The Immortal Soul is encountered by Lu Ren in an ancient Immortal Palace. Manifesting as a middle-aged man, he immediately recognizes Lu Ren’s Void of Destiny Sword Soul and identifies him as Lu Aoxian’s son. He claims that Lu Aoxian fled to the Guixu Star Domain and sent Lu Ren a million years into the future through Space-Time Laws 2240.

Believing Lu Ren’s body can endure the Primordial Demonic Eye, the Immortal Soul attempts to seize it for his own rebirth. He turns into a stream of light to enter Lu Ren’s body, but the King of the Great Tomb, Zhang Luoxian, Ancestor Mu Qian, and Ancestor Bai Xu strike him with a combined mental attack. The Reincarnation Ancient Pagoda can suppress him because he is only a remnant soul 2240.

He remains a hostile presence in Lu Ren’s later struggle to cultivate the immortal path. During their confrontation, Lu Ren reveals that he has preserved his Mortal Nature within a Primordial Stone, openly defying the Immortal Soul’s expectations 2285.
