"Fire!" Johnny shouted, and a fireball hit it. The tiger-shaped monster screamed and flew backwards. Peter just wanted to stand up, then raised his hand and shot a stream of bioelectricity at it, which was enough to stun a bull.
"You... how did you obtain Experiment D's ability?" Richard asked in surprise.
"Absolutely." Peter nodded, "What is that thing?"
"One of Wyndham's side projects. A human-animal hybrid, with strength comparable to Captain America, but very stupid, infinitely stupid."
"Uh, guys, we have company." Johnny shouted. Peter turned his head and saw more beastly hybrids pouring into the laboratory, all with their legs standing upright. There were some that looked like wild boars, some that looked like horses, and one that looked like a Chihuahua - the last one obviously made his hair stand on end the most.
"Okay, then," Peter charged Repulsor Cannon, "Let's do some damage."
Peter and Johnny crushed the animals like tearing paper. Johnny used fire to make them crawl away, while Peter used shock waves and fists to break their bones. He tied them all up with concrete Silk, forcing them to squeeze into the pile of meat and unable to move.
He turned to Richard·Parker and gave a thumbs up. "I told you, we can do it. Let's go! There is still work to do!"
Richard nodded numbly, and everyone ran out of the laboratory and ran along the corridor. Richard led the way, and he seemed to be very familiar with the base. When passing the security room, Peter stopped and quickly broke the door with the decoder.
They rushed in, and the two guards raised their guns and wanted to shoot. Johnny Two flames melted their gun barrels, and Peter kicked them unconscious with a whip kick.
Peter walked to the terminal and began to track the locations of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Captain America. Soon, he found that everyone was in the host library he had just cleared, fighting against Sandman. Their situation is not good and they are defeated miserably! Captain America uses the surrounding environment to barely survive, breaking pipes to try to slow down the monster's movement, while Wolverine is being thrown around like a toy.
"Johnny, you have to go over and help them, only you can deal with that brute force!" Peter turned around and shouted.
"Okay!" Johnny lit the fire and flew away.
Peter is also preparing to leave. "You stay here, I will be back soon."
"Where are you going?" Richard asked.
"To deal with Sandman, I will stop him." Peter replied, actually having no clue. Maybe Captain America was right, water might work.
"No! You will be killed!"
"Relax, Dad, I'll be fine." Peter said, "I've dealt with him before."
"But this time it's different!" Richard pointed at Sandman's body in the screen, "He's out of control! Wyndham gave him complete freedom, and he is a pure monster now! Peter, if you make one wrong move, you will be dead!"
"Then what suggestions do you have?" Peter asked.
Richard's face was full of fear, but he quickly calmed down. He thought for a while, then nodded. "Yes, I really have an idea."
Peter was stunned, but still followed him and ran back to the laboratory. Fortunately, those beastly hybrids were still trapped by Silk. They came to his workbench, Richard took out a metal box, opened it, and found two gloves inside.
"I originally made them for Wyndham, in case this thing goes out of control. They can produce a vibration frequency that changes the body structure of Sandman, causing him to shatter like glass."
Peter picked up the gloves. They were not big enough to fit over his original gloves. He cursed secretly and had to make a decision. He quickly took off his gauntlets and put on the pair of Richard, and a surge of energy buzzed.
This feels familiar...Shocker, has he used similar gloves? Well, I'll have to check back later.
He turned to Richard: "I'll be back soon." He threw his gauntlet to him, "Keep it safe for me!"
Without waiting for an answer, Peter rushed to the main hangar. He saw that Captain America was about to be smashed into a ball of red, white and blue meat. "Captain!" he shouted, pushing his arms forward, activating his gloves, and shooting out a vibration wave. The force was enough to shake the deep structure of Sandman into powder.
"What?! No!" Sandman stared at his hand and began to turn into quicksand and float away. He concentrated his willpower and tried to call the sand back, but failed. "How did you do that?!"
"It's too complicated for someone like you, sandhead." Peter shouted. Johnny flew back, grabbed Captain America, put him next to Peter, then flew around in a circle, roasting the monster with flames.
"Thank you, Spider." Captain America spat out the gravel in his mouth, "Do you have a way to completely eliminate him?"
"I think it's okay." Peter raised his hands to signal.
"Then do it!"
With a thought, Peter rushed forward, jumping around Sandman, constantly shooting out vibration waves. He immobilized more and more sand, shrinking its size sharply. Then, Johnny swooped down, and directly burned the remaining body of Sandman into glass with a high temperature enough to melt steel.
The two gasped and backed away, watching as the human-shaped glass structure crashed into the center of the field, surrounded by piles of frozen sand.
"This... I'm exhausted!" Johnny shouted.
"Who says it's not?" Peter sighed. He glanced into the sand and stretched out a hand, with three shining metal claws attached to the back of the hand.
He walked over and pulled Logan out of the sand. Logan gasped for air and spit out enough sand to build a castle. "I hate sand."
"Son!" Richard rushed into the hangar, holding Peter's gloves in his arms.
"Son?" Captain America asked in surprise.
"Yeah, today is like a big party for dads who jumped out of the grave." Peter sighed. Richard walked closer and looked at Sandman, which had become a glass sculpture.
"You did it..." Richard gasped, eyes filled with awe.
"Hey, we helped too." Johnny grinned.
"Thank you for the gloves, Dad, they are amazing." Peter took off his gloves and gave them to Richard, replacing them with his own.
Richard turned around and saw clearly who was standing next to him. He suddenly took a breath. "You--you are Captain America."
"That's right, sir." Steve stretched out his hand.
"I... I have been following your work since I was a child!" Richard held his hand excitedly, "My whole life's career is built on you."
Steve smiled, "Peter told me what you did. It takes great courage to stand up against evil, especially the way you did."
"I... I didn't do anything, I just ran away, and then... Oh my god!" He turned to Peter, his eyes full of realization, "You hit an alien?!"
Peter blinked and looked around. "Are you talking to me?"
"Yes! You fight aliens! You are still Avengers!--Do Mei and Ben know this?!"
"No!" Peter shouted, "You must not tell them! They will go crazy!"
"What about me? I'm your father!"
Peter shrugged. "Let's just treat it as a father-son bond. After all, if a family fights evil villains side by side, they will grow closer as they fight."
"I think I'm about to have a heart attack." Richard put his hand on his forehead.
"Hmph, it seems that his virtue is hereditary." Johnny muttered in a low voice.
"Spider!" A familiar voice sounded. Peter turned around and saw Felicia running out of a tunnel, followed by her father, Natasha, and - Uncle Ben and Aunt May.
"Black Cat!" Peter shouted with arms spread out.
"This is not the time for intimacy, honey!" Felicia shouted. Peter looked over her shoulder and saw a group of beastly hybrids chasing after her.
"Leave it to me!" Peter flew over them, and Repulsor Cannon aimed at those Beast, blasting them back into the tunnel. He continued to fire, hitting them back again and again, until finally they all fell unconscious.
"Ben?" Richard said in a daze.
"Oh, my God..." A small voice came out. Aunt May fainted and fell to the ground. Walter immediately supported her, while Ben looked like he was trying his best not to faint himself.
"How...?" Ben asked in a trembling voice.
"It's a long story." Richard sighed.
"We don't have time to talk now." Natasha grabbed Ben's arm, "Follow us and let others handle it."
"But I--" Richard looked at Peter.
"It's okay, Dr. Parker, we can handle it." Peter gave a thumbs up. Natasha, Walter, Richard holding Aunt May, Ben and Felicia ran towards the exit. Richard finally gave Peter an apologetic glance, and Peter just waved at him, indicating to leave quickly.
At this time, Cyclops and Qin walked in. "We have sent everyone out, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. took over." Qin announced through telepathy.
"Received." Captain America nodded, "Professor, can you lock Wyndham's position?"
"I've been trying for the past half hour, Captain. I think he is on the third floor underground." Xavier responded. Peter then remembered that he hadn't seen the professor for a long time. It seemed that he stayed outside.
"Okay, everyone heard me, take action!" Captain America ordered, and he, Logan, Johnny, Scott, Qin, and Peter ran towards the corridor leading to the stairs.
The rest of the people ran down the stairs. Peter jumped directly over the handrail and fell freely three floors. When he was approaching the door, he shot out a Silk. He swung and kicked the door hard with his feet. He landed with a bang, hit the ground with one knee, and looked up. "Wow."
Others rushed in immediately, and they were also shocked on the spot. This room was a huge corridor, lined with ten-foot-high culture tanks, filled with blue liquid. The surface of the tank was covered with frost, and the inside could not be seen clearly.
Johnny lit a bunch of flames, approached a jar, cleared away the ice layer, and a twisted face underneath stood out.
"What the fuck?!" Johnny jumped back in shock. Peter squinted his eyes and deeply engraved this face into his memory: Wyndham... you bastard.
It was the face of a child of about twelve years old, with blond hair and blue eyes. There were no lips, the face was swollen and sunken inward, and the forehead was disproportionately protruding. It looked horrible. Peter secretly prayed that this child had never lived in the first place - no one should bear such a life.
"Don't be too sympathetic." Wyndham's voice came from the loudspeaker. Everyone searched around, but they couldn't find him. He must be monitoring through the camera. "They don't feel pain."
"You... you perverted bastard!" Johnny roared, "You crazy bastard!"
"Pay attention to your wording, Mr. Storm." Wyndham said with a sinister smile, "You were born in a scientific family, don't you understand the necessity of sacrifice?"
"He... they are dreaming." Qin closed her eyes, "He is brainwashing them, trying to make them loyal to him... loyal to Hydra."
"Wyndham, what on earth are these?!" Steve roared. Peter looked around, Wyndham must be here, there is no other hiding place, no door, nothing.
"Clones, my dear captain. I can even say that they are your children." came the evil voice.
"What?" Captain America's voice suddenly dropped several tones, and even Peter could feel the rage in his words.
"These are the results of my initial attempts to replicate the serum, clones, simple and pure. But you see, they have flaws. Your DNA is too difficult to replicate with the few tissue samples we have on hand."
"Impossible, I never provided any samples!" Steve retorted, and at the same time gestured to everyone to disperse the search. Peter jumped up to the ceiling and blended into the dim roof.
"Qin, scan his location, he must be nearby." Captain America ordered in his mind.
"Yes, captain, I'll do it." Qin closed her eyes, with Scott and Johnny guarding her on both sides.
"Indeed, you have never given any samples, Captain Rogers... but Peggy·Carter has." Hearing this, Peter's heart sank. His tone was almost proud.
Steve eyes widened. "What did you say?"
"You don't know, right? She was pregnant at the time? She had your child? A... child who encountered a tragic accident." Wyndham laughed loudly.
Peter's mind buzzed: This is wrong... This is not the plot in Marvel Cinematic Universe! Could it be... that I changed something?
"No." Logan growled, clenching his fists and shaking with rage.
"What did you do, Wyndham?!" Steve shouted hoarsely. Peter moved quickly on the ceiling, he had to find this guy!
"He's such a beautiful boy, Captain," the demon continued, "He has your eyes... and her hair."
"There!" Qin suddenly pointed to a wall in the distance.
Everyone launched a charge at the same time. However, at this moment, all the culture tanks began to vibrate violently. The next second, the clones inside broke out of the tanks, naked like newborn babies, but each one was deformed and grotesque.
Some have disappeared skin, some are missing arms and legs, some are rickets, and one of them is even deformed like a mutant Toad.
"Hiss!" They screamed in unison, Peter heard the sound of many vocal cords breaking due to being unable to bear it. They rushed towards everyone.
Peter jumped down, grabbed one with each hand, and threw it at the other group, overwhelming them all. He took a step back and nailed them to the ground with Silk: "Okay, this should--"
Boom!
"--Fuck." Peter spat out one word and retreated quickly. A three-fingered claw brushed against his cheek. Although they were very strong, they were extremely clumsy.
"These things are so abstract, I'm getting goosebumps!" Johnny shouted, spraying fireballs at a clone, but the monster didn't seem to care, and instead threw Johnny to the ground. "Ah! Get it away! Get it away quickly!"
"I'm coming!" Qin Nian forcefully grabbed the clone and threw it back against the wall. Johnny's eyes were filled with panic. Scott stood in front of him and used a powerful beam to blast a Legion clone back.
"Leave this to us, you go find Wyndham!" Logan shouted at Steve, wiping a claw on the neck of a clone, and blood spattered.
"We collected everything we could from your son." Wyndham continued to talk on the radio. He intended to anger Steve. Looking at the expression on Captain America's face, he almost succeeded.
"Shut up!" Steve roared, threw his shield, smashed a speaker, and then rushed towards the wall pointed by Qin.
At this moment, an elevator door opened, and dozens of beastly hybrids poured out, quickly forming a siege and cooperating with the clones to push everyone back. Peter had to jump up to dodge the charge of a Rhino horn.
