The god-slaying daughter sword
Li Qi looked at the worried young Princess Diana, whose exquisite face seemed shrouded in gloom, then glanced at General Antiope's furious face. Her eyes seemed capable of spitting fire.
The two headed to the council hall one after the other for a meeting. He shrugged indifferently, the corners of his mouth lifting slightly, and thought to himself, At least I'm close to Diana now. Both mother and daughter are under my control.
At this point, he was no longer in such a hurry. The female guards on either side continued diligently escorting this outsider, their steps uniform, like well-trained mechanical soldiers, as they took Li Qi toward the hot spring palace designated by the young princess Diana.
It was a magnificent palace, like a dazzling pearl set among rolling mountains and winding springs. The golden, circular palace glittered luxuriously in the sunlight, displaying its grandeur and majesty.
Under the guidance of the guard squad leader, Li Qi entered this hot spring retreat reserved for senior leaders and decorated female warriors.
Inside, warm spring water burbled through countless twists and turns, giving off a crystalline blue glow like strings of glittering gemstone necklaces. The farther they went, the higher the temperature rose and the more sweltering the air became, as though an invisible wave of heat were washing over them.
The squad leader stepped forward with measured strides and spoke to Li Qi mechanically, her face expressionless.
"Guest, the temperature gets higher farther inside. The warm underground spring water there flows out of volcanic rock, and its temperature only gradually drops after passing through all these twists and turns. This spring water is rich in nutrients and very beneficial for healing and relaxation. It is an entirely natural hot spring sanctuary."
Once inside, Li Qi was quite satisfied with the surroundings. After all, they were entirely natural rather than artificially created. Without further hesitation, he slowly removed his clothes, found a spot with a suitable temperature among the winding hot springs, gently stepped into the burbling stream, and slowly sat down.
The comfortable water temperature and abundant minerals left Li Qi feeling content to his core. He closed his eyes slightly, relaxed his body, and leaned lazily against a nearby rock, enjoying this rare moment of leisure as he began considering his next move.
His purpose in coming to Paradise Island was clear. It had now become conquering the island's young princess and queen, and eliminating the hidden threat of Ares.
As for Ares's abilities, he could not make a concrete estimate before actually meeting this son of a god, this Olympian god.
Still, Li Qi had his own confidence and assurance. The small nuclear bombs carried by his mechs gave him a thorough sense of security. He muttered, "Hmph. I refuse to believe a god from Olympia can withstand a nuclear strike."
In the movie Wonder Woman he had watched in his previous life, the arrogant god of war Ares had ultimately been defeated by Diana after she awakened the power of her bloodline. So, could Zeus's lightning be more powerful than a nuclear bomb?
At this point, Li Qi had no definite answer. He intended to wait and see when Ares actually appeared. After making a few calculations in his mind, Li Qi gradually drifted off to sleep beneath the gentle caress of the water. His body really was rather tired.
But although he was sleeping, his security forces had not let down their guard. Above this hot spring sanctuary, two mechs hovered in midair like a pair of loyal sentries, constantly keeping a close watch over Li Qi according to the artificial intelligence JARVIS's instructions.
Time slipped quietly by. In the council hall, the atmosphere was so heavy it seemed water could be wrung from it. After the initial turmoil and heated arguments involving the queen of Paradise Island and Princess Diana, all the council members, mother and daughter, and General Antiope finally reached a unanimous decision.
They had to defend Paradise Island with all their strength and resist the impending invasion by Ares. This was the ancient mission the Amazon Tribe of Paradise Island had upheld throughout its seven thousand years of existence.
Through a public interrogation before the council, using the Lasso of Truth on the surviving War God Security Company personnel on the beach, they confirmed that the War God Security Company had indeed been indirectly created and controlled by Ares.
Everything aligned with its historical origins-after Ares broke with his father, the sky god Zeus, he slaughtered well over half the gods and demigods on Mount Olympia like a crazed beast. He then left Mount Olympia and remained in the mortal world, coveting the humans who enraged him and continually developing evil forces while hiding among them.
Now, he had finally found Paradise Island's location, so this war between gods had inevitably continued into the present.
With their objective decided, the queen solemnly issued orders to mobilize everyone on Paradise Island, conduct defensive drills, and arrange battle formations, waiting for Ares, the traitor who had betrayed Mount Olympia, to walk into their trap.
After the meeting, mother and daughter left that suffocating place through the council hall's back door. They stood in an elevated covered pavilion, looking down at the war "machine" already set in motion beneath them.
Thousands upon thousands of female warriors sprang into action. An ancient military force had awakened, and the air was filled with tension and solemnity.
Yet Queen Hippolyta still felt a faint unease. She had witnessed Ares's power herself.
During the battle of the Olympian gods seven thousand years ago, as Zeus's lover, she could only watch that divine battle in the sky from afar. In his incomparably frenzied fighting state, Ares had slaughtered well over half the Olympian gods and demigods like a torrent of destruction, dealing the young Hippolyta an unparalleled psychological blow.
Thus, for these seven thousand years, Paradise Island had remained hidden and closed off, never sending a single Amazon or a single Amazon war band out to try to find the evil Ares concealed in the mortal world.
Seeing the melancholy on her mother's face, Princess Diana, who had experienced the earlier battle on the beach, gradually came to understand the responsibility she bore as an Amazon princess.
She gently took her mother's arm and said softly, "Mother, don't worry too much. As the strongest weapon Zeus left in the mortal world, our Amazon Tribe has the Godkiller Sword resting quietly in our treasury. As long as we bring it out, surely that evil god of war will immediately be reduced to ashes."
Hippolyta sighed, her eyes filled with worry. "Diana, I'm afraid it isn't that simple."
Looking puzzled, Diana pressed, "Mother, why would you say that? It's the Godkiller Sword!"
Hippolyta hesitated, then said after a moment of silence, "There are some things you'll understand later."
Zeus had left behind a Godkiller Sword capable of slaying gods, and it had stood quietly embedded in the treasury for thousands of years. Ever since childhood, Princess Diana had wanted to wield this divine artifact.
Now, with a great enemy before them, she finally had an opportunity to wield this god-slaying sword, so she once again urged her mother to bring out the Godkiller Sword to deal with that evil scoundrel.
"Mother, this is our best chance to fight Ares. Please agree," Diana said urgently.
Queen Hippolyta naturally knew this divine artifact very well. This supposed Godkiller Sword was not the ultimate divine artifact her lover Zeus had left behind.
The true ultimate divine weapon capable of slaying gods was the daughter beside her, whom she had protected for thousands of years.
In the end, Hippolyta could not withstand her daughter's repeated pleas. Mother and daughter headed toward the treasury with their guards following behind.
