Gary developed his White Walker powers, traveled south from Winterfell, and seized Pentos before hatching dragons with Daenerys and recovering dragon eggs and Valyrian steel knowledge from Valyria. After learning of Eddard's execution and finding Robb dead, Gary avenged Robb, declared himself Luke Stark, and headed north with a possible lead on Arya.
Gary reclaimed Winterfell, built alliances, and fought the Wildlings and White Walkers while strengthening his rule in the North. After the Ironborn threatened the Reach and the Lannisters collapsed into betrayal, Gary’s allies remained divided across the realm as Tyrion sailed north.
Gary forged alliances, marched south, and captured King's Landing after containing Cersei's wildfire. The story left him searching Varys's dream for information as the Crone controlled the High Sparrow and Dorne weighed its loyalty.
