As Li Luo had already fallen into a vortex of memories, within the ocean of blocks that constantly collapsed and reassembled, one unusual block remained motionless in place.
It was Mo Ling. He marveled at the world's rapid transformations while worrying about Li Luo's condition.
Li Luo's pupils had completely turned metallic, as if coated with a gleaming metal film. Countless blocks moved within that film, continuously forming all kinds of irregular shapes.
Her hair also rose in the airflow stirred up by the blocks. The expression on her face grew more and more complicated, but amid the constant changes, it became a serenity that only a "sculpture" could possess.
Such suppressed emotion was far from normal. Mo Ling hurried toward Li Luo, but just as he was about to reach her, she suddenly turned her head and looked at him.
Mo Ling froze instantly, because Li Luo's gaze was utterly unfamiliar.
That gaze did not look upon a familiar friend. It looked upon an ordinary "object," as though he too had become one of the countless scattered blocks, no different from any of them.
No emotion remained in those metallic eyes. Her face was calm and distant. Though they still stood upon the same "plane," Li Luo seemed to have become a god high above, gazing down at the world with detached eyes, gazing at every moving block.
Mo Ling immediately knew that something was very wrong with Li Luo.
He hurriedly accelerated the block beneath him again and moved toward her, but Li Luo watched him and calmly uttered another "recitation."
The world changed once more. As countless blocks collapsed and reassembled, when Mo Ling looked at Li Luo again, she was already suspended in the air, seemingly standing atop an as-yet-unformed "mountain range."
She was getting higher
