Having finished looking around the school, their next stop was the little house they had once lived in.
When Chi An took out his key to open the door, Fu Yanci's heart suddenly began racing for some reason. He had only been away for two years, yet it felt as though he had been gone for ages.
The door opened before him, and the first thing he saw was a bouquet of pink roses. Before he could recover from his shock, Chi An walked in, picked up the flowers, and held them out to him. "They're for you. Aren't you going to take them?"
"Yes! Of course I am. They're from you..."
He stood outside the door, holding the flowers in a daze. If Chi An hadn't been unable to bear watching and pulled him inside, Fu Yanci probably could have stood in the doorway all day.
"It's just a bouquet. Has it already made you stupid?"
Fu Yanci didn't answer. He carefully set the flowers on the coffee table, then turned and pounced on Chi An, pinning him beneath him.
The breeze stirred the little flowers by the window, making them sway in the wind as they witnessed the sun setting, until night finally fell.
"We should head back. Grandpa's still waiting for us to have dinner."
In the living room, Chi An leaned forward and nudged Fu Yanci's head, freeing his legs from beneath him. "You've made my legs go numb lying on them. Massage them for me."
"Just your legs? Don't you need a massage anywhere else?" Bracing himself against the back of the sofa, Fu Yanci sat up, shifted positions, and gathered Chi An into his arms.
"If you already know, why ask? You can abstain for a while."
