Dick and the champions defeated Arthas, ending the Scourge and establishing Uther as leader of a new undead force. Dick then rallied the Titan Guardians against Loken, killed him with Odyn’s help, and discovered that the Burning Legion had breached the defenses protecting Azeroth.

• Kael'thas and Rhonin split their forces to confront Dar'Khan and destroy the Forge of Souls, while the Alliance and Horde fought to hold their lines against the Scourge.
• Tirion Fordring, Velen, and the other champions defeated Icecrown’s defenders and confronted Arthas, but Frostmourne let him overpower them until Dick identified the ice peaks as the source of his strength.
• The champions shattered Frostmourne and freed its souls, and Dick showed the dying Arthas the child he had failed to save, and Uther later accepted the Helm of Domination and agreed to lead the undead against the Burning Legion.
• Arthas’s death stopped the Scourge’s assault, and the surviving Alliance and Horde forces celebrated as the undead withdrew toward Icecrown Glacier.
• After the victory, Uther organized Watcher recruitment, Senxia expanded her criminal army for Draenor, and the leaders debated the Ebon Blade, border threats, and peace.
• Dick and Jianxi defeated Biyagri’s Iron soldiers, while Brann and Lorewalker Cho discovered the Tribunal of Ages and restored Ulduar’s external defenses with a Platinum Disc.
• Dick recruited Algalon and the Elements Watchers, then entered the Halls of Lightning, where he and his allies fought through Loken’s forces and killed Loken with Odyn’s Gungnir.
• Dick activated the Halls of Lightning system and learned that the Wall of the Great Dark Beyond protected Azeroth, but the Burning Legion had already found ways to breach it.

Dick led the assault on Ulduar, freed its corrupted Guardians, and reunited the fragments of Val'anyr. He destroyed Yogg-Saron with Ulduar’s power, then woke to find Elune holding Anveena and offering him a reward.

• Dick gathered the allied forces at Ulduar, opened its storm gate with Ra-den’s authority, and led them inside.
• Dick defeated Ignis and freed him from chaos, then gained the Guardians’ clues and restored the awakened sword Order.
• Dick and the Guardians freed Auriaya and Freya, while Dick defeated Mimiron’s machines and restored Mimiron’s senses.
• Dick reunited Val'anyr’s fragments and led the Guardians and Dragon Aspects into the Crimson Halls, where they defeated General Vezax.
• Dick entered Yogg-Saron’s prison and rallied the Guardians, Dragon Aspects, and Odyn against the Old God’s illusions and shield.
• Dick and Anveena formed the Order Angel, and Dick summoned a Spirit Legion that broke Yogg-Saron’s Dark Kingdom.
• Heimdall was hurled into Yogg-Saron’s mouth, but Dick restarted Ulduar’s energy cycle and channeled its power through Val'anyr to destroy the Old God.
• Dick passed out as the Prison Plane collapsed, then woke in a meadow where Elune held Anveena and offered him a reward.

Dick became Azeroth’s bearer of authority after Yogg-Saron’s defeat, then joined Illidan’s campaign against the Burning Legion and helped destroy Mardum. As Dick and Sylvanas headed toward Argus, the story shifted to Gilneas, where Liam joined the Moonrage Worgen and Genn faced Godfrey’s coup as civil war began.

• Elune revealed to Dick that the Holy Light reflected its users’ hopes and desires, and Dick accepted the duty of balancing Azeroth’s opposing forces.
• Dick watched Azeroth’s memories, accepted the Order Angel’s Holy Fire, and became the bearer of Azeroth’s authority after Val'anyr was reforged.
• Dick revealed Azeroth’s unborn Titan to the heroes, then showed the Guardians the Pantheon’s fall and rallied them to seek justice.
• Gamon joined Sylvanas, Vereesa, and Rhonin in their search for Alleria, while Sylvanas found her sister’s bow and escaped Niskara with Dick’s help.
• Sylvanas confessed her love to Dick, while Illidan prepared to use the Keystone to bring the war to the Burning Legion’s worlds.
• Dick and Illidan defeated Katherine, secured the Keystone, and destroyed Mardum after Sylvanas chose to join the Illidari and search for Alleria on Argus.
• Duncan traveled with Gibbs to the Island of Penance as Moonrage and Bloodfang Worgen prepared for war, while Rona helped Liam escape Godfrey’s planned rebellion.
• Liam reached the Moonrage camp and faced Velinde’s test, while Genn fought off Godfrey’s coup and declared that Gilneas would settle its own affairs as war began.

Gilneas faced Bloodfang Worgen and Naga invasions while an ambush on the world's leaders triggered fighting across Azeroth. Dick returned, freed Azshara from N’Zoth’s control, and helped halt the war, but N’Zoth escaped into the Emerald Dream and Liam became king of Gilneas.

• Liam brought Moonrage Worgen reinforcements into Gilneas, while Naga destroyed the relief fleet and invaded the southern coast.
• Ralaar drowned Velinde, but Dick severed their soul connection so Goldrinn could revive her, and Velinde killed Lairal.
• Godfrey persuaded the assembled leaders to evacuate Gilneas’s civilians, but hidden attackers ambushed the conference and fighting spread across Azeroth.
• Anduin secretly enlisted Horde leaders to help rescue the captives, while Dick returned and bound Algalon with Odyn after the Observer initiated Planet Reorigination.
• Varian and the other captive leaders escaped with Tyrande’s key, while Dick freed Azshara from N’Zoth’s control and accepted her continued campaign against Gilneas on condition that she prevented massacres.
• Dick rescued Velen and drove N'Zoth from its dying body into the Emerald Dream, where Elune wounded it before it escaped deeper.
• The Iron Burning Legion and Odyn’s forces halted the fighting, Gavinrad crowned Liam king of Gilneas, and Genn followed Velinde home.
