Mo Ling's identity predates no verified public record. Searches of pre- and post-Abyss databases, Hunter registrations, rescue lists, and monitoring-station logs fail to identify a person matching his name, gender, age, and Abyss-entry history. 1210

He is first documented traveling with Li Luo as a sentient metal Cube. His ability to receive objects inside the Cube and return them elsewhere becomes central to their survival and exploration. 11 34
