Background / History
Transmigration and Qian Renxue
Chen Qianqiu awakens inside a mysterious black egg after Qian Renxue finds it in Spirit Hall’s garden. Recognizing both her identity and the Douluo Continent, he realizes that he has arrived before the original story’s major events. From inside the shell, he listens as the lonely child describes Bibi Dong’s rejection and promises to protect him 1.
After hatching, he initially chooses to remain with Qian Renxue because her position offers protection and access to valuable resources. Their bond becomes more personal when he comforts her after the marketplace confrontation and pinky-swears that they will protect each other and grow up together 2 9.
Changing Qian Renxue’s Cultivation
Chen Qianqiu opposes giving Qian Renxue conventional Hundred-Year early Soul Rings, believing that this would waste her innate rank-twenty talent. He persuades her to attempt a Thousand-Year first ring and identifies the Illusory Heart Flame Deer as a suitable source. During absorption, he removes the violent impurities threatening her body, allowing her to complete the process safely 13 15.
The success earns Qian Daoliu’s approval and an infusion of Soul Power. Chen Qianqiu later proposes developing the Six-Winged Angel’s wings through different elemental powers, building on the flame attribute acquired through her first ring 18 34.
Confrontation with Tang Hao
Concerned about Qian Xunji’s approaching hunt for a Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast, Chen Qianqiu devises a plan with Qian Renxue. The expedition subsequently includes Demon Subduing Douluo, Qian Jun Douluo, and Light Feather Douluo as additional protection for her 19 20.
During the confrontation with Tang Hao and Ah Yin, he senses an otherworldly power descending into Ah Yin’s womb and suspects that Tang San has returned as a reborn God King. When the Asura Demon Sword’s baleful aura endangers Qian Renxue, he devours it. Qian Xunji withdraws, leaving both himself and Ah Yin alive—major departures from the future Chen Qianqiu expected 25 26.
He rejects an immediate all-out assault on the Clear Sky Sect as too costly. Even if Qian Daoliu could suppress the Asura Demon Sword, Chen Qianqiu fears its unknown capabilities and the possible presence of other divine artifacts. He instead prioritizes personal growth and a renewable supply of nourishment 27.
Rule over the Four Great Clans
Following Spirit Hall’s agreement with the Clear Sky Sect, Qian Daoliu grants Chen Qianqiu full authority over the four transferred subordinate clans. Chen Qianqiu turns them into a resource-producing workforce, imposing quotas, collective punishment, and execution penalties for the least productive workers who fail their targets 28 30 31 33.
His administration deliberately encourages conflict between the clans to prevent united resistance. Their production eventually stabilizes at peak output, supplying him with a continuous stream of energy. Meanwhile, Qian Renxue returns to Spirit City for special training; before she leaves, he reassures her that his affection does not depend on her usefulness 33 34.
Territorial Expansion
Chen Qianqiu begins surveying nearby powers and investigating Heaven Dou military activity around his encampment. He also commissions research into alleviating Dugu Bo’s poison, considering the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well an important future objective 35 36 38.
A visit to the Spirit-Nurturing Sect leads to a clash with a Silves Kingdom party. He captures Meng Shan for leverage, accepts Liu Yan’s pledge of allegiance, and identifies the sect’s academy system as something worth adopting in his territory. Facing the possibility of coordinated pressure from Silves and Heaven Dou, he decides to take the initiative rather than fight on two fronts 39 40 41.
Appearance
- Scales: Obsidian-black at hatching, becoming darker and seemingly light-swallowing after his first evolution 2 12.
- Eyes: Dark-gold slit pupils; molten-gold-like light appears within them when he releases his draconic might against the Asura aura 2 26.
- Wings: Initially black, membranous, and visibly supported by bones. Later growth produces streamlined wings with dark-gold patterns across their membranes 2 27.
- Horns: Two towering, backward-curving black horns resembling refined iron, marked with ancient-looking patterns 33.
- Size: Grows from roughly cat-sized to the build of a half-grown hunting dog after his first evolution. By the Four Great Clans expedition, he is about half a person’s height even while lying down and can carry Qian Renxue in flight 2 12 28 29.
Personality
Chen Qianqiu combines a sarcastic, self-indulgent inner voice with practical caution. He enjoys abundant food, comfortable surroundings, and naps, but repeatedly assesses the limits of his strength. Around Qian Xunji and Qian Daoliu, he suppresses his usual behavior rather than risk provoking someone far stronger 2 10 18 28.
His attachment to Qian Renxue develops beyond his initial interest in her resources. He willingly humiliates himself with gestures and aerial tricks to comfort her, challenges her belief that she must earn Bibi Dong’s love, and tells her that she does not need to be useful for him to care about her 9 19 34.
Toward those under his control, he is far harsher. He explicitly calls the Four Great Clans his slaves and private property, uses hunger and collective punishment to enforce obedience, and cultivates rivalries to weaken their solidarity. His relationship with the Breaking Clan is, by his own assessment, primarily one of utility 31 33 35.
Abilities & Skills
Nidhogg’s Devouring
His bloodline converts consumed matter and energy into nourishment, physical growth, and new abilities 2 12 13.
- Physical resources: Consumes eggshells, medicinal herbs, heavenly treasures, and a Soul Beast skull fragment containing stored vitality and origin 2 12 27.
- Emotional energy: Feeds on intangible emotions, including Qian Renxue’s sadness and the accumulated resentment of his workforce 2 36.
- Soul Power and vitality: Drains Yu Hengyun remotely and assimilates Qian Daoliu’s deliberately supplied energy 8 18.
- Soul Ring purification: Extracts dangerous impurities during Qian Renxue’s absorption, leaving suitable Soul Power for her to assimilate 15.
- Divine-weapon aura: Breaks down the Asura Demon Sword’s baleful aura into nourishment 26.
- Directed evolution: Understands that his growth has no apparent upper limit and that he can influence which abilities develop; his wing-focused investment demonstrates this control 13 28.
Draconic Might
An ancient bloodline pressure that can intimidate or suppress susceptible targets 8 15 26.
- Disperses Yu Hengyun’s Soul King pressure and terrifies him into a trance while draining his energy 8.
- Briefly halts the fleeing Illusory Heart Flame Deer, allowing Ling Yuan Douluo to kill it 15.
- Contains and compresses the Asura baleful aura before consumption 26.
- Limit: The marketplace victory depends on the opposing Martial Soul and favorable circumstances, not straightforward superiority over every Soul King. He later considers an actual fight with a Soul King potentially life-threatening 11 18.
Flight and Wind–Lightning Attacks
His first evolution makes sustained flight possible; later development turns his wings into offensive weapons 12 28.
- Carries Qian Renxue through the air 29.

- Reduces the leader of Meng Shan’s royal guards to ash 39.
- Limit: Its destructive power exceeds his precision; after using it in combat, he recognizes that he needs to practice his aim 39.
Spiritual Perception and Communication
- Extends spiritual power beyond his eggshell before hatching 1.
- Communicates in a way Qian Renxue can hear in her mind after his first evolution 12 15.

Future Knowledge and Cultivation Planning
His knowledge of the original story informs his intervention in Qian Renxue’s development and his assessment of future threats 5 13 27.
- Identifies shortcomings in her expected Soul Ring configuration and offensive options 5 15.
- Proposes adding elemental properties to the Six-Winged Angel’s wings 34.
- Targets future opportunities such as the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well 36.
- Limit: His interventions alter events, while the reborn Tang San possesses future knowledge and God King-level combat experience of his own 11 34.
Administration
Qian Daoliu gives Chen Qianqiu authority to deploy the Four Great Clans according to his needs, without Spirit Hall interfering in the specific arrangements 30.

|---|---|
| Strength Clan | Mines ore; receives an additional thousand-jin monthly quota after Tai Nuo challenges Chen Qianqiu 31. |
| Speed Clan | Gathers medicinal herbs near the outskirts of Star Dou Great Forest, with a daily quota beginning at five Thousand-Year spirit herbs and twenty Hundred-Year herbs 31. |

| Spirit-Nurturing Sect | Pledges allegiance after receiving his protection; its established academy system interests him as a model for his territory 40. |
- Control methods: Production appraisals, rewards, collective punishment, and engineered rivalries 31 33 35.
- Unresolved loyalty: He considers the Breaking Clan relatively close to him but doubts the other three clans would abandon the Clear Sky Sect in a life-or-death crisis 36.
- Poison research: Promises Yang Wushuang the necessary resources to investigate Dugu Bo’s poison, accepting a stated twenty-percent chance of alleviating its symptoms 36.
