Ben's eyes widened. "Child? Why do you... look exactly the same?!"
"What's going on?" Franklin raised his head alertly, his eyes bright, "Who are you? Are you kidding us?"
"Don't worry, Franklin." Mayday stepped forward, "This is not a scam, let him explain."
Peter sighed, "I used to - no, in my world, I was the first generation Spider-Man. I didn't want to tell you who I am, because I probably don't want to in this world. But now that Ben has recognized it." He smiled, "I'm sorry for lying to you, little Franklin, I really didn't mean any harm."
Franklin, still squinting, turned to Ben: "Do you know him, Uncle Ben?"
Ben nodded. "Yes, he is the first-generation spider head. But I am not used to not wearing a uniform."
Peter shrugged. "The uniform was in pieces. Besides, what idiot would wear tights as a battle uniform?" He glanced at Franklin's uniform and sighed, "Pretend I didn't say that."
"What happened?" Another familiar voice came. A blond man walked in, followed by a woman with green skin and lines on her chin. His eyes fell on Peter and stopped. "That...Peter?"
Peter grinned. "Hey, Johnny! Long time no see! Look at you, you are forty years old, why are you still acting like a fool? Shouldn't time make you wiser?"
Johnny blinked, looked at Franklin, and then back at Peter. He sighed and rubbed his nose, "Time travel or parallel dimension?"
Peter smiled, "Parallel dimension. But I should be the Web-Head you know. Pretty much."
Johnny sighed, "When I'm with you, I never stop for a day."
Mayday looked at the two of them. "You two are too calm."
"I'm used to it." They both said in unison.
Franklin fell back to the ground and stood next to Mayday: "Our family is really weird."
Peter looked at Johnny, and saw the green-skinned woman over his shoulder. She was wearing a purple version of the Fantastic Five uniform. Peter blinked. "Hey, Johnny, I don't want to scare you, but there is a green-haired monster standing behind you, still wearing your team uniform."
Johnny was angry. "Peter, that's my wife!"
Peter was startled, looked at her, and then at Johnny: "She is so beautiful, it's a pity that she deserves you."
The woman laughed out loud, "I kind of like him."
"Peter, this is Lyja, Skrulls." Johnny introduced, and the two shook hands.
"What? Skrulls? Is it some kind of Mutants?" Peter pretended not to understand.
Johnny was stunned. "Don't you know Skrulls? They haven't invaded your earth yet?"
"Not yet... should I worry?" Peter aimed at Lyja.
"No, no... I think we should talk to Reed." Johnny said and turned around, "He will find a way."
Peter nodded and everyone followed. Peter asked as he walked, "So... you just didn't grow a big beard, right?"
Lyja smiled evilly, "He tried. I persuaded him to quit."
"Oh, I need to hear this."
They walked into Reed's laboratory. It was surprisingly similar to the version of Peter. There were all kinds of equipment that Peter couldn't understand at all. But Reed was always several steps ahead.
"Johnny, Franklin, Ben, Lyja, what kind of wind brought you here." A mechanical voice sounded. A gray-white robot about waist height floated down from above, like the legendary alien villain.
Peter blinked. "Reed?"
The machine turned to him. The face was expressionless, but the surprise could be heard in the tone. "Peter? Is that you?"
"Parallel dimension." Johnny explained in one sentence, "Can you help him?"
Reed looked at Peter: "I'll try. Please sit down." He motioned Peter to sit on the table.
Peter carefully sat on it, put the helmet aside, and let Reed scan himself with various buzzing instruments.
"So... you have become a robot?" Peter asked.
Reed nodded. "Yes. My body is dead. But my brain is preserved and placed in this mechanical body."
"Then... can Susan accept it?"
Reed paused for a moment before continuing, "Susan gave his life to save me."
Peter was really surprised. He didn't know this history. "What?"
"An... accident." Johnny explained, "She saved us all."
"That woman wants to be a hero." Ben's voice also deepened.
Peter blinked. "Damn... I have to talk to my Susan when I get back, stop being a hero."
Reed looked at him. "There is also Susan·Storm in your world?"
Peter nodded. "Yes. There are also Reed·Richards, Ben·Gerry mu, Johnny·Stone. And the Reed in my world is the direct reason why I came here. That idiot built an inter-dimensional teleporter, but the firewall was so weak that Doctor Doom hacked in in ten seconds."
"I understand. I apologize for his behavior." Reed said in a cold tone.
"Forget it, I have long understood that when dealing with Reed·Richards, you have to learn to forgive and forget. Life will be easier." Peter sighed.
Reed nodded and turned to Spider-Girl: "Then what is your relationship with Peter?"
Mayday couldn't help but blink. "Oh, I came to his world first when I was chasing Spiral. Remember? He was the one who helped me come back."
"I understand." Reed responded, glanced at Peter, and returned to the terminal to start typing.
Peter turned to Franklin: "You inherited her hair color."
Franklin smiled, "Thank you."
Peter took out his cell phone and took a picture of everyone. "When I show this to Susan over there, she will definitely go crazy. I can imagine her spending five minutes talking about how cute her son is, and then spending ten minutes complaining about how unfair it is - how her son's hair looks better than hers."
"Heh, your Susan also sounds like you have a bad temper." Ben laughed.
Peter shrugged. "This is absolutely true."
"Wait, that's a mobile phone?!" Johnny grabbed Peter's smartphone.
"Hey! Be careful!"
"This is too high-tech." Johnny looked over it over and over, "The touch screen, camera, and... are much more advanced than all the mobile phones on the market."
"Because the timelines on both sides are not synchronized." Peter took the phone back and said, "My world is 2012, but this is only 2008. Certain technologies naturally move faster."
"Peter," Reed suddenly said, "Do you know that your cells are being exposed to near-fatal levels of radiation?"
"What?!" Mayday lost his voice.
Reed pushed over a monitor, on which were the test results. A line of bold characters in the middle:
Blood toxicity level: 89%
Peter sighed, "I know." Mutant Spider Project is slowly killing him. The reason why he is still alive now is because Logan's mutated gene allows the body to repair radiation damage. Although it is not immediately fatal, the danger is right in front of him.
"Why aren't you dead yet?!" Franklin called out.
Peter shrugged. "My body is dissolving the radiation, it will be fine."
"According to my calculations, it will take ten months for your body to fully recover." Reed added, "But I don't understand the reason. Your strength is too different from your version of this world."
"Because I am not your version." Peter said, "My blood has... special properties. As long as I come into contact with other people's blood that has been treated with radiation aerosol, I can obtain certain variations of the other person's abilities. It's like a lottery, incomplete, and unstable. This is not an exact science."
"Any ability?" Franklin was curious.
Peter shrugged. "As far as I know, yes. But it is not copied exactly, and there is no pattern."
"I have good news and bad news." Reed's mechanical voice interrupted.
"Good news?" Peter asked.
"You passed through a time-limited field. Your version of Reed obviously knew what it was doing. Anyone who passes through that portal will automatically return to the original world, and nothing can stop it."
"That's great!" Mayday shouted, "You can go back directly!"
"Where's the bad news?" Peter asked cautiously.
"I'm not sure how long you can stay here. It could be a day, it could be a year."
"What?!"
