Becoming a Dragon Warrior

Li Qi eagerly anticipated experiencing what it felt like to be a dragon warrior.

However, the white dragon still had not appeared, leaving him somewhat frustrated.

Under the astonished gazes of the many female villagers, Li Qi swiftly put on his signature combat armor.

Its classic red-and-white color scheme gleamed in the sunlight.

The repulsors beneath his feet activated, and with a soft rumble, he slowly rose several meters into the air. Then a miniature missile screamed from his left shoulder, trailing a long plume of flame as it plunged deep into the pool.

Since this divine dragon was so lazy and would not appear on its own, he could only force it out.

Xu Wenwu hurriedly signaled for the female villagers following closely behind him to move farther back. His expression serious, he shouted,

"Everyone, move back! Stay safe!" The villagers obediently retreated in an orderly manner. Though their eyes held curiosity, they all followed his orders strictly.

A dozen or so seconds later, the missile plunged precisely beneath the lake's surface. With a bang, a thunderous explosion seemed to shake the entire lake. Water sprayed everywhere, forming an enormous column. Like a small earthquake, it jolted the white divine dragon sleeping at the bottom of the deep pool awake.

Immediately afterward, the divine dragon let out an earth-shaking roar underwater.

Its silvery-white body wound upward into the air, glittering brilliantly in the sunlight with an imposing presence.

The breathtaking sight of a "flying dragon in the heavens" opened the eyes of the nearby villagers. Their mouths fell open in amazement, and some could not help covering their mouths.

Li Qi finally saw the legendary divine dragon. Its scales glittered brilliantly in the sunlight like countless tiny mirrors.

This was a genuine divine dragon, over twenty meters long, with long, sharp horns on its head that proclaimed its majesty.

After being startled awake, the divine dragon circled twice in the air. Its enormous eyes flashed with anger as it began searching for the culprit behind the explosion.

Li Qi fired his armor's engines and continued climbing until he was level with the divine dragon's head. He opened his faceplate, revealing his handsome Eastern features. His gaze firm and confident, he greeted the divine dragon in an Eastern language,

"Hello, guardian dragon. I'm sorry for waking you this way. Today, let me experience what it feels like to be a dragon warrior!"

However, the divine dragon clearly was not buying it. How could it easily allow someone to ride on its back? This was nothing short of a challenge to its majesty.

The divine dragon roared angrily, its circling body suddenly charging into the armor piloted by Li Qi.

Unfazed, Li Qi skillfully maneuvered his armor through the air, dodging left and right, swooping up and down like an agile bird.

Before facing the evil Soul Beast, he decided to tame this unruly divine dragon first.

The divine dragon swung its claws, whipping up fierce gusts. Li Qi's armor dodged nimbly, firing lasers from time to time.

On the ground, the villagers of Ta Lo Village stared up at the man and dragon circling and battling in the air, all dumbfounded.

After a series of fierce collisions, the divine dragon discovered to its shock that its massive body could not overpower this humanoid weapon in a collision. Moreover, its opponent had already locked his missiles onto it.

After weighing its options, the divine dragon ultimately chose not to suffer an immediate loss. With a reluctant roar, it held its body horizontally in the air.

Seeing this, Li Qi piloted his armor forward like an arrow with a whoosh, landing firmly on the divine dragon's back.

He reached out and firmly gripped its uneven scales, a trace of excitement in his eyes as he directed the divine dragon toward the dragon-scale seal across the lake and river.

Seeing their village chief successfully subdue the guardian dragon, the female villagers erupted into thunderous applause and cheers that rang through the skies. Their admiration and respect for their chief's strength grew, their eyes full of worship.

The sisters Ying Li and Ying Nan's eyes shone with even greater admiration, and their respect for their master deepened. They hugged each other excitedly, proud of Li Qi.

The ten rings on Xu Wenwu's arms fired energy waves downward. Using their recoil, he leaped through the air like a bird, swiftly crossing the lake and following closely behind the leader with agile, vigorous movements.

Under JARVIS's control, half of the other suits of armor stayed behind to protect the villagers, while the other three followed Li Qi straight toward the dragon-scale seal. They flew in neat formation like a well-trained army.

The towering mountains and dragon-scale seal were not far away, and a few minutes later, they reached their destination.

Viewed from above, the dragon-scale seal stood twenty to thirty meters tall, roughly the height of a building over ten stories high.

At that moment, wisps of dark energy streamed continuously from the dark-red seal, swirling around it like thick black mist and giving it an eerie, terrifying air.

Moreover, the temperature here had dropped noticeably. The chill seemed capable of penetrating the armor, and even the temperature sensors in Li Qi's suit sounded an alarm.

After a little thought, Li Qi activated the laser device on the arm of his Iron Man armor to avoid damaging a large area of the dragon-scale seal.

He cut an opening a little taller than a person at the bottom of the dragon-scale seal.

Instantly, Soul Eaters poured out through the opening like a tide, shrieking like a pack of hungry beasts. Li Qi had already landed in front of the opening, and Xu Wenwu and several suits of armor quickly followed, joining him in encircling and exterminating the Soul Eaters.

The Soul Eaters resembled birds, with pointed mouths and sharp claws. Though individually weak, they had the advantage of numbers, forming a powerful evil force when gathered together.

The divine dragon joined the battle as well, swinging its enormous tail like a thick iron pillar.

The two men and the dragon first drove these monsters back inside the seal.

The space beyond the seal was pitch-black, filled with a nauseating stench like malice from hell that made anyone who smelled it want to vomit.

Fortunately, Li Qi's armor had an air filtration system, sparing him the discomfort. Xu Wenwu, however, suffered for it. Without a breathing mask, he could only endure the foul stench and keep fighting, his brows tightly furrowed and his expression somewhat pained.

Li Qi had no time to concern himself with much else. He decisively ordered JARVIS to send the armor charging straight ahead.

The pitch-black space was vast, with Soul Eaters packed densely overhead and all around them. Li Qi activated his armor's night vision, and the scene before him immediately became clear.

In the distance, an enormous black evil dragon-the Soul Beast-thrashed through the air with claws and fangs bared, charging fiercely toward them.

The suits of armor continuously fired lasers and missiles through the air, raining them down on the Soul Beast and Soul Eaters.

Li Qi turned and signaled JARVIS to summon all the remaining suits into the evil space and have them temporarily block the opening he had just cut with his laser.

He decided that he, Xu Wenwu, and these suits of armor would fight the evil creatures to the death within this space, while the villagers waited outside the sealed grounds to prevent any evil creatures from breaking through the seal and escaping.

Not a single evil creature could be allowed to escape, or it would bring a tremendous disaster upon Ta Lo Village.

JARVIS obeyed, and the remaining suits of armor flew into the dark alternate space like lightning.

Frantic with worry, the villagers quickly crossed the river and reached the sealed grounds, pounding and shouting incessantly as they begged their respected village chief to let them inside to fight.

"Village chief, let us in to help!" "We want to fight alongside you!" The villagers' voices were full of urgency and determination.

But Li Qi was fully focused on fighting the evil black dragon, paying no attention to the commotion outside.

His gaze remained fixed on the Soul Beast as his hands skillfully operated the armor, preparing for the next round of attacks.

Taking on the role of a valiant dragon warrior, Li Qi stood firmly on the white dragon's back. Several miniature missiles shot out like meteors, bursting into brilliant showers of sparks across the black dragon's back.

The white dragon seized the opportunity to open its gaping maw and bite savagely into the black dragon's forehead. The two rolled fiercely through the air, crushing an unknown number of flying Soul Eaters to death in a grand, breathtaking battle.

The black dragon roared furiously, trying to break free of the white dragon's bite. Its claws left several deep marks on the white dragon's body, but the white dragon did not retreat, continuing to bite down tightly on it.

In the blink of an eye, the black dragon's body was covered in marks left by exploding bombs and missiles. A deep laser cut across its neck stood out in particular, black blood flowing from the wound and dripping into the dark space.

Seeing that the situation had turned against it, the black dragon could only flee in disarray into the depths of the Dark Dimension. The bodies of Soul Eaters fell from the sky like rain, making this evil space seem even more sinister and terrifying.

Standing on the white dragon's back, Li Qi quickly considered the best way to resolve the problem.

He realized that completely annihilating this space with a nuclear bomb might be the simplest and most effective approach.

The evil forces within this space were too powerful for ordinary attacks to eradicate completely. Only the tremendous power of a nuclear bomb could ensure their total destruction, while also preventing the evil creatures from breaking through the seal again.

As luck would have it, he had specifically brought three low-yield nuclear bombs on this expedition to Ta Lo Village, and now they would come in handy.

Li Qi informed Xu Wenwu through his communications device that he was going to use a nuclear bomb and told him to withdraw from this dark space immediately.

"Xu Wenwu, I'm going to settle this with a nuclear bomb. Evacuate immediately!" Xu Wenwu obeyed his master's command without hesitation and began withdrawing swiftly. As he flew backward, he replied, "Understood, master!"

JARVIS controlled the remaining suits of armor, cutting another opening in the sealed grounds. Li Qi left one puppet suit behind to cover their retreat and placed two small nuclear bombs on it.

When an opening was cut in the seal again, the female villagers outside were eager to rush in, but Xu Wenwu stopped them in time.

He explained the situation to the villagers and told everyone to evacuate the mountainous area quickly.

"Everyone, listen to me! The village chief is going to use nuclear bombs to destroy the evil creatures. It's dangerous here. Leave at once!"

Though somewhat reluctant, the villagers still followed Xu Wenwu's instructions and began evacuating in an orderly manner.

Li Qi led everyone in a swift retreat to the other side of the river. Under JARVIS's control, the suit left behind went as far into the dark space as possible to direct the force of the nuclear explosions deeper inside.

Finally, once they were far enough away, JARVIS decisively detonated the small nuclear bombs.

A tremendous boom seemed to shake heaven and earth, and a thunderous roar spread from the depths of the space.

The mountain peak before them collapsed instantly, and the dragon-scale seal crumbled completely. Under the nuclear explosions, the passage into that otherworldly space became an irradiated zone.

Fortunately, the radiation was confined to the other world and had no connection to the mysterious space containing Ta Lo Village. The passage between the two worlds had also been successfully closed for the time being.

Mission accomplished! Li Qi informed the villagers of the battle's outcome. At the news, the female villagers cheered and leaped for joy, brimming with excitement. The mission they had upheld for ten thousand years had not failed in their hands, and their love for their village chief, Li Qi, deepened further.

"Long live the village chief!" "Thank you, village chief!" Cheers rose one after another as the villagers gathered around Li Qi, gazing at him with gratitude and admiration.
