Automatically picking out the keyword, Fu Yanci turned to look at Chi An. The latter showed little reaction, silently watching the group below.
"Oh! Wild coffee and cake!" One of them spotted the things beneath the tree and hurried over.
Shit! We forgot to bring the stuff up!
"I bought those for you." Fu Yanci made to jump down, but watched Chi An's expression as he moved.
He absolutely couldn't let anyone else benefit from what he had bought, especially since he had picked these out specifically for Chi An.
Chi An said, "Mm, I know. Go down and get them. We can look around somewhere else while we're at it."
He hadn't intended to climb a tree to hide from these people in the first place. Perhaps school had etched it into his DNA: whenever he heard strangers talking, he instinctively found somewhere to hide and eavesdrop.
"Then I'll give him a scare while I'm at it. Hold on to me." Fu Yanci flashed a mischievous smile and patiently waited for the guy to approach.
"Where?" The companion accompanying the man widened his eyes and looked around after hearing him.
Deliberately keeping the location to himself, the young man hurried beneath the tree and gathered the things into his arms. "Hehe, I found them first. They're all mine!"
"Really?"
A male voice came from overhead. At first, the young man thought he was hearing things, but then someone jabbed the top of his head hard several times. A flood of terrifying images instantly filled his mind. He froze, not daring to look up.
"Hey, what are you doing?"
"Nathan, why aren't you turning around?"
