Bulma frowned, looking at Jaco before her with suspicion, and asked in confusion, "You're saying an alien came to Earth to rule it? Then he saw you, let you go, and ran away? How is that possible?" Her voice was full of distrust.
Jaco nodded firmly, a hint of urgency in his eyes.
"It's true! You have to hurry and notify your planet's strongest fighters so they can gather to resist. Saiyans are the most brutal race in the universe. They often invade other planets and then sell them."
His voice was low and urgent, and he sounded utterly serious.
Still only half convinced, Bulma turned to Tights beside her, seeking confirmation with her eyes. "Sis, is what Jaco said true?"
Tights nodded, her tone somewhat hesitant. "It is, but I feel like this Saiyan isn't as frightening as the rumors make them out to be." Her brows knitted slightly, as though she were pondering something.
Whatever the case, Bulma decided to act. She walked into the yard, took a Hoi-Poi Capsule from her pocket, and tossed it lightly. The capsule instantly turned into a plane. Turning to her sister and Jaco, she said, "Come with me. We'll go find my friends and discuss what to do."
The three quickly boarded the plane. Bulma settled into the pilot's seat, started the plane, and flew toward Kame House.
Jaco asked curiously, "Bulma, are your friends really that strong?"
Without turning around, Bulma simply answered, "They're pretty much the strongest people on our planet. If even they can't handle it, all we can do is accept our fate."
After speaking, she sighed, unable to stop herself from thinking, It's only been a little over two years since the King Piccolo incident, and now there's another crisis. Our planet really is plagued by one disaster after another. I hope it's not like Jaco said.
Throughout the journey, she was gloomy and weighed down with worry.
Master Roshi took a small sip of tea and sighed. "I see. So Wumu has been out in space all these years."
A trace of complicated emotion showed in his eyes as he thought, I never imagined he'd grow so quickly. When I saw him back then, I knew in my heart that he'd surpass me sooner or later, but I never thought he'd head out into space to make his way.
Ganazi sat opposite him, cradling his teacup in both hands, his gaze calm and focused. After leaving West City yesterday, he had intended to find somewhere else to clear his head. He hadn't expected to spot a small island here with an old man who possessed a power level. He had flown down, hoping to learn about Wumu's homeworld.
He learned that Wumu had once fought the old man before him and received his guidance. Ganazi knew Wumu's character well, so he showed the old man respect. Thus, he sat there obediently, chatting with Master Roshi.
"Where is Wumu now, and what brought him back this time?" Master Roshi asked.
"Lord Wumu said he was visiting an elder who once looked after him," Ganazi replied, then shook his head. "As for what Lord Wumu wants to do, I'm not very sure either."
Ganazi nodded slightly, looking through the window at the waves gently lapping against the shore, as though searching for peace of mind. "Master Roshi, could you tell me more about Lord Wumu? I always feel as though he has some sense of urgency."
The sea breeze through the window brought a hint of coolness. Master Roshi smiled slightly. "Wumu, huh? I only spent time with him once. Back then, all I could see was that he had tremendous potential. I'd never heard of the moves he used, and he was very bright, too. With just a little guidance, he grew rapidly."
"I met him with my Kamehameha, and right then, he created a move that rivaled it. At that moment, I knew this child would surpass me sooner or later." A flicker of admiration crossed Master Roshi's eyes. "But I don't really understand that sense of urgency either. I used to think he was simply pursuing martial arts."
Ganazi listened with rapt attention, unconsciously tightening his grip on his teacup and making the tea sway gently. "Then could his sense of urgency come from feeling some enormous responsibility?" he asked.
"Perhaps." Master Roshi sighed.
The two fell silent for a moment. Ganazi suddenly stood and walked to the window, gazing at the vast sea as though considering something. Turning to Master Roshi, he said, "I think I'm beginning to understand Lord Wumu's choices. He isn't just searching for strength. He's searching for his own path."
Master Roshi nodded slightly. He stood and patted Ganazi on the shoulder. "Young man, everyone's path is different. You'll find your own path too, just as Wumu has."
Ganazi smiled back, a glimmer of resolve in his eyes. "Thank you, sir."
The two sat down again and continued their conversation over tea. Outside, the wind gradually strengthened, carrying a call from afar, as though responding to their conversation, and as though anticipating the future.
As the afternoon sunlight pierced the clouds, slanting beneath the azure sky, a silver-gray plane cut across the horizon and slowly landed on a quiet island.
Bulma operated the plane, deftly turning it back into a Hoi-Poi Capsule and slipping it into her pocket.
Then Master Roshi emerged from the house, a disgusting smile on his face. He approached Bulma with brisk steps, lecherously saying as he walked, "Heh heh heh... Bulma, did you come especially to visit this lonely old man?"
Bulma frowned, holding back her emotions, then suddenly punched Master Roshi in the head, her voice shrill. "You dirty old man!"
This startled both Ganazi and Jaco, who stared at the scene, dumbfounded.
Ganazi thought to himself, This old gentleman... certainly has a sense of humor...
Then Jaco caught sight of Ganazi and suddenly pointed at him nervously, his voice trembling. "S-S... Saiyan!"
Bulma looked over and saw a massive, two-meter-tall man with a somewhat handsome face. Her gaze involuntarily traveled downward. There was a tail.
Hmm! Huh? A tail?
Bulma looked again. "A tail??"
Ganazi lowered his head slightly to look at his own tail, then explained, "We Saiyans are all born with tails."
Bulma and Master Roshi exchanged a glance, their eyes thoughtful.
Then Bulma cut straight to the point. "Did you come to Earth to invade it?"
Jaco muttered quietly from the side, "Asking so directly is a bit too..."
Before he could finish, Ganazi had already begun explaining. "You've misunderstood. The Saiyans are almost extinct. We no longer engage in buying and selling planets." His voice held a trace of helplessness, and faint sorrow showed in his eyes.
At this point, Master Roshi chimed in. "Wumu brought him back."
"Wumu?" Bulma repeated the familiar name, her thoughts flying back to those days five years ago. "Oh, him. This was all a misunderstanding, then. Everything's fine." Her tone relaxed, and a relieved smile appeared on her face.
"Since the misunderstanding is cleared up, stay and chat for a while. I've gone back to being an empty nester lately, and I'm still not quite used to it." With that, he slowly walked into the house.
Bulma pondered for a moment, then followed him. Tights, Jaco, and Ganazi followed close behind into the house.
As he entered, Jaco deliberately kept some distance from Ganazi, silently edging a little closer to Tights.
Inside, the wooden chairs made faint scraping sounds against the floor. Everyone found a seat, and Bulma looked around before asking, "Why aren't Krillin and the others here?" Her voice held a trace of curiosity and disappointment.
Master Roshi smiled slightly, a gleam of recollection passing through his eyes. "At the last World Martial Arts Tournament, I promised to let them go out and gain experience on their own. Tien Shinhan stayed here for a while, then left too, planning to challenge Korin Tower. Launch went with him." His voice was gentle, but it revealed his concern and hopes for his students.
Bulma nodded, then turned to Ganazi and asked about their adventures, which differed from the stories her sister had told.
Afterward, Ganazi recounted his story once again. Only after hearing it did Jaco let down his guard and become less afraid.
