Kanae thought it over carefully, then said slowly, "She'd probably do it herself."

Tetsu no Sosuke was at a loss for words. "I feel like I've failed a little as her brother-in-law. We've treated each other like equals since the beginning. It's hard to put on a stern face now."
"You make her sound like a little kid." Kanae looked at him helplessly. "She isn't a child you need to coax."

Tetsu no Sosuke yawned. "And a real handful."

Kanae burst out laughing and shook her head. "When our child is born, we can't let them learn from their aunt."
"Definitely." Tetsu no Sosuke nodded at once. "We'd never be able to keep the kid in line."
The two of them kept talking, moving from children to unruly children to just how much damage unruly children could do... and finally to how they should be raised.
Tetsu no Sosuke, after all, had knowledge from another era. He launched into a long, animated explanation that left Kanae stunned.
By the end, Kanae was astonished. "Have you raised a child before? How else would you know so much?"
Tetsu no Sosuke's face darkened. He had probably overdone it.
Fortunately, Kanae had only said it in passing. As sleep overtook them, they gradually drifted off in each other's arms.
