Background / History

Death and Arrival in Douluo

Electrolux had chosen death without preparing a means of resurrection, never expecting fragments of his divine consciousness to survive. He later explains that matters from his past had held him back from godhood, but that dying allowed him to let them go 25 28.

After crossing the Douluo World’s barrier above Star Dou Forest, he encountered Yang Xingchen’s fishing hook. Curious about its space-time power, he followed it without resistance and arrived at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well. He discovered that remaining beside Yang Xingchen would prevent this stretch of space-time from rejecting him 24.

Electrolux requested lodging in Yang Xingchen’s Spiritual Sea. When Yang Xingchen unexpectedly identified him and his titles, he reacted with suspicion and released Quasi-God pressure. Yang Xingchen’s divine-grade arm Soul Bones neutralized it, and both accepted negotiation rather than a mutually destructive fight 24.

Becoming Yang Xingchen’s Teacher

Electrolux initially agreed to provide a cultivation plan before entering a prolonged sleep to recover. Inside Yang Xingchen’s Spiritual Sea, he encountered Cangyuan and recognized traces of Necromancy in the Soul Spirit’s existence. Cangyuan’s humanlike intelligence astonished him, exceeding what he could readily achieve with undead creatures even during his lifetime 25.

Yang Xingchen offered to locate his scattered divine-consciousness fragments in exchange for instruction in Necromancy and other knowledge. Electrolux accepted him as a disciple. Although Electrolux had no prepared resurrection method, he believed that gathering enough fragments would allow him to restore his peak strength through his understanding of souls. The remaining fragments were outside the Douluo Continent, making their collection a long-term undertaking 25.

Before teaching Necromancy, Electrolux required Yang Xingchen to temper his abundant but insufficiently cohesive spiritual power. Yang Xingchen completed that preparation in one month rather than the expected two or three, then learned most of Electrolux’s Necromancy over the following month 26 27.

Passing On the Undead Demiplane

Maintaining the Undead Demiplane in Douluo required periodic contributions of Electrolux’s spiritual power, burdening his recovery. Once Yang Xingchen could sustain its daily requirements, Electrolux decided to transfer ownership to him 27.

The transfer ceremony merged runes containing Electrolux’s understanding of the Law of the Undead into Yang Xingchen’s heart. With ownership established, Yang Xingchen could open the demiplane and summon its inhabitants anywhere, including the Bone Dragons he had previously been unable to take away 28.

When Yang Xingchen subsequently proposed using undead power to restore the Ice and Fire Dragon Kings’ souls, Electrolux explained the laws supporting his creation. The Ice Dragon King praised his talent and expressed hope that he would recover and become a god 28.

Appearance

Electrolux appears as a gray mass of energy and can assume a human figure; no detailed features of that figure are given 24 25.

Personality

Electrolux combines caution with curiosity. He follows an unfamiliar space-time hook to investigate its source, but remains guarded when its owner knows information he has not disclosed. Once confrontation becomes pointless, he readily accepts a peaceful exchange 24 25.

He does not insist on deference merely because of his age or power. When Cangyuan objects to being treated as an object of study, Electrolux promptly apologizes. He also admits that he cannot improve the Soul Spirit Method without first learning its actual creation process 25.

As a teacher, he prioritizes preparation and warns against undead backlash. He is nevertheless exasperated by Yang Xingchen’s use of Necromancy for massages, personal service, and skeleton sports tournaments, eventually telling his disciple not to name him as his teacher if he causes trouble 25 27.
