Aaron recovered the Tidestone, helped Elya lift Nar'thalas's curse, and joined Archaedas in freeing Odyn from Helya. He then returned to Eldre'Thalas, where the Shen'dralar Ancients' lingering fel proved resistant to both the Tidestone and Holy Light, and left seeking another solution.

• Aaron and Vereesa infiltrated Nar'thalas Academy, recovered the Tidestone, and helped Elya lift the curse afflicting the spirits.
• Aaron and Vereesa used the Tidestone to defeat the Wrath of Azshara and escape the Naga, then Aaron met Kel'Thuzad while seeking Odyn in Stormheim.
• Aaron, Archaedas, and Kel'Thuzad told Odyn that the Titans had died and joined him on an expedition to Helheim.
• Aaron and Archaedas fought Helya in Helheim, while Kel'Thuzad reopened the portal and chose to stay behind to study the Shadowlands.
• Aaron and Archaedas restored Volund's teleporter so the Sea Giants could travel to Northrend, then Aaron returned to the Chamber of Heart.
• Vereesa told Aaron that the Shen'dralar Ancients' warlocks were still craving fel despite Mordent's use of the Tidestone, so Aaron went to Eldre'Thalas.

• Aaron decided to seek Illidan's knowledge and returned toward Mount Hyjal with Vereesa, then Zaetar asked him to find out whether Night Elf Druids could help restore his expanding oasis.

Aaron warned the Druids about Xavius, sought Illidan’s advice to help the Shen'dralar, and freed Garona from Gul'dan’s control. After defeating Cho'gall, he helped repair the Scarab Wall, then followed Azuregos to a ransacked lair where a powerful human woman had stolen his journal.

• Aaron warned Cenarius and Fandral Staghelm that Xavius had become the Nightmare Lord, then followed Fandral into the Emerald Dream to find Malfurion confronting Xavius.
• Aaron helped Malfurion drive off Xavius and cleared the Nightmare’s influence from Fandral, then returned to Nordrassil with Vereesa.
• Aaron disguised himself as a Watcher, entered the prison, and asked Illidan how the Shen'dralar could resist Fel’s effects.
• Aaron brought Illidan’s advice to Eldre'Thalas, where the Shen'dralar Ancients created Fel tattoos to ease the warlocks’ symptoms.
• Aaron fought Garona and ogres near Silithus, then helped free Garona from Gul'dan’s control and learned that Twilight's Hammer had breached the Scarab Wall.
• Aaron and the Mechagnomes fought Twilight's Hammer, and Aaron killed Cho'gall after the ogre transformed under Old God influence.
• Aaron repaired the Scarab Wall with Archaedas and sought the Bronze Dragonflight’s help, then Azuregos and Anachronos sealed the breach.
• Aaron followed Azuregos to his lair and found it ransacked, where Azuregos revealed that a powerful human woman had stolen his journal.

Aaron uncovered Xavius’s schemes against the Furbolgs and Quilboar, then helped the Night Elves repel a coalition of Nightmare-controlled forces. He joined Malfurion and the Wild Gods in the Emerald Dream, where Xavius emerged from Shaladrassil after Freya’s flood purified the surrounding corruption.

• Aaron and Vereesa tracked Aegwynn to Azshara, where she revealed that a false Medivh had manipulated her into stealing Azuregos’s diary, and Aaron identified Xavius as the culprit.
• Aaron helped Ysera cleanse Nightmare corruption from the Furbolgs and a World Tree branch, then went with Ursoc and Vereesa to investigate the missing Quilboar.
• Aaron and Vereesa found Rexxar suffering from the Nightmare, healed him, and learned that the Quilboar had headed for the coast.
• At Ratchet, Aaron and Vereesa found the town in flames and learned from Gazlowe that the Quilboar and Naga were attacking, and Aaron then warned Shandris in Astranaar.
• Shandris and Cenarius led the Night Elves against Xavius’s army, retreating through the forest and slowing its advance before making a stand near Nordrassil.
• Aaron fought Agamaggan and Xavius, while Malfurion purified Agamaggan and used the Tear of Elune to cleanse the Nightmare corruption from the Quilboar.
• Aaron joined Malfurion and Cenarius in the Emerald Dream, where they freed Nythendra and traveled to the battle at Shaladrassil.
• Freya used the Tidestone to flood and purify the area around Shaladrassil, but Xavius emerged from the hollow holding a branch covered in Nightmare power.

Aaron defeated Xavius in the Emerald Dream, returned to Quel'Thalas, and celebrated Winter Veil with friends before investigating the Cult of the Damned. He uncovered a plague operation near Caer Darrow and took the Source of the Plague, then flew to rejoin his companions and investigate the Barov lands.

• Xavius used G'Hanir's branch to force Ysera to let him and his Satyrs enter the Emerald Dream, but Aaron and Goldrinn fought him and Aaron beheaded him.
• Aaron discovered that Xavius had survived by merging with Shaladrassil, and Ysera separated his soul from the tree and imprisoned it in a sapling.
• Aaron returned to Covenant City, attended the Blood Knights' ceremony, and welcomed Arthas, Jaina, Muradin, Sylvanas, Vereesa, and others to his Winter Veil celebration.
• Aaron helped Arthas become a Paladin, then learned that the Cult of the Damned had drawn Illucia's family into its plans and might be using Caer Darrow as a base.
• Aaron traveled with Illucia, Vereesa, Salorian, and Uther to investigate the Barov lands, where he found foul wastewater and signs that the Cult was spreading plague.
• Aaron discovered an underground Cult of the Damned laboratory, killed Rage Winterchill, and learned that the cultists were using the Source of the Plague.
• Aaron recruited the acolytes Andrew and Edward, ordered them to study how to stop the artifact, and buried the Source of the Plague before flying to rejoin his companions.
