• The Warden and Lu Xiao stayed at the camp as soldiers went mad and Mutated Ocean Creatures surged onto land, forcing Commander Zhang to lead the remaining lucid soldiers into battle.

• A traffic officer and the surrounding crowd stabbed Lu Xiao with a baton, but Lu Xiao recognized the street as an illusion and saw the people as monsters.
• Lu Xiao snapped the branch embedded in his abdomen, bit off and swallowed his hand, then expanded into a massive hill of flesh and fired the Corrupted Revolver until the illusion shattered.

Lu Xiao met Calamity, who asked to merge his authority with the world and become one of its gods. Calamity offered little in return and ended by describing himself as an abandoned, homeless god.

• Calamity told Lu Xiao he had no intention of resolving his madness and wanted to merge his authority with the world.
• Calamity offered to help Lu Xiao kill everyone inside the Gate, but Lu Xiao rejected the offer and invited him to share a meal.
• Lu Xiao gave Calamity his severed arm, then used the act of eating it to make Calamity answer his questions.
