, trading rights, and subsidies in exchange for work.
  • Onyxia negotiated with Elder Kunani, who applied for the Tuskarr to join the Arcane Pact; she explained they could become full members if they met the standards.
  • Patrick returned to Maranor Harbor and told Alleria that the first battle against the Scourge had succeeded, but that mass casualties could strengthen the enemy.
  • The Lynx Spirit told Patrick and Alleria that Trolls were stealing power from several Animal Gods in Zul'Drak and asked for their help.
  • Alleria agreed to send part of her forces to Zul'Drak and ordered the troops to prepare.

Ch. 568Uruk-Rum

Patrick led his forces into Grizzly Hills, where Alleria and Varedis sensed a strange, chaotic presence. Meanwhile, Uruk-Rum prepared to flee with the last clearheaded Grizzlemaw furbolgs and seek help against the corruption consuming their kin.

  • Patrick marched his army from Howling Fjord into Grizzly Hills, burning vrykul who tried to interfere and releasing his arcane restraints to deter local beasts and elementals.
  • Alleria and Varedis sensed a chaotic aura in Grizzly Hills, and Patrick suspected that a life-form more chaotic than demons was responsible.
  • A Grizzlemaw furbolg reported Patrick's approaching party to Uruk-Rum, who was leading the remaining uncorrupted members of his clan away from the hills to find reinforcements.
  • Uruk-Rum worried that the revived Ursoc had gone mad after Vordrassil was planted, while Lord Kodian and Lord Osthorn remained trapped and the Frostpaw and Redfang Clans had been corrupted.

Ch. 569The Bear God's Plight

Uruk-Rum led Furbolg refugees fleeing the Old Gods’ corruption toward the Forgotten Cliffs, where they encountered Patrick’s High Elf force. After learning that Yogg-Saron had corrupted Ursoc and that Tur Ragingpaw had been captured, Uruk-Rum considered asking Patrick’s powerful group for help.

  • Uruk-Rum decided to lead his Furbolgs toward the Forgotten Cliffs to escape the corrupted clans pursuing them.
  • Patrick continued his army’s planned route after scouts reported that the approaching Furbolgs looked like refugees rather than attackers.
  • At the Forgotten Cliffs, Uruk-Rum asked Patrick’s force to let his people pass, and Patrick questioned him about what had happened.
  • Uruk-Rum revealed that Ursoc had been affected by the Old Gods and that Tur Ragingpaw had been captured by the maddened Furbolgs.
  • Patrick identified Yogg-Saron as the source of the corruption and allowed Uruk-Rum’s group to continue toward safety.
  • Uruk-Rum looked over Patrick’s powerful companions and considered seeking their help.

Ch. 570Ursoc the Demigod

Patrick and Uruk-Rum joined forces to rescue corrupted Furbolgs and traveled to Ursoc, whose Old God corruption had driven him mad. Ursoc attacked Patrick, who blocked the Bear God's blow with a radiant shield.

  • Uruk-Rum offered to guide Patrick's party through Grizzly Hills and explained that Vordrassil's Purify Dust could cleanse corrupted Furbolgs.
  • Patrick bound the charging corrupted Furbolgs with blue vines and asked Uruk-Rum to demonstrate the dust's power.
  • Uruk-Rum purified the Furbolgs, then distributed the dust to the shamans so they could save more of their people.
  • At the Heartblood Shrine, Uruk-Rum worried that Lady Kodian had left and might have been taken by Ursoc.
  • Patrick and his companions found the corrupted Ursoc southeast of Grizzlemaw, and the Bear God attacked Patrick.
  • Patrick raised a huge transparent disc that blocked Ursoc's full-force blow.

Ch. 571Saving the Bear God

Patrick fought the corrupted Ursoc and used Vordrassil’s Purify Dust to restore the Bear God to his gentle, uncorrupted form. Uruk-Rum promised to fulfill his agreement with Patrick, who then asked why the Night Elves had not used Nordrassil to resurrect the demigods after the War of the Ancients.

  • Patrick used his energy disc and arcane spells to hold off Ursoc, then trapped him with Bigby's Crushing Hand.
  • Uruk-Rum scattered Purify Dust from Vordrassil over Ursoc, driving the corruption from his body and healing his wounds.
  • Ursoc returned to his normal form and thanked Patrick for freeing him.
  • Patrick praised the Bear God brothers for sacrificing themselves to protect Azeroth, and Uruk-Rum promised to honor his agreement.
  • Patrick asked Uruk-Rum why Tyrande, Malfurion, and Cenarius had not used the World Tree and its blessings to resurrect the fallen demigods.

Ch. 573Har'koa

Patrick helped the Furbolgs at Grizzlemaw recover from Old God corruption, then led his army into Zul'Drak to free Har'koa. Har'koa explained that the Drakkari priests had betrayed the Animal Gods and were stealing their power, while the Lynx Spirit sensed that the others were in danger.

  • The Furbolgs regained their clarity, and Patrick warned Ulukrum that they would need a new World Tree to resurrect Ursol.
  • Ulukrum entrusted Grizzlemaw to Ursoc's offspring and High Priest Tual'Ragepaw, then guided Patrick's army toward The Avalanche.
  • Patrick's army entered Zul'Drak through the east gate and reached Har'koa's temple, where they wiped out the Trolls guarding the perimeter.
  • The Lynx Spirit confronted Har'koa's captors, and Patrick used a Spatial Riftwave to sever the chains binding her.
  • Har'koa told Patrick and the Lynx Spirit that the priests had betrayed the six Animal Gods and were stealing their power.
  • The Lynx Spirit sensed that the other Animal Gods' presences were becoming unstable and looked north for them.

Ch. 574Five Animal Gods

Patrick and his allies rescued five animal gods from the Drakkari Trolls and set out for Gundrak to save Akali. The gods feared High Warlord Zol'Maz, but the Lynx Spirit urged them onward as Patrick led the way.

  • Har'koa explained that the Drakkari Trolls had captured Akali and that she had been unable to resist their betrayal.
  • Patrick and his companions used Har'koa's information to rescue Sseratus, Quetz'lun, Rhunok, Mamtoth, and Har'koa from their temples.
  • Patrick told the animal gods he was rescuing them to honor his promise to the Lynx Spirit, leaving it to them whether they joined him afterward.
  • The Lynx Spirit calmed the animal gods and led the group toward Gundrak to rescue Akali.
  • Har'koa warned that Zol'Maz could gain Immortal-level combat strength by absorbing their power, but Rhunok and Mamtoth agreed to see how strong Patrick was.

Ch. 575Saving the Rhino God

Patrick defeated Zol'Maz and led his army into Gundrak, where Alleria killed the priest draining Akali, the Rhino God. After Patrick freed Akali, the Animal Gods rested with the army while he recovered, and Regba asked what they planned to do next.

  • Zol'Maz charged Patrick but was stopped by a spatial barrier, then Patrick killed him with a Spatial Riftwave.
  • Trolls who attacked Patrick were bound by pale blue vines and turned to ash, causing the others to flee as Patrick's army entered Gundrak.
  • Alleria shot the leading Troll priest, who was absorbing the Animal Gods' power, and the Rangers and Animal Gods drove off the remaining Trolls.
  • Patrick freed Akali from his chains, and the Lynx Spirit explained how the Trolls had betrayed him to the Animal Gods.
  • Patrick's army rested near Gundrak while Akali recovered, and Regba asked the six Animal Gods about their plans for the future.
