The Divine Power of the God Trial
In the vast space of the Asura God Temple, the seven First-Level God under Destruction each occupied a place. Their existence was like seven unshakable boulders, unmoved no matter how the torrent of time washed over them. Their eyes were cold and sharp, as if they could see through all hypocrisy and lies.
The God of Pride, crowned with a golden crown and clad in a red robe, has eyes as cold as swords, revealing disdain and arrogance.
The God of Envy, dressed in a long emerald green robe, had eyes that blazed with the fire of Envy for all that was beautiful in the world.
The God of Wrath, shrouded in darkness, with only his eyes like Inazuma, ready to Destruction all Evil he sees.
The God of Sloth leaned back in a magnificent, carved chair, his eyes as vacant as mist, as if he had no interest in anything in the world.
The God of Greed holds a golden bowl in his hands, his eyes filled with a desire for worldly wealth and power.
The God of Gluttony is obese, with eyes that gleam with a love and craving for delicious food.
The God of Lust, his eyes were filled with longing and pursuit of all the beautiful things in the world.
Under the watchful eyes of these seven deities, the Asura God remained unusually silent. His face no longer held its former majesty and Haki; instead, it bore a deep sense of weariness and helplessness.
His gaze swept between the seven gods, then he sighed.
The Asura God truly hadn't expected the God of Destruction to take this matter so seriously. Did he really believe Jun Yi could avert the catastrophe that would befall the Divine Realm tens of thousands of years from now?
Suddenly, the Asura God raised his head, his brows furrowed. He suddenly sensed Tang San's aura, as well as his anger and confusion. He instantly realized that Tang San's God Trial had gone wrong.
He stood up abruptly, looked at the God of Pride, and said, "There's a problem with my successor; I need to check on him."
The air in the Asura God Temple froze instantly. The God of Pride's gaze swept coldly over the Asura God, his icy sword light seemingly capable of piercing through all of space. "Your successor? Asura God King, when did you become so concerned about a successor?" he sneered, his golden crown gleaming with a cold light.
The Asura God met his gaze directly, his eyes filled with boundless majesty. "This successor is someone I chose from the very beginning; the significance is different." His words were utterly indifferent, as if he were announcing an unchangeable fact.
The God of Pride smiled slightly, a smile as cold and haughty as a glacier that has never melted for millennia. "We are here to monitor you on the Destruction God King. This has been approved by the God Realm Committee. You should not disobey, should you?"
The air seemed to freeze, every sound in the Asura God Temple was frozen in mid-air. The God of Pride's cold laughter echoed in the air, leaving a chilling mark in every corner. The Asura God did not turn around; his gaze seemed to pierce through time and space, landing on that distant figure— Tang San. He sensed Tang San's anger and incomprehension, as well as his despair and helplessness.
The Asura God finally realized that Tang San had completed his Sixth Trial. But why wasn't Tang San imbued with the aura of the Divine Slaughter's Domain? Could it be that there was a problem with his inheritance site in the lower realm?
He turned and walked toward the God of Sloth, the foremost of the seven gods. His steps were steady and firm, each one seemingly striking the silence in the air. He stood before the God of Sloth, whose nonchalant eyes met his gaze.
" Sloth, you are the chief of the Seven Deadly Sins Gods. I only need to unleash a harmless divine Divine Power for you to examine first."
The voice of the Asura God echoed in the hall.
The God of Sloth slightly raised his head, a hint of surprise in his eyes. Then, he leaned back in his magnificent, carved chair, his gaze lingering on the Asura God.
"Since you've chosen to concede, I won't kick you when you're down. Do as you please."
His voice sounded sleepy, as if even speaking made him tired. The God of Pride's eyes were cold as he looked at the God of Sloth, seemingly seeking his opinion.
The God of Sloth slightly raised his eyes, glanced at the God of Pride, and then slowly shook his head.
The Asura God slowly separated a stream of pure Divine Power and handed it to the God of Pride for inspection.
The God of Pride received the Divine Power, coldly glanced at the Asura God, and then integrated the Divine Power into his own divine power. His gaze instantly became solemn, and a Sisi of inquiry flashed across his face. The air seemed to freeze, and all the Mingdu awaited the God of Pride's examination.
At this moment, even the God of Gluttony could not break the tense atmosphere; all eyes were focused on the God of Pride. Finally, the God of Pride slowly raised his head, and his eyes held a hint of something indescribable.
He looked at the Asura God, his lips moving slightly, as if hesitating about something. The Asura God remained silent, quietly awaiting his response. He was unusually calm, as if he had made thorough preparations. The God of Pride took a deep breath and finally spoke, "Your Divine Power is indeed not the problem. However, I am somewhat puzzled as to why this Divine Power is so weak?"
The tense atmosphere dissipated the moment the God of Pride finished speaking. The God of Gluttony blinked rapidly, while the God of Greed glanced at the Asura God with a flickering look. The Asura God smiled slightly, seemingly unsurprised by the God of Pride's question. He placed his hands behind his back and turned his gaze to the God of Sloth, his eyes filled with misty light.
"It must be weak, after all, it's only used to repair the problems that arose God Trial. If we use too much Divine Power, wouldn't that be equivalent to using my left arm? As the God of Law Enforcement, am I supposed to break the law?" The Asura God's voice echoed in the hall.
The God of Sloth frowned slightly, glancing at the Asura God as if trying to discern the truth of his words. But when he saw the resolute look in the Asura God's eyes, he finally nodded. He slowly rose from the magnificent, carved chair and faced the Asura Divine Power.
His gaze gradually deepened, as if searching for something within this faint Divine Power. Time seemed to slow down at that moment, each breath appearing to be stretched out.
After investigation by the Seven Deadly Sins Gods, it was confirmed that this Divine Power was indeed without any abnormalities.
The Asura God turned around, his deep eyes reflecting the image of the God of Sloth. He looked at the God of Sloth, a sly and profound smile playing on his lips. "Now that you've confirmed there's nothing wrong with this Divine Power, I should go and resolve the issue of my successor," the Asura God said calmly.
The God of Sloth nodded slightly, his eyes still filled with sleepiness and disdain. "Suit yourself," he said, his voice seemingly even more languid than before.
