Arc 21The Fall of Arthas and Ulduar

Dick and the champions defeated Arthas, ending the Scourge and establishing Uther as leader of a new undead force. Dick then rallied the Titan Guardians against Loken, killed him with Odyn’s help, and discovered that the Burning Legion had breached the defenses protecting Azeroth.

  • Kael'thas and Rhonin split their forces to confront Dar'Khan and destroy the Forge of Souls, while the Alliance and Horde fought to hold their lines against the Scourge.
  • Tirion Fordring, Velen, and the other champions defeated Icecrown’s defenders and confronted Arthas, but Frostmourne let him overpower them until Dick identified the ice peaks as the source of his strength.
  • The champions shattered Frostmourne and freed its souls, and Dick showed the dying Arthas the child he had failed to save, and Uther later accepted the Helm of Domination and agreed to lead the undead against the Burning Legion.
  • Arthas’s death stopped the Scourge’s assault, and the surviving Alliance and Horde forces celebrated as the undead withdrew toward Icecrown Glacier.
  • After the victory, Uther organized Watcher recruitment, Senxia expanded her criminal army for Draenor, and the leaders debated the Ebon Blade, border threats, and peace.
  • Dick and Jianxi defeated Biyagri’s Iron soldiers, while Brann and Lorewalker Cho discovered the Tribunal of Ages and restored Ulduar’s external defenses with a Platinum Disc.
  • Dick recruited Algalon and the Elements Watchers, then entered the Halls of Lightning, where he and his allies fought through Loken’s forces and killed Loken with Odyn’s Gungnir.
  • Dick activated the Halls of Lightning system and learned that the Wall of the Great Dark Beyond protected Azeroth, but the Burning Legion had already found ways to breach it.

Ch. 505Forge of Souls: The Last Line of Defense

After Sindragosa’s death, Malygos refused to seek revenge yet and focused on preparing for the coming war. Meanwhile, Kael’thas and Dalaran’s mages entered Icecrown’s hidden stronghold, splitting forces to attack Dar’Khan and the Forge of Souls as they learned Arthas had enslaved Antonidas’s soul.

  • Alexstrasza urged Malygos to avenge Sindragosa, but he chose to let go of his hatred and continue preparing for the war.
  • Plugger’s soul orb revealed a hidden entrance in the saronite wall, and Kael’thas melted a passage through it to reach Dar’Khan.
  • Plugger told Khadgar that Arthas had resurrected and enslaved Antonidas, prompting Khadgar to join Rhonin and Jaina’s cause.
  • At the three-way fork, Plugger explained that the Forge of Souls lay to the left, the Halls of Reflection to the right, and the Pit of Saron in the middle.
  • Kael’thas led his forces and Plugger toward Dar’Khan in the Halls of Reflection, while Rhonin, Jaina, and Khadgar took Dalaran’s forces to destroy the Forge of Souls and free Antonidas.

Ch. 506The roar of the lion and the war banner

Darion struggled to command the collapsing human defensive lines while his brother Taelan faced death at the First Defensive Line. Varian and the other leaders arrived with reinforcements, and Thrall rallied the Horde on another desperate front as the battle against Arthas continued.

  • Darion learned that the Fifth Defensive Line had fallen, the artillery position had been destroyed, and the First Defensive Line was under heavy attack.
  • Darion threatened Old Hawke for refusing to divert mages from the Ebon Blade line, but Taelan told him to stand down before the First Defensive Line went silent.
  • Varian arrived with Windsor, Magni, Daelin, and Tyrande, then gave Windsor command and sent fresh Alliance troops into battle.
  • Tyrande summoned a meteor shower to support the defenders and gave Darion a World Tree horn, promising that Barnes would fight beside him.
  • Nerubians overwhelmed the Horde front, and Garrosh carried his gravely wounded brother Jorin toward the rear as Thrall arrived with reinforcements.
  • Thrall ordered Rehgar, Garrivitz, and Rokhan to reinforce the Horde lines, then led the remaining warriors in a counterattack.

Ch. 507Above the crown, beneath the shadows

Tirion Fordring and Saurfang fought Lord Marrowgar while Velen defeated Lady Deathwhisper on the platform above. The battle left Marrowgar doomed and Deathwhisper reduced to ashes, though her last words claimed the deaths were part of the Lich King's plan.

  • Tirion Fordring charged Lord Marrowgar and stopped his attack, giving Saurfang an opening to strike the bone behemoth with his Spine War Axe.
  • Saurfang severed two of Lord Mal'Ganis's heads, then used Shadowmourne's Myriad Forms to unleash a soul storm that left the monster helpless.
  • Tirion Fordring raised his battle-axe and struck down Mal'Ganis with holy light.
  • Velen faced Lady Deathwhisper in the Preacher's Hall, where her shadow magic failed to penetrate his holy aura.
  • Velen shattered Deathwhisper's mana shields with the Redemption Scepter and burned her with Holy Fire until she became ashes.
  • As the flames died, Lady Deathwhisper's fading voice claimed everything was part of the master's plan.

Ch. 508The sacred and the fallen

Dick and his allies defeated the Blood Princes in the Crimson Hall and opened the path to the Frozen Throne. The champions gathered before Arthas, who vowed to enslave them and remake the world in death.

  • Dick and his allies fought Keleseth, Taldaram, Ramthal, and the San'layn in the Crimson Hall, killing the princes and their forces.
  • Anveena destroyed the blood orb, opening the path through the ice pillar to the Frozen Throne.
  • Tirion Fordring, Mograine, Vol'jin, Uther, and the other assault leaders finished their battles and entered the portal to the Frozen Throne.
  • Tirion Fordring and the assembled champions confronted Arthas at the Frozen Throne.
  • Arthas rose from his throne and declared that he would make the champions his servants and begin a world of death.

Ch. 509Frostmourne's fury

Arthas used Frostmourne’s accumulated souls to overpower the champions, but Dick realized the sword’s power was finite and led a plan to break the ice peaks connecting Arthas to the Forge of Souls. After Arthas unleashed Frostmourne’s soul storm, he prepared to raise the fallen champions, only to discover that they had survived.

  • Uther, Mograine, Saurfang, Dick, and Tirion attacked Arthas, but Frostmourne’s power let him repel them and rapidly heal his wounds.
  • Dick identified Frostmourne as the source of Arthas’s strength and urged the others to destroy the ice peaks while he, Uther, and Velen held Arthas back.
  • Dick and Uther repeatedly blocked Arthas from reaching the throne as Tirion, Mograine, Saurfang, and Vol'jin attacked the ice peaks.
  • Arthas drove Frostmourne into the platform and unleashed a storm of frost and souls that tore apart the Frozen Throne.
  • Arthas prepared to resurrect the champions, but Dick and the others emerged alive and told him he had underestimated them.

Ch. 510Antonidas's children

Jaina, Rhonin, and Khadgar fought through the Forge of Souls and confronted their former mentor Antonidas, who had fallen into darkness and challenged them to battle. Meanwhile, Kael'thas burned through the Halls of Reflection and found Dar'Khan waiting ahead.

  • Jaina, Rhonin, and Khadgar defeated Bronjahm and advanced toward the Forge of Souls.
  • The mages and Liadrin reached the Great Forge and found Antonidas guarding the souls stored there.

  • Kael'thas used Oh to engulf the Halls of Reflection in flames and overcame Falric, Marwyn, and their undead forces.
  • Kael'thas spotted Dar'Khan at the far end of the halls and threatened to settle their old scores.

Ch. 511Another journey

Rhonin, Jaina, Khadgar, and Liadrin fought Antonidas in the hall outside the Forge of Souls, where the Lich’s command over souls made him a formidable opponent. The Forge’s power faltered during Arthas’s attack elsewhere, allowing Antonidas to regain himself before Khadgar’s fused spell killed him.

  • Antonidas used soulfire and temporal phantoms to hold off Rhonin, Jaina, Khadgar, and Liadrin.
  • Rhonin and Bobo destroyed Antonidas’s phantoms while Khadgar sealed the space around him and Jaina prepared Mana Siphon.
  • Jaina dispelled Antonidas’s soul shield, but he slipped into another time and struck Liadrin down with soulfire.
  • Arthas’s attack with Frostmourne weakened the Forge of Souls and briefly restored Antonidas’s awareness.
  • Rhonin and Jaina combined their magic through Khadgar, whose spell destroyed Antonidas as he accepted his death.

Ch. 512I am order!

Dick and his allies weakened Arthas by destroying the ice pillars and sealing the Forge of Souls, but Arthas stabbed Dick before his power faded. A mysterious silver-armored being appeared in the final moment and declared himself Order, challenging Arthas to face judgment.

  • Dick and his allies survived Frostmourne’s eruption, though Vol’jin was too wounded to continue fighting.
  • Mograine and Tirion Fordring destroyed two ice pillars while Dick held off Arthas, who summoned a hurricane and eight Val’kyr.
  • Dick’s command could not make the Val’kyr attack Arthas, and Arthas used a Frost Orb to create an opening and stab Dick through the abdomen.
  • Anveena tried to heal Dick as he held Frostmourne back and revealed that the Forge of Souls had been sealed.
  • Arthas’s soul empowerment vanished, but he raised Frostmourne to kill Dick before a surge of silver light blasted him away.
  • A mysterious silver-armored being appeared with the Aegis of Aggramar and declared, “I... am order!”

Ch. 513From hell's heart I stab at thee

Dick’s uncontrolled order angel form fought Arthas alongside the gathered champions, who wounded and pinned the Lich King as he unleashed Frostmourne’s fury. Meanwhile, Malygos destroyed Arthas’s preserved heart, denying him his final hope as the battle reached its climax.

  • The order angel and Arthas clashed while Saurfang, Uther, Tirion Fordring, Velen, Vol'jin, and Mograine sealed off the Lich King’s escape routes.
  • Arthas summoned undead as cannon fodder and challenged the order angel to take his life.
  • Saurfang ambushed Arthas, then the order angel, Tirion Fordring, and Mograine struck him in succession.
  • Uther severed Arthas’s right arm, and the order angel stopped Frostmourne from killing Mograine.
  • Mograine, Uther, and Saurfang pinned Arthas with Ashbringer, Death's Verdict, and an axe as he vowed to unleash Frostmourne’s fury.
  • Malygos found Arthas’s preserved heart in the Dark Cathedral and destroyed it, refusing to forgive him for what he had done to Sindragosa.

Ch. 514Broken sword? The king's final curtain

Arthas unleashed Frostmourne’s stored souls in a final attempt to destroy his enemies and Icecrown, but Malygos’s destruction of his frozen heart disrupted the storm and allowed his opponents to break the runeblade. As Arthas lay dying, Dick showed him the child he had managed to save.

  • Arthas released Frostmourne’s stored souls, trapping Uther, Tirion Fordring, and Mograine in a storm that threatened Icecrown Glacier and the Forge of Souls.
  • Kael'thas urged Rhonin, Jaina, and Khadgar to reinforce their seal around the Forge of Souls, while Erigor led Lordaeron’s defenders into a final stand.
  • Malygos destroyed Arthas’s frozen heart, disrupting his control of the soul storm and freeing Uther, Mograine, and Tirion Fordring to strike him.
  • Saurfang knocked the Helm of Domination from Arthas, and the Order Angel, Uther, and Tirion Fordring shattered Frostmourne with their weapons.
  • Dick gathered the rampaging souls into a lantern and showed the dying Arthas a frightened, golden-haired child, saying he had arrived too late to save anyone else.

Ch. 515Hey, baby, hail to the king!

Dick witnessed Arthas's death after Arthas freed Anarell and reconciled with his father, Terenas. He then persuaded Uther to take command of the undead as the new Lich King, bound to protect Azeroth from Draenor, and assigned Anarell as his disciple and successor.

  • Arthas freed Anarell from his soul and spoke with Terenas before he and his father burned away together.
  • Uther tried to throw himself from the Frozen Throne, but Dick sent the Val'kyr Warriors to rescue him.
  • Dick convinced Uther that the Knights of the Ebon Blade could serve a new purpose by leading the undead against the Burning Legion on Draenor.
  • Uther accepted the Helm of Domination and swore an oath to lead the Nightwatcher's Burning Legion.
  • Dick named Anarell Uther's disciple and successor because of his connection to Frostmourne's fragments.

Ch. 516Final volume of the undead-The great migration of the dead

After Arthas died, the undead offensive across the Angrathar Battlefield stopped, and the exhausted Alliance and Horde realized they had won. The survivors began withdrawing as the undead marched silently back toward Icecrown Glacier under a new commander, bringing the Undead Scourge’s history to an end.

  • Taelan fought desperately at the front lines and watched his deputy Hawke die just before the battle turned.
  • The undead across the battlefield abruptly stopped attacking and turned toward Icecrown Citadel after Arthas’s will fell silent.
  • Darion declared that Arthas was dead, and Alliance and Horde forces celebrated their victory.
  • Taelan mourned Hawke while Tirion Fordring ordered the survivors to retreat and said the undead would return to Icecrown Glacier under a new Lich King.
  • Marshal Windsor urged Taelan and Darion to focus on the victory as the undead silently migrated away, marking the end of the Scourge.

Ch. 517Spring of year twenty-six

Althea Ebonlocke arrived at Southshore Harbor to become mayor of Amberpine City, accompanied by Westfall pioneers and Lord Duhan, her appointed deputy. At her lodging, her protector Talenia warned her not to pursue the Duke of Theramore’s affairs, while Althea insisted her brother Kanrethad return home for their father’s birthday.

  • Mayor Heni Mareb welcomed his old friend Duhan and learned that Duhan would serve as deputy mayor of Amberpine City.
  • Althea Ebonlocke introduced herself as Amberpine City’s new mayor, while Duhan arrived to lead Westfall pioneers and command the city guard.
  • Heni arranged lodging for Althea, and she met Talenia, the elf warlock assigned to protect her.
  • Althea asked Talenia to tell Kanrethad to return for their father’s birthday and threatened to ask Mr. Dick if he refused.
  • Talenia warned Althea that pursuing matters connected to the Duke of Theramore could put her and her family in danger.

Ch. 518Theramore: The World's End Recruiting Office

Tony Two-Tooth and Grok lured criminals into Theramore's World's End Tavern, where Demon King Senxia was secretly gathering an army for the Mardum Battlefield. Gamon overheard the plan, but Senxia caught him and prepared to send him to Outland as cannon fodder.

  • Tony Two-Tooth and Grok brought Gamon and dozens of other criminals through a hidden entrance to the World's End Tavern.
  • Senxia learned that Tony had gathered 267 villains that month, bringing the total force to nearly two thousand.
  • Senxia ordered Tony to assemble the fleet and attack Steamwheedle Port to recruit enough villains for a six-thousand-strong army bound for Draenor.
  • Tony explained that the atonement clause had sent many criminals to Northrend, and Senxia tasked him with gathering at least three thousand more next month.
  • Gamon overheard Senxia's plan, but Senxia caught him with a lightning-wreathed vine and said the Lord of Outland would use him as cannon fodder.

Ch. 519Differences

Alliance and Horde commanders met with Uther’s envoys to debate the Watchers’ recruitment and the future of the dead, then confronted growing tensions involving the Dragonmaw Orcs and border territories. The meeting ended with a call for a Leaders’ Conference to pursue peace.

  • Mograine rejected Uther’s request to recruit fallen Alliance champions, and Tirion proposed extending the pact of the departed while asking Uther to restrain his efforts to find undead recruits.
  • Uther agreed to stop insisting on the champions but warned that the war in Outland was more urgent than the commanders understood and announced that Ebon Blade Knights would serve as Watcher recruitment stations.
  • Thassarian explained that a civil conflict among the Ebon Blade had followed Arthas’s death and called its resolution a purification, while Koltira implied that resisters had been killed.
  • Tirion questioned Saurfang and Vol’jin about the Dragonmaw Orcs threatening Lordaeron’s borders, and Vol’jin admitted that Dragonmaw recruits had caused unrest in Orgrimmar.
  • Saurfang asked Orgrimmar to accept Blackrock Orcs and raised the Alliance camps in Stonetalon Mountains, but Bolvar said his kingdom would not accept the proposal and would only stop expanding the camps.
  • The dwarven prince called for a Leaders’ Conference to pursue peace.

Ch. 520Advance! The Halls of Lightning

General Biyagri led an Iron Burning Legion raid against Jianxi and the Mogu Burning Legion at the Forge of Wills, only to discover that the battlefield was a trap. After Jianxi’s victory, Dick prepared to send Brann Bronzebeard through the Halls of Stone to open a route into Ulduar and reach Loken.

  • General Biyagri led ten to twelve thousand Iron soldiers toward the Forge of Wills, hoping to restore it and reopen Ulduar.
  • Biyagri’s force charged onto the plain, where Jianxi led several thousand mogu soldiers in a frontal attack.
  • Jianxi and Biyagri fought while the Iron Burning Legion gained the apparent advantage over the mogu.
  • Jianxi sounded a horn, and thousands of undead rose from the snow as black gargoyles filled the sky, surrounding Biyagri’s army.
  • Biyagri threw down his weapons, and Jianxi offered the defeated Iron soldiers a chance to live under the great emperor.
  • Dick asked Brann Bronzebeard to break through the Halls of Stone blockade so his legion could advance into Ulduar and confront Loken.

Ch. 521Halls of Stone: In search of the Tribunal of Ages

Brann Bronzebeard and Lorewalker Cho explored the Halls of Stone, where an accidental mechanism led them into a chamber guarded by an awakened stone giantess. After escaping, they continued searching the ruins and set out toward a passage Brann believed led to the Tribunal of Ages.

  • Brann and Lorewalker Cho explored the Halls of Stone with an elite Earthen unit following behind, and Cho identified iron fel runes as part of a life-and-iron formula.
  • Cho accidentally pressed a hidden brick, opening a massive stone door, and Brann entered the dark chamber with him.
  • Brann and Cho awakened a giant stone guardian, then fled as Cho's Lorewalkers Scroll briefly slowed her and Brann closed the door.
  • Brann and Cho rested, abandoned the dangerous branch, and returned to explore another part of the Halls of Stone.
  • Brann chose the snow-covered platform near the great disk and led Cho and the Earthen toward what he believed was the Tribunal of Ages.

Ch. 522Brann knew everything!

Brann and Lorewalker Cho discovered the Tribunal of Ages while fleeing Steel Iron Dwarves and Iron Giants, but activating it triggered its judgment protocol against them. Brann used a Platinum Disc to identify himself as Acting High Guardian Dick Bronz'an, stopping the attack and restoring Ulduar’s external defense system, though the Halls of Lightning node still needed manual activation.

  • Brann and Lorewalker Cho fled through an ancient rune-covered passage as Steel Iron Dwarves and two Iron Giants pursued them.
  • Brann’s dark iron bombs blasted them into a hall, where Lorewalker Cho recognized a star chart dating back at least fifty thousand years and they found the Tribunal of Ages.
  • Brann and Lorewalker Cho activated the console, and the Tribunal’s judgment protocol destroyed the pursuing Iron Dwarves and Iron Giants before turning against them.
  • Lorewalker Cho tried to control the console while Brann searched his pack for a Platinum Disc, and the Tribunal began a memory deletion protocol.
  • Brann inserted the Platinum Disc, which confirmed his identity as Acting High Guardian Dick Bronz'an and restored Ulduar’s external defense system, leaving the Halls of Lightning node to be activated manually.

Ch. 523The Vault of Archavon

Dick entered the Vault of Archavon in Wintergrasp, seeking its resources and the Runes Giants who guarded them. He awakened Algalon, who mistook him for an invader and prepared to attack.

  • Dick traveled to Wintergrasp and identified the Vault of Archavon as his destination.
  • He used the vault's starlight projection to enter and took Algalon's Stone Diary as a gift for Brann Bronzebeard.
  • Dick sped deeper into the vault while Algalon remembered how he and his brothers had defended it from Loken's Iron Burning Legion for ten years.
  • The Runes Giants shouted at Dick, waking Algalon from his memories.
  • Algalon opened the stone doors and declared that the intruder would meet his doom.

Ch. 524The wrath of the Elements Guardians

Dick entered the Vault of Archavon and fought Algalon and his three brothers, the Elements Watchers, until the Aegis of Aggramar and his arm revealed his connection to their old comrade Tyr. After hearing about Tyr’s death and the corruption threatening the world, Algalon agreed to join Dick’s campaign against Ulduar and ordered the Vault Guardians to prepare for war.

  • Algalon attacked Dick, mistaking him for an invader, and summoned Koralon, Emalon, and Toravon to help defeat him.
  • Dick survived the combined elemental assault, and Algalon recognized the Aegis of Aggramar and the arm Dick had received from Tyr.
  • Algalon and his brothers verified the shield, apologized to Dick, and asked what had happened to Tyr.
  • Dick told the Guardians about Tyr’s death, the corruption of the Titan Keepers, and his plan to liberate Ulduar.
  • Dick invited Algalon and the Elements Watchers to join his army, and Algalon accepted and ordered the Vault Guardians to reforge their army.

Ch. 525Creation: The deepest secret of the Halls of Stone

Dick joined Brann and Lorewalker Cho at the Halls of Stone after they uncovered the Tribunal of Ages’ secret: the Creator, a Titan apparatus tied to the origins of life. After defeating its Iron Vrykul guards, Dick reached the machine and wondered about the power of its makers and the challenge awaiting him.

  • Dick returned to the Storm Peaks with three legendary gifts from Algalon and learned that Brann and Lorewalker Cho had found the Tribunal of Ages and a secret in the Halls of Stone.
  • Brann confronted Dick over the dwarves’ origins, and Dick gave him a stone book of ancient history as an apology while receiving two Discs of Norgannon that raised his Divergence to 61% and unlocked new skills.
  • Dick learned that a machine called the Creator lay beyond a guarded door, and Brann and Cho persuaded him to let them witness the discovery despite the danger.
  • Dick opened the door using his authority over Azeroth, revealing the Creator and a Runemaster surrounded by Iron Vrykul soldiers.
  • Dick killed the soldiers with Solar Lance and shattered the Runemaster with a powered punch, then approached the Creator’s controls and reflected on the challenge it represented.

Ch. 526Breaking in-Halls of Lightning

Dick led Heimdall, Eir, and their Val'kyr forces into the Halls of Lightning to confront Loken, crushing the Iron Vrykul and Iron Dwarves guarding its entrance. The chapter left Dick preparing to reach Loken while eyeing the dormant Iron Burning Legion below, which he intended to claim after killing him.

  • Dick asked Heimdall and Eir about Algalon and considered summoning the Star Spirit Observer, but Heimdall warned that Algalon might trigger Azeroth's reset command.
  • Dick entered the Halls of Lightning through Loken's storm-filtered portal, which could not stop him or Odyn's forces.
  • Dick smashed through the Iron Vrykul ambush and blasted a long passage clear with a Solar Lance.
  • Dick and Heimdall cowed the remaining Iron Soldiers into fleeing, though Dick later killed nearly a hundred with another Solar Lance.
  • Dick spotted almost thirty thousand dormant Iron Burning Legion soldiers beneath the Halls of Lightning and resolved to claim them after killing Loken.

Ch. 527The one who started it all

Dick advanced through Loken’s palace and confronted the corrupted Guardian in the Celestial Planetarium. He summoned a powerful force of allies to face Loken, who finally showed fear as they prepared to judge him.

  • Anveena and Lei Shi attacked the Storm Elemental guarding Loken’s palace while Dick continued deeper inside.
  • Sylvana and the other Val’kyr cleared the Iron Burning Legion as Dick approached the Celestial Planetarium beneath its enormous starry dome.
  • Dick, Heimdall, and Eir defeated the two Runes Giants guarding Loken.
  • Loken declared that Yogg-Saron would be freed and the Pantheon would fall, while Dick condemned him as a ruined shell controlled by the Old God.
  • Dick opened a portal with a fragment of rock and summoned Archaedas, Ironaya, Algalon, Ymiron, Nozdormu, Alexstrasza, Malygos, Ysera, and the others to confront Loken.

Ch. 528The death of a traitor

Dick and the assembled Guardians overwhelmed Loken, who escaped toward Ulduar before Odyn killed him with Gungnir. Loken died in the Storm Peaks, leaving one of the chief culprits dead.

  • Algalon, Nozdormu, Malygos, and the others attacked Loken, while Dick noticed that Titan energy escaped from Loken's wound.
  • Loken unleashed the Might of Creation, but Dick's Solar Spears broke through his defenses and shattered his Sapphire Crown.
  • Loken fled through a spatial passage toward Ulduar, surviving the combined efforts of Dick, Malygos, Nozdormu, and the Queen of Dreams.
  • Odyn struck the passage with Gungnir and pierced Loken's chest as he emerged; Odyn said the blow was for his daughter, Helya.
  • Loken fell into Ulduar's Endless Chasm and died after declaring that he would not accept this future.

Ch. 529The secrets of the Halls of Lightning-the Wall of the Great Dark Beyond, the World Barrier

After Loken’s death, Dick organized the coming assault on Ulduar and discovered that the throne in the Halls of Lightning controlled a hidden Titan system. Its database revealed the World Barrier around Azeroth and showed that the Burning Legion had already reached worlds within its protected region, leaving Dick to recognize that Azeroth’s true frontier lay one million light-years away.

  • Dick watched Odyn kill Loken, then ordered the Guardians and dragons to prepare a sustained assault on Ulduar.
  • Dick dismissed everyone and sat on Loken’s throne, activating the Halls of Lightning system with his High Guardian authentication.
  • The system revealed that Loken had repeatedly tried to access the Azeroth Planet Database without sufficient permissions.
  • Dick learned that the Wall of the Great Dark Beyond protected Azeroth by blocking cosmic-level beings and powerful spatial travel, but remained active despite past attacks.
  • The database showed that the Burning Legion’s invasion worlds and Draenor lay within the Wall’s million-light-year range, and Dick concluded that the Legion had already found ways to breach its protections.
