Personality

Li Xin initially presents herself as flirtatious, provocative, and unconcerned with others' judgment. She openly describes exchanging her body for things she wants, teases Zheng Yi over LJ's ability to evade the police, and even attempts to charm God during role assignment. Although she believes LJ caused her death, she expresses fascination rather than resentment toward him 3.

Her false Seer claim is motivated by fear of death rather than loyalty to the good faction. Once exposed, her confident manner collapses: she trembles, scratches her hair into disarray, bites her fingertips bloody, and eventually cries for someone to save her. She later admits that she lied to keep herself alive 10 11 15 16.

After Lin Jie prevents her execution, she becomes willing to follow his leadership. By the final vote, her gratitude outweighs her earlier self-interest, and she risks her life by voting against God 18 21.

History

Death and Entry into the Werewolf Game

Li Xin dies in an explosion at Zhou Lan's villa, where she says she had just finished “working.” During the players' introductions, she identifies herself as Player 2, declines to name her occupation directly, and expresses a desire to meet the phantom thief LJ, whom she believes responsible for the explosion 3.

God's game makes elimination fatal: players killed at night or executed during the day will have their souls scattered 3.

False Seer Claim

On the first day, Li Xin claims to be the Seer and announces that Chen Li is good. She explains that she investigated him because he had requested a Werewolf role during introductions. Chen Li initially accepts her claim and encourages the Guard to protect her 9.

Lin Jie exposes a contradiction in her account. Li Xin says she pointed at Chen Li during the inspection, but the Seer must signal a player's number. She cannot identify Chen Li as Player 4 without counting the seats, and God confirms that pointing would not have produced an inspection result 9 10.

The group consequently mistakes her for a Werewolf. Zhu Lun then falsely claims to be the real Seer and accuses her and Lin Jie of staging the exposure together. After Zhu Lun's own account is disproved, Li Xin continues insisting that she is the Seer rather than accepting Lin Jie's offer to identify a supposed third wolf 10 12 13.

Zheng Yi calls for Zhu Lun's execution and instructs the Witch to poison Li Xin that night 13.

Confirmation as a Good Player

During the night, Lin Jie notices that Li Xin's posture has remained unchanged through the Werewolves' action phase. After discovering his own Seer role, he inspects Player 2 and receives a good result 14 15.

Li Xin survives the night because Xia Qu, the actual Witch, does not use her poison. When Zheng Yi again proposes executing her, Lin Jie intervenes and reveals his inspection result. Li Xin admits that she impersonated the Seer because she wanted protection from nighttime attacks 15 16 19.

Once cleared, she warns that scattered good-player votes could allow coordinated Werewolves to control the execution. She proposes choosing a trusted leader, prompting the group to accept Lin Jie. She subsequently follows his instruction to abstain from voting for one day 17 18.

When Lin Jie identifies God as the sole Werewolf, Li Xin is the third player to vote for number zero. She explicitly places her trust in the man who saved her from execution 21.

Return to Reality and Use as a Decoy

After Lin Jie returns to an earlier point in reality, Li Xin investigates the alarm at Zhou Lan's mansion. She does not recognize him, remembers neither the Werewolf game nor Liu Yunyun, and says Zhou Lan told her that he had never employed a maid 24.

Lin Jie knocks her unconscious and substitutes her for Liu Yunyun in his escape plan. He dresses her in his specially shaped clothes, conceals her hair beneath a hood, and equips her with a mask containing a miniature walkie-talkie. He then places a bomb in her hand, making her appear to be LJ 24 25.

Zhou Lan and Zheng Yi confront the disguised Li Xin while Lin Jie speaks remotely through the mask. Zhou Lan discovers her identity beneath the hood shortly before the bomb explodes 25.
