Background / History

Chu Mo was raised in the Ye Family of Sky Feather City after his mother, Chu Muxue, died protecting him. Before her death, she entrusted him with half of a broken jade pendant marked with a sword pattern and instructed him to seek the Sword Tomb in the back mountain. Ten years later, he was treated as a “cripple,” unable to reach Bone Forging Realm Triple Layer and threatened with demotion to handyman status after the autumn trial. 1

During Ye Hong’s public assault on him, the broken jade reacted to the blood moon and awakened Chu Mo’s Chaos Sword Body. Weapons across the training field answered his presence, while the jade and Broken Sword fragments entered his sea of consciousness. He then entered the Sword Tomb, where he gained the Broken Sword and the inheritance of the Primordial Sword Art. 1

Chu Mo rapidly overturned the Ye Family’s opinion of him during the Autumn Trial. He defeated Ye Family disciples and Blood Demon Sect outer disciple Song Li, exposed Third Elder Ye Minghe’s plan to surrender him to the Blood Demon Sect, and was named Inner Chief Disciple by Ye Lingtian. Song Li’s connection to Chu Muxue’s murder also strengthened Chu Mo’s resolve to uncover his mother’s fate. 2

He left for the Soaring Cloud Sword Sect with Yun Che, where both became Outer Sect Disciples. His victories in the entry trials, including the defeat of a Third-Tier Fire Feather Eagle and a clash with Xiao Yichen’s Sound Sword Domain, drew the attention of the sect’s hostile factions and the Blood Demon Sect. 3

After discovering the connection between the Chaos Sword Body and Yun Che’s Heaven Suppressing Bloodline, Chu Mo began pursuing the Primordial Sword Domain’s keys. He became recognized as the Sword Tomb’s master, rebuilt the Ancient Sword Palace in the Desolate Sword Domain, and gathered key fragments connected to his mother’s memories and the Primordial Chaos Jade Pendant. 5 6 8 12

His journey expanded from avenging Chu Muxue to accepting the burden of the Chaos Sword Master. Together with Yun Che and Su Hanxue, he learned that the intended union of Chaos, Heaven Suppressing, and World Suppressing powers was symbiosis rather than sacrifice. 18 20

Personality

Chu Mo is defined by defiance toward imposed fate. Humiliation, bloodline conspiracies, inherited roles, and attempts to turn him into a vessel repeatedly fail to make him surrender his autonomy. Despite his growing power, he prioritizes his companions over inherited strength. During the Primordial Secret Realm trial, he chooses to save Yun Che instead of taking a sword-art fragment, and later refuses to open a coffin containing a perfect Chaos Sword Body vessel because he intends to forge his own Dao with her. 36 45

He gradually develops from an isolated youth seeking recognition into a leader who unites sword cultivators, Domain Guardians, and later the Rebel Alliance around a Dao of coexistence.
