Jiang Yantian sent his fellow disciples out of the rift while staying behind to protect Su Ruoqing and Luo Biling from a gigantic Devil Creature. After he feigned serious injury and received Qi from Su Ruoqing, they headed for the exit, where Chen Yao was being blamed for endangering everyone.

• Chen Yao was bitten by a Devil Creature, and Jiang Yantian dispelled the barrier after warning him not to bring it inside.
• Jiang Yantian destroyed the attacking Devil Creatures, then sent Chen Yao and the other three fellow disciples to the end of the rift as a gigantic Devil Creature emerged.

Su Ruoqing brought him to meet Jiang Yantian, where Luo Biling spotted him waiting outside her courtyard.

• Chen Yao returned with the Clear Spirit Purple Lingzhi, and Wang Poxu noticed that he had lost an arm.
• Su Ruoqing explained that the Imperishable Devil Emperor had appeared and was staying in the sect.
