Bone Crusher?

The imposing title piqued Mo Ling's curiosity.

Following Captain Su, they soon arrived at an entrance before a high wall.

The entrance extended deep underground. As they descended, Mo Ling realized it was an Underground Space resembling an Air-raid Shelter.

It was not the kind of Air-raid Shelter made up of Underground Passages leading everywhere, but the type of underground shelter that could accommodate many people and supplies.

There was a hidden world beneath this high wall!

Mo Ling had thought the Outpost Station would be the same kind of building as the Seventh Monitoring Station. He had not expected such a concealed Combat Facility.

The moment they entered the station, an alarm sounded.

What was happening? Was it because of them?

Someone soon dispelled Mo Ling's doubts. A soldier rushed anxiously up to Captain Su.

"Captain Su, the Beast Tide is here again!"

Captain Su said calmly, "It is becoming more frequent. Deploy as usual."

"Yes!"

Captain Su sent the soldiers behind him back to their respective positions. Only after arranging everything did he turn to Li Luo.

"I need to deal with the abnormal activity of creatures in the area. You can stay here for now."

With that, he prepared to leave.

But Li Luo stopped Captain Su. "Abnormal creature activity? Can we go take a look together?"

Captain Su thought for a moment, then glanced at the Cube behind Li Luo and nodded.

"You can, but make sure to keep yourselves safe and do not interfere with the other soldiers."

Li Luo quickly agreed.

Following Captain Su to the entrance leading through the high wall, they found many soldiers already lined up in formation, fully equipped and ready to depart.

At Captain Su's command, the soldiers split into squads and ran out through the entrance in orderly fashion.

When Li Luo emerged onto the surface through the entrance, she saw combat squads skillfully surrounding and attacking all kinds of aberrant beasts.

Once inside the high wall, Li Luo also took out the Recording Device, preparing to record the creature riot.

Captain Su merely glanced at it and did not stop her.

Through the device, Mo Ling noticed something strange. These rioting creatures were not even of the same species.

Some combat squads were surrounding an Eight-Legged Calf Creature.

The creature looked small, but it was tremendously strong. It sent every soldier who approached flying, and only after its legs were caught by deployed traps was it killed by the squad.

Other soldiers held fishing-rod-like weapons, splashing blue paint onto them before casting the rods out.

The end of the fishing rod suddenly opened into a huge blue net, trapping a Duck-Shaped Creature in midair while the other soldiers seized the chance to attack.

Another creature resembled a carp. It was currently flopping about on the ground, constantly spurting water from its body, though it seemed to have little effect.

None of these bizarre aberrant beasts were of the same species. It was as if a zoo had been left open and every rare bird and strange beast had escaped.

The soldiers were clearly highly experienced in handling such situations. One by one, the rioting creatures were swiftly restrained in place.

The chaotic battlefield was divided into small sections, and the soldiers calmly surrounded and slaughtered the creatures.

Captain Su merely watched from the rear with complete composure, never making a move.

Yet after all the aberrant beasts had been killed, Captain Su continued staring intently at the forest behind them.

Were there more?

Sure enough, before long, a creature that wriggled up and down like an earthworm squeezed out from the woods.

The Earthworm Creature was covered in rings of Spiral Patterns. From the gaps in those patterns grew crimson human arms.

The arms struggled to reach outward, as though people were trapped within the gaps of the Spiral Patterns.

At the sight of the Earthworm Creature, the soldiers all retreated.

But the Earthworm Creature's seemingly cumbersome body suddenly contracted, then shot out like lightning, sweeping rapidly toward several soldiers near the woods.

How could a human possibly outrun a monster? The soldiers who failed to dodge in time were instantly grabbed by the Earthworm Creature's arms.

Before they could even cry for help, countless arms wrapped around them. Like snapped sugar cane, they were squeezed into the gaps of the Spiral Patterns, leaving only two arms exposed outside, flailing and struggling without end.

Even soldiers with the strongest nerves could not help but flee at such a sight.

The Earthworm Creature wriggled again, reaching for the retreating crowd.

But this time, it did not succeed.

The moment Captain Su saw the creature crawl out of the woods, he had charged toward it. By now, he was already standing before the Earthworm Creature.

In a single stride, he reached the creature's side and bent low. A flash of white light passed, and the arms along one side of the earthworm were severed at the roots, leaving only smooth cuts.

Looking again, the weapon Captain Su had used to sever the earthworm's arms was actually a set of claws!

Long Bone Claws extended from the bandages around Captain Su's fingers, and bright red blood stained through the wrappings.

Yet the wounded earthworm showed no reaction. It turned and reached toward Captain Su with the arms on its other side.

Before they could stretch forward, however, Captain Su cut them all off as well.

The Earthworm Creature seemed to realize that its arms could not harm Captain Su.

It began contracting its body again and, like a spring, hurled itself forward at high speed.

Captain Su raised both hands before him. Two sharp Bone Plates suddenly emerged from the fronts of his forearms.

Though the Earthworm Creature sent him stumbling back several steps, the sharp Bone Spurs pierced deep into its body.

But the Earthworm Creature seemed not to feel pain. The arms on its back suddenly reached forward and tightly seized the defenseless Captain Su.

A cage formed by its body and countless arms trapped Captain Su tightly within, leaving him no room even to breathe.

The arms squeezed inward with all their strength, about to crush Captain Su apart and force him into the gaps of the Spiral Patterns.

But at that moment, beads of blood seeped from Captain Su's entire body. Countless Bone Spurs burst through his flesh like a hedgehog's quills, driving deep into the Earthworm Creature's body.

The blood-red arms were pierced apart by the thick, long Bone Spurs, and the earthworm could no longer restrain Captain Su.

His ribs thrust straight outward, pinning the Earthworm Creature in place. Captain Su freed both hands, and the Bone Plates rapidly lengthened into a white Bone Blade half the height of a man.

He slashed viciously downward. Like cutting through a lump of soft mud, the Bone Blade split the Earthworm Creature in two.

The Earthworm Creature crashed heavily to the ground, and the twisted arms that had been clutching Captain Liang slowly loosened as well.

The bones on Captain Su's body slowly withdrew, leaving only holes in his bandages and bloodied wounds in his flesh.

He panted heavily, staring intently at the Earthworm Creature's corpse on the ground.

Just as everyone thought it was over.

The Spiral Patterns on the Earthworm Creature's corpse suddenly expanded by a ring.

Then the Spiral Patterns continued to spread, and the two halves of its body became two identical Earthworm Creatures!

The two revived Earthworm Creatures split to either side and closed in on Captain Su.

Faced with this situation, Captain Su could not think of a countermeasure for the moment. He could only leap backward and continuously evade the Earthworm Creatures' pursuit.
