Yu Sheng drew the Demon Lords away from Army-Breaker and survived by using illusions, spatial rifts, and the protection of a powerful beast from Hundred Desolate Mountain. After the beast entered the Sea of Space, Yu Sheng headed toward Skyvault Ravine as Little Red Dragon and Young White Ape ended their alliance.

• Yu Sheng lured the Demon Lord away while Army-Breaker raced north toward Skyvault Ravine, and Old White Ape rescued Heavenly Dogs before negotiating with Yu Mo to avert a battle.
• Yu Sheng used blood and illusions to evade Mad Lion and Tyrant Tiger, then entered Hundred Desolate Mountain as the pursuing forces closed in.
• The Demon Beasts recognized Yu Sheng’s Jade Pendant, and their Demon Lord learned that its former master had died of old age and that Yu Sheng was her descendant.

Yu Sanshui led Army-Breaker through the Demon Domain after Xin Yongfeng exposed the hidden forces in Skyvault Ravine, while Old White Ape tightened the pursuit. Yu Sheng reached the Eighth Awakening and formed a Laws World as Army-Breaker waited for a way through the blockade.

• Yu Sanshui ordered Army-Breaker to retreat and report the hidden Demon Lords, but Xin Yongfeng arrived and revealed he knew Skyvault Ravine from a year undercover.
• After learning that Yu Sanshui sensed far more Demon Lords than Xin Yongfeng had found, Yu Sanshui convinced him to help Army-Breaker plant a blood-written flag in the ravine.
• Xin Yongfeng hung the flag at night, and Army-Breaker escaped as the Demon Lords searched, and Old White Ape condemned the insult and punished Little Red Dragon and Young White Ape over their mission.
• Old White Ape gave Little Red Dragon a chance to replace Young White Ape, then rallied the Demon Clan and planned a blockade to trap Army-Breaker on its route to Dome Pass.
• Yu Mo confessed to Zhong Yushu that he had used Yu Sheng for the Human Race and feared his power, while Zhong Yushu urged him to trust Yu Sheng and act fairly.
• Yu Sanshui evaded Demon forces and led Army-Breaker deeper into the Demon Domain, while Yu Sheng spotted the blockade and withdrew.
• Old White Ape questioned Little Red Dragon about the deaths on Hundred Desolate Mountain, and Ji Hong later warned Xin Yongfeng to leave before Old White Ape connected him to the flag.

Yu Sheng drew the Human Race into a battle against the Demon Domain and its Demon God, while Old White Ape tried to turn the conflict into his staged final battle. Yu Sanshui, Zhong Yushu, and Confucian Scholar wounded the Red Dragon Demon God and gathered its blood, but Yu Sheng remained behind to face Old White Ape.

• Yu Sheng fought through the Demon Domain’s blockade, and Zhong Yushu led Human Race reinforcements to support him.
• Yu Sheng trapped the pursuing Demon Lords in his worlds while Human fighters drew them away, but the Demon God intervened with lightning against the elders.
• Zhong Yushu and the elders sent their army soul against the Demon God as Yu Sheng retreated, while Old White Ape revealed his plans for a grand staged battle and urged Yu Sheng to fight him.
• Yu Sanshui ambushed the Demon God, and Zhong Yushu and Confucian Scholar joined him to attack its vulnerable spots and force it to retreat.
• Yu Sanshui, Zhong Yushu, and Confucian Scholar fought the wounded Red Dragon Demon God, opening a deep wound and collecting its blood as Old White Ape warned that more Demon Gods were coming.
• The Red Dragon Demon God fled, and Zhong Yushu organized the fighters to carry bloodied rocks toward Demon-Suppressing Pass.
• Zhong Yushu confronted Old White Ape and demanded that he release Yu Sheng, but Yu Sheng told Zhong Yushu to return and said he would handle Old White Ape himself.

Yu Sheng and the Human Race returned from victory as Old White Ape arranged a final battle for three years later. Yu Sheng learned that Old White Ape planned to pit humans and demons against each other, while Yu Mo set new plans in motion and Yu Sheng returned to Jiangcheng.

• Yu Sanshui killed the Red Dragon Demon God and escaped the pursuing Zhu Yan after Sun Yingxiong intervened and Old White Ape asked Zhu Yan to wait three years before attacking.
• Old White Ape led the Demon Beasts back to Skyvault Ravine, while Yu Sheng returned to Deep Mountain and then set out for Demon-Suppressing Pass at Yu Mo’s urging.
• Yu Sheng welcomed Army-Breaker’s 11,026 surviving soldiers back to Demon-Suppressing Pass, and the troops celebrated their victory before returning to the Human Race’s interior.
• Yu Mo and Yu Sheng concluded that Old White Ape wanted the Human Race to misjudge the balance of power, and they suspected he was a Mirage Dragon seeking to destroy both humans and demons.
• Yu Sheng declined to pursue the Human Race’s proposed path to the Ninth Awakening, while Yu Mo told Chu Huai to stop pursuing Soul Hunt and secretly cover Yu Sheng’s work at Ink Pavilion.
• Old White Ape confronted Ji Hong at Skyvault Ravine, revealed his plan to make humans and demons kill each other, and walked away after Ji Hong challenged him to remember who he had been.
