Gary reached Winterfell under the name Luke Snow, where he began uncovering the White Walker power and magic tied to the Crystal. After Arya entered his dream and both became trapped in his consciousness, Gary built a Ming Dynasty world around them and began testing what his dream-made powers could do.
Gary left Winterfell with Arya, survived Wind Spirit’s attack, and reunited with Bingling in her dragon form before reaching King’s Landing. There, he sought the king’s help to send Arya home and entered the tourney, where he advanced by defeating Loras Tyrell.
Gary left King's Landing to search for the Godstone, but his journey drew him into a struggle with House Tyrell and a mission to kill the Targaryen heirs. After discovering the Mother of Dragons and gaining Tysha as a believer, Gary seized Pentos’s dragon eggs and offered Viserys a bargain for Daenerys.
Gary seized Pentos, hatched dragons with Daenerys, and recovered dragon eggs and Valyrian steel knowledge from Valyria. After his followers betrayed him and he learned of Eddard's execution, he returned to Westeros, avenged Robb's death, and headed north with a possible lead on Arya.
Gary returned to Winterfell, defeated the Bolton forces with ice magic and Drogon, and established his rule over the northern lords. As he punished Roose Bolton and proclaimed the Supreme God, Tywin maneuvered to secure a royal marriage through Lynesse while Margaery traveled north.
Gary secured Winterfell, prepared to aid the Night’s Watch, and defeated the Wildling assault with Drogon before Stannis captured Mance Rayder. After returning to Castle Black, Gary found the gate opened to Stannis’s men and fought his way through the Kings Tower to rescue Jon and Grenn.

Gary built alliances and organized the North while confronting threats from the Riverlands and the royal court. The arc left him recovering from an assassination attempt as he prepared Arya, Bran, and Brienne for a journey south.
The Seven attacked Winterfell for the Primal Stone, but Gu Lulu destroyed the Crone and Gary led the survivors south. The arc ended with Gary’s army ambushing Jaime Lannister’s forces at Riverrun.
Gary secured Pyke, brought the Vale and Randyll Tarly into the Northern Alliance, and prepared to infiltrate King's Landing while the Iron Bank and Pentos became new fronts in the struggle. The arc left Gu Li and his companions entering the guarded capital, with the whereabouts of a twenty-thousand-strong Westerlands army still unknown.
Gu Li uncovered and contained Cersei's wildfire, then seized King's Landing with ice wolves and Bingling while searching for Tommen and confronting Varys. The arc ended with Dorne weighing its choices, the Crone taking over the High Sparrow, and Gu Li entering Varys's dream to extract information.
Gu Li defeated the Faith of the Seven’s uprising and the Vale’s betrayal, then began reshaping the kingdom while preparing weapons against new threats. The Tyrells prepared to abandon Highgarden, foreign cavalry appeared near King’s Landing, and Samwell planned his escape from the Citadel.
Gary seized control of Dorne and faced a divine warrior, then learned that the Wall had fallen and the White Walkers were advancing. He gathered forces at Winterfell as the wight army approached and envoys arrived from King's Landing.
Gary became a god, defeated the Seven, and fought R'hllor before being dragged with her into his original world. There, he searched for his family while building a following, as R'hllor's battle with the military escalated.
