Fang Yan inherited his great-aunt’s property and reopened her Pokémon Day Care, building a home with Gengar, the Machamp, and the Pokémon who came to stay. After helping Shauna begin bonding with a Chingling Egg, he accepted another Egg from Ninetales, who left to travel in fulfillment of Fang Moli’s wish.

• Fang Yan arrived in Sinnoh, inherited his great-aunt’s house and land, and discovered that a lonely Gengar was haunting the property.
• Fang Yan befriended Gengar, recruited him to help at the Day Care, and reopened the grounds with help from Xia Lan, Officer Jenny, Nurse Joy, and the Machamp.
• Fang Yan passed the junior Pokémon Breeder exam, received his great-aunt’s cookbook and tool list, and began welcoming Eggs and abandoned Pokémon to the Day Care.
• Fang Yan took in Petilil, Vespiquen, and her Combee, while the Machamp joined him as workers and guards.
• Fang Yan served herbal tea to an elderly couple who had known Fang Moli, then began offering tea and other services to Day Care visitors.
• Fang Yan helped Petilil overcome her fear, and Officer Jenny and Nurse Joy brought Shauna to him for help with her worsening fear of Pokémon.
• Fang Yan helped Shauna grow comfortable holding Petilil and gave her a Chingling Egg to care for, which she accepted before calling him “Uncle.”
• Ninetales revealed that he had watched over the house, entrusted Fang Yan with his Pokémon Egg, and left for the forest to travel as Fang Moli had wished.

Fang Yan’s Day Care welcomed new Pokémon and Cynthia while Shauna grew closer to its residents. When Hunter J set the forest ablaze to draw out Ninetales, Fang Yan fought to protect the Pokémon, but she escaped before the authorities could catch her.

• Fang Yan welcomed Mime Jr. and Shauna’s Chingling into the Day Care, and Shauna began helping deliver herbal tea around Twinleaf Town.
• Cynthia visited the Day Care, stayed with Fang Yan and the Pokémon, then returned to Sinnoh for the League Conference after giving them a key and teaching several new moves.
• Fang Yan welcomed Vulpix and Staravia, while Shauna brought flowers to the Day Care and stayed there when her parents went to visit her sick grandfather.
• After Shauna asked for a flower patch, Fang Yan discovered Pokémon Hunters attacking Vespiquen and setting the forest on fire, so he defeated two attackers and sent Shauna to call Officer Jenny.
• Fang Yan found Hunter J at the forest entrance and learned she had started the fire to flush out Ninetales, then fought her Salamence, Ariados, Drapion, and Pokémon Hunters.
• Marill joined the battle, but Salamence injured it and Hunter J’s attacks left Staravia unable to battle before Officer Jenny and the International Police arrived.
• Hunter J escaped on Salamence after recalling Ariados and Drapion, and warned Fang Yan she would return to capture Gengar.

Fang Yan helped save a forest, welcomed rescued Pokémon into his Day Care, and gave Celebi a fond farewell. As the Day Care grew into a refuge for Pokémon and people, Gary joined Fang Yan and a tournament began taking shape.

• Fang Yan helped Officer Jenny and the firefighters extinguish the forest fire, then promised the forest Pokémon he would help rebuild their home.
• Fang Yan watched the forest Pokémon evolve beneath the moon, and Celebi restored the devastated forest before staying at the Day Care.
• Officer Jenny brought Pokémon Eggs from rescued Pokémon, and Fang Yan later traveled to Professor Rowan’s laboratory to help the frightened Pokémon recover.
• Fang Yan and Shauna comforted the wounded Pokémon with Petilil and Celebi, then held a feast that eased their gloom.
• Fang Yan agreed to take in emotionally wounded Pokémon, welcomed Gothita, and brought the recovering Pokémon back to the Day Care.
• Fang Yan and the others held a farewell feast for Celebi, which blessed the Day Care with abundant growth before leaving through a ring of light.
• Gary Oak visited the Day Care, asked Fang Yan to teach him how to care for Pokémon, and began assessing the residents’ condition.
• Fang Yan helped traumatized Teddiursa choose Grandpa Yongchang as its companion, with the promise that it could return if it was unhappy.
• Fang Yan planned an arena tournament with Gary, accepted Officer Jenny’s forest ranger job, and invited Cynthia to give an exhibition match.

Fang Yan reopened the Pokémon Day Care with the Gengar Cup and a town festival, while Shauna, Gary, and the Pokémon shared in the celebrations and farewells. After meeting Lugia and welcoming recovering Pokémon, Fang Yan expanded the Day Care and arranged improvements to the surrounding road and land.

• Fang Yan sold a Magby Egg to a boy, then finalized the Gengar Cup with Gary and opened the tournament alongside Twinleaf Town’s Day of Pokémon Care.
• Fang Yan and Gary hosted the crowded Gengar Cup, where a Twinleaf Town Trainer won, and Fang Yan welcomed forest Pokémon to the festival before Lilligant evolved during the fireworks.
• Fang Yan battled Paul and helped him understand Staravia’s choice, then Gary left the Day Care after a final battle and Shauna prepared to visit her grandfather.
• Fang Yan gave Xiaoshan an Oddish Egg, visited Teddiursa, made bubble tea, and went fishing with Drake and the Pokémon.
• Fang Yan hooked Lugia, advised it about the Legendary Birds, and later agreed to help stop them after Lugia asked for his assistance and left gifts for the Day Care.
• Fang Yan welcomed Pinsir after it attacked Lilligant, and Pinsir befriended the shy Heracross while Nurse Joy stayed to see the Pokémon recover.
• Fang Yan gathered materials and planned new play areas, then arranged for a crew to build them and proposed road and land improvements to Mayor Qiyi.
• Fang Yan distributed wooden Pokémon carvings after working through the night, and a red glow briefly appeared on his ceiling.
