Another letter?
Hadn't he already told me to head over there?
I'm not even there yet, and another letter has arrived?
He vaguely sensed that something was wrong, but gave it little further thought and reached out to take it.
"Perhaps something has changed," Shinobu Kocho said.
Tetsu no Sosuke nodded and drew out the letter. With a flick of his wrist, he unfolded it, revealing the words before him.
His expression changed after reading just the first line.
Everyone had been watching him. Seeing his expression change, they stopped eating and focused on his face.
"I hope this letter finds you well!"
"By the time you read this letter, I will probably be dead."
As those two sentences met his eyes, Tetsu no Sosuke felt as though someone had punched him in the mind.
Who could possibly be well after reading something like this?
His brows knitted tightly. Ubuyashiki Kagaya would never play this sort of joke on him.
He immediately skimmed the rest of the letter.
"First: Miss Tamayo's medicine is nearly complete. However, whether Kibutsuji Muzan can withstand it remains uncertain. You must not rely on the medicine's potency and give Kibutsuji Muzan a chance to catch his breath."
"Second: I have long been powerless against the failings of my own body. Though this body will perish, if I can destroy a substantial part of Kibutsuji Muzan's carefully laid preparations, my wish will be fulfilled. Though I lack the strength to kill demons, I find some comfort in this battle. Do not approach the area around my mansion, lest Kibutsuji Muzan find an opportunity to kill you. Otherwise, everything that follows will come to nothing."
"Third: In this battle, I have used myself as bait to draw
