Background / History

Transmigration and Imperial Upbringing

Jun Yi remembers falling asleep in his dormitory before finding himself on the Douluo Continent as an infant. He accepts a system and chooses Devil Fruit over Zanpakutō and Ninjutsu as his future Martial Soul, after confirming that the continent’s seawater will not weaken its powers 2.

According to the traffickers who held him, he was an abandoned baby found in the wilderness. Following the destruction of their operation, Xue Qinghe brings him into the imperial palace and obtains Emperor Xue Ye’s permission to adopt him. Publicly, Jun Yi becomes Xue Qinghe’s adopted younger brother rather than an imperial blood relative 2 3 14.

Jun Yi recognizes Xue Qinghe as Qian Renxue and overhears her willingness to arrange his death if he discovers her identity. He consequently grows up cautiously, while remaining grateful for the care and rare forging materials she provides. Originally called Xue Mantian, he persuades her to restore his original name once he can speak 3.

In his former life, he was an eighteen-year-old university student with little experience of society. Later system-induced visions reveal painful memories of his estranged father, who attempted to obtain custody of him after his admission to a prestigious high school. These memories provoke intense anger and contribute to his collapse during the system’s side effects 91 312.

Life at the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect

After awakening, Jun Yi moves to the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect for cultivation guidance at Qian Renxue’s request. Ning Rongrong chooses the room next to hers for him. Sword Douluo trains his physique and close-combat skills, while Ning Fengzhi supplies meals, materials, cultivation resources, and medicinal baths 6 8 10 15.

His offensive and defensive Soul Tools astonish the sect’s leadership. He agrees to manufacture tools without payment if the sect provides materials, and later shares blueprints as repayment for its kindness. Ning Fengzhi avoids formally recruiting him because of his imperial affiliation, instead seeking his goodwill and making the sect his backing 14 25.

Over six years, Jun Yi maintains a routine of physical training in the morning, Soul Tool production in the afternoon, and Soul Power cultivation at night. He comes to regard the sect as his home 25 30.

Journey to Shrek Academy

Jun Yi initially intends to attend Heaven Dou Royal Academy to approach Dugu Yan, treat her and Dugu Bo, and obtain immortal herbs. He instead accompanies Ning Rongrong to Shrek Academy, with Bone Douluo secretly protecting their journey 15 27.

On the road, he rescues Zhu Zhuqing from pursuers by removing their Soul King leader’s heart through ROOM. Although the man appears dead, Jun Yi later explains that the removal merely rendered him unconscious. Zhu Zhuqing joins their carriage, and Jun Yi subsequently encourages her to seek strength for herself rather than depend on Dai Mubai 28 29 34.

Shrek Assessment and Departure Plans

Jun Yi reveals three purple Soul Rings during Shrek’s entrance examination and advances directly to the fourth test. There, he rejects Tang San’s proposed command structure, uses ROOM to reposition allies, and personally withstands Zhao Wuji’s attacks until the assessment ends 36 38 40.

His relationship with Tang San worsens when Tang San blames him for failing to protect Xiao Wu. Jun Yi also confronts Flender over his treatment of Ning Rongrong and counters the dean’s pressure with Conqueror’s Haki 43 45.

Jun Yi and Ning Rongrong ultimately judge Shrek’s facilities inadequate, and Zhu Zhuqing agrees to leave with them. His suggestion of Skywater Academy is rejected because it admits only girls. The three then agree to travel to Spirit City and seek enrollment in Spirit Hall Academy 48 49.

Spirit Hall Academy

At Spirit Hall Academy, Jun Yi undergoes an assessment against Hu Liena. He uses ROOM and spatial exchanges to contend with her, Observation Haki to evade her attacks and detect her inside pink mist, and Conqueror’s Haki to disperse much of the mist and force her back. Although Hu Liena invites him to join Spirit Hall Academy, he does not accept her invitation during the assessment; his subsequent academy activities identify him as a visiting student 55 70.

His unusual ability to exchange opponents with objects outside an arena makes him particularly effective in elimination matches. After reaching level 33, he also clashes with Yan and blocks Xie Yue’s Moon Blade with an Armament-coated arm 70 71 72.

During a larger arena contest alongside Zhu Zhuqing, he gives the other students a choice between fighting one another or facing him. When around thirty charge him, he overwhelms several through close combat and intimidates the remainder. His severity surprises Ning Rongrong and Zhu Zhuqing, while Bibi Dong becomes increasingly interested in him 75 76.

Heaven Dou Royal Academy and the Immortal Herbs

Jun Yi later enters Heaven Dou Royal Academy and joins Heaven Dou Team One after defeating Dugu Yan. Qin Ming recognizes his talent and seeks to devise an appropriate training plan. His arrival also creates friction with established students, including Yu Tianheng, whose resentment predates their first meeting because of comparisons made by his grandfather 86 88 130.

Dugu Yan’s poisoning gives Jun Yi an opportunity to approach Dugu Bo and reach the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well. There, Aromatic Silk Beauty raises his Soul Power to level 38, and he subsequently acquires the Ice-Ice Fruit. Full Moon Wearing Autumn Dew strengthens his spiritual power and raises Observation Haki to advanced. He also demonstrates the ability to exchange Martial Souls, including those of a Titled Douluo 90 93 99 105.

Despite pressure to declare a political allegiance, Jun Yi rejects Emperor Xue Ye’s offer and explains that he does not intend to attach himself to Spirit Hall, the imperial family, or another faction. His institutional relationships do not initially amount to a willingness to become a political subordinate 110.

He gives Ning Rongrong Aromatic Silk Beauty and an Eight-Petal Immortal Orchid, explaining that their combined effects can help evolve her Martial Soul, and prepares additional herbs for Zhu Zhuqing 112.

Qin Ming later invites him to represent Heaven Dou Royal Academy’s new students in an expanded exchange tournament involving other academies. Jun Yi develops friendly connections with Skywater Academy, explains the importance of spiritual power in developing Martial Soul abilities, and dominates competitors from Elephant Armor Academy and Godwind Academy. His individual performances include overpowering nine Elephant Armor students and Feng Xiaotian 125 140 155 159.

Disillusionment, Star Luo, and the Mist Grand Canyon

Jun Yi becomes disillusioned with the political dealings surrounding the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect and Spirit Hall. Concluding that his sincerity has left him vulnerable to manipulation, he resolves to become strong enough that others cannot treat him as a bargaining chip and leaves Heaven Dou City 190 192 193.

At the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, he absorbs the Ice Dragon King’s remnant soul, awakens the Ice-Ice Fruit, and subsequently reaches rank 43 after absorbing his fourth Growth Soul Ring 195 196 200.

In Star Luo City, Jun Yi becomes involved in Zhu Zhuqing’s struggle for personal freedom. He confronts the Star Luo Emperor and uses Kikoku to cut the imperial study in two before escaping with her. Although he successfully contends with the emperor for a time, he later acknowledges the enormous strain and the importance of the Ice Dragon King’s enhancement 205 206 211.

The Star Luo Empire issues a nationwide wanted notice accusing him of attempting to assassinate the emperor and abducting Zhu Zhuqing, offering a 200,000 Gold Soul Coin bounty. Jun Yi and Zhu Zhuqing then travel into the Far North, where he protects her from the cold while seeking the Heavenly Snow Woman 212 213.

In the Mist Grand Canyon, he saves Yan and Xie Yue from Evil Soul Masters. Yan’s willingness to sacrifice himself for his friend changes Jun Yi’s previously unfavorable impression, and Yan acknowledges a life-saving debt after Jun Yi reveals his identity 225 227 391.

His two years in the Mist Grand Canyon harden his views about survival and retaliation. By his return, he has used the Eternal Life and Perennial Youth Operation, lost the Op-Op Fruit, and experienced the collapse of his system. He attributes these losses to someone he had trusted deeply, leaving him emotionally devastated 234 241.

Break with the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect

After returning to Heaven Dou Royal Academy, Jun Yi reunites with Dugu Yan. She discovers a long, thin scar extending from his neck to his waist and containing a terrifying residual energy. He admits that someone hunted him but initially asks to deal with the matter himself 241.

The conflict subsequently becomes public: Jun Yi has survived Sword Douluo’s pursuit and severed his right arm. Bone Douluo appears at the academy with an apologetic expression, and the revelation that the sect has turned against someone it raised causes widespread speculation in Heaven Dou City. Dugu Yan reassures Jun Yi that she and Dugu Bo remain his family and will support him 242 244.

Despite this rupture, Jun Yi’s feelings are not simply erased. He still recognizes Ning Fengzhi’s six years of care and recalls Bone Douluo’s treatment of him as a grandson. Later revelations about Sword Douluo’s genuine hostility further damage his understanding of his childhood and strengthen his intention to establish an independent force 242 319.

Blue Silver Power and Travel into the Past

Jun Yi absorbs the Blue Silver Clan’s power, kills the Blue Silver King, and drains the awakening ground to prevent Tang San from awakening his Blue Silver Emperor there. This raises him to rank 58 and forms a Blue Silver Domain. Although the action strengthens him, he later worries that exploiting the clan resembles the conduct of an Evil Soul Master and conflicts with the values he learned on Blue Star 263 264 268.

He subsequently travels forty years into the past, accompanied in his adventures by Pope Bibi Dong and encountering her younger counterpart. Jun Yi understands this timeline’s events as not changing his original world and plans to exploit its resources to strengthen himself 295 298.

During this journey, he gains the Glint-Glint Fruit and restores the Op-Op Fruit in a weakened form. He again absorbs Blue Silver power, directs it toward the Op-Op Fruit, and acquires a hundred-thousand-year Blue Silver Emperor Soul Ring. By rank 65, he can combine light, ice, and spatial abilities 298 300 301 316.

At Bibi Dong’s request, he infiltrates the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan’s assessment while disguised as Tang San, gives the name Yu Dagang, and manifests a Radiant Sacred Dragon. His appearance and behavior lead clan members to mistake him for Yu Yuanzhen’s son. He subsequently accompanies Bibi Dong into the Star Dou Great Forest, where his Dragon Might suppresses the Sky Azure Bull Python and a combined dragon-and-Haki strike sends the Titan Giant Ape flying 326 327 328 331.

After accompanying the young Bibi Dong on Hell Road, Jun Yi returns to his original timeline. His markedly more mature appearance astonishes Qian Renxue and his acquaintances 340 345 346.

Xuejun Pavilion and Conflict with the Divine Realm

Jun Yi’s growing strength allows him to protect Zhu Zhuqing and Dugu Yan against threats such as Tang Hao. He and Bibi Dong discuss the organization and location of his future force, including its Soul Tool Hall. By the time he approaches the three affiliated clans, he is publicly recognized as the pavilion master of Xuejun Pavilion and a Continental Advanced Soul Master Tournament champion 371 372 430.

With the Ice Dragon King’s guidance, he fuses his first Asura God Ring. He later states his intention to kill Tang Chen, take control of Slaughter City, and obstruct Tang San’s path to inherited Godhood 385 391.

His activities draw intervention from the Divine Realm. He fights the God of Judgment, deliberately conceals his full strength to encourage the gods to underestimate him, and absorbs the remaining Asura Divine Power in Slaughter City’s river of blood 400 401.

His relationship with Bibi Dong becomes intimate after she knocks him unconscious and initiates a sexual encounter without his prior consent. On awakening, he discovers that his cultivation has advanced to level 78, a second God Ring is forming, and he can control Rakshasa Divine Power. Although initially distressed and resentful, he comforts her and subsequently promises to remain by her side 410 411.

Jun Yi later gains the Dark-Dark Fruit and protects Di Tian from his eight-hundred-thousand-year Lightning Tribulation by absorbing its power. His ability to process different forms of Divine Power brings his combat strength to the threshold of godhood even without an inherited Godhood 449 450.

He refuses the God of Poisoning’s demand that he return to the Divine Realm and pierces the deity with his golden sword during their ensuing battle. His conflict also extends to the Asura God and eventually to Tang San after Tang San becomes the Asura God 482 494 534.

True Godhood and the Divine War

Jun Yi develops a means of generating additional Devil Fruit abilities through the Divine Power stored in his God Rings. He uses this method to assume an Azure Dragon form and later demonstrates a black dragon transformation against God King-level Tang San 536 571.

By absorbing the remnant Divine Soul origins of the God King of Goodness and the Evil God King, he strengthens his eighth God Ring and completely reforges his body. His precise Op-Op Fruit control allows him to make his own energy body his Godhood rather than relying on an external divine position. This marks his true attainment of godhood 548.

He overwhelms the Golden Dragon King physically and extracts the Divine Realm Core from him. Although Jun Yi also helps restore the Silver Dragon King and provides the Golden Dragon King’s Divine Core, their cooperation deteriorates when she refuses him access to Dragon Valley’s remaining Divine Power 554 566.

During the subsequent conflicts, his Soul Tools challenge divine opponents, and he fights both God King-level Tang San and the Silver Dragon King. Against the latter, he reveals the awakened Glint-Glint Fruit’s golden clones before meeting her spear with the Asura Demonic Sword 568 571 580.

Recognizing that he has neglected Haki while relying increasingly on Devil Fruits, he resumes training all three forms. In his battle with the Creation God, Observation Haki allows him to evade attacks even when the opponent detects no spiritual power, while his analysis of absorbed Divine Realm Core power restores him to a stronger God King-level state 583 603.

Postwar Life

By the second year after the divine war, Jun Yi has settled in Heaven Dou City and returned to Heaven Dou Royal Academy as a teacher. He is respected as an academy graduate and Emperor Qinghe’s younger brother. Public accounts dismiss earlier claims of his alignment with Spirit Hall as fabrications attributed to Tang San, despite his actual earlier closeness to Spirit Hall 610.

He shows visiting Skywater Academy students around the campus, reunites with Shui Bing’er, Shui Yue’er, and Huo Wu, and helps receive groups attending another exchange competition. His casual claim to be only a little stronger than a Titled Douluo understates his established divine strength 611.

Jun Yi later visits Shrek Academy, where Flender welcomes him warmly and thanks him for resolving the danger to the academy. He assures Oscar that the war will not continue and explains the distinctions between divine ranks, encouraging Oscar to use his Divine Power confidently 625.

When the Xie Clan seeks revenge after he kills Xiao Yun, Jun Yi easily destroys ten Soul Emperor-level guards brought against him. Thereafter, students become curious about the past of their usually approachable teacher. Jun Yi himself spends his days relaxing on the academy’s mountaintop, satisfied that he can finally enjoy a carefree life. The system then offers him the opportunity to travel to other planes 628 629.

Appearance

  • Youthful appearance: Described at approximately twelve as a handsome young man with clear, dark eyes 27.
  • Childhood height: A little over 1.4 meters when first examining Kikoku, making the weapon too long for him to draw 9.
  • After his first Soul Ring: His bright eyes and vigorous bearing visibly reflect improvements to his physique and spiritual power 23.
  • Physique: While forging for Dugu Yan, displays a well-proportioned figure, firm muscles, and sharply chiseled features 183.
  • Pursuit scar: Returns from his absence with a long, thin scar running from his neck to his waist, carrying a dangerous energy fluctuation 241.
  • Blue Silver changes: His eyes turn sky blue while absorbing Blue Silver power; after draining the awakening ground, Dugu Yan comments on his blue hair and eyes 263 264.
  • Mature appearance: Upon returning from the past, stands approximately 1.9 meters tall, with a lean build, sword-like brows, and star-bright eyes. He subsequently appears in white robes with slightly curled, short blue hair 345 346.
  • Later divine appearance: Appears with black hair, faintly silver-shining eyes, a sacred presence, and a black robe embroidered with golden runes 501.

Personality

Jun Yi is playful, boastful, and quick with a joke. He teases Ning Rongrong, jokes about selling Sword Douluo a divine seat, and becomes visibly cocky when praised. Nevertheless, he treats Sword Douluo respectfully because he recognizes the care behind his harsh instruction 5 23 24.

His humor accompanies sustained discipline. He repeatedly practices difficult Core Arrays, follows a demanding cultivation schedule, and shares valuable blueprints out of gratitude rather than calculated profit. Homesickness gives his ambition a personal purpose: he wants to return to Blue Star, reunite with his mother, and free her from exhausting work 15 19 25.

His knowledge of the original story sometimes prejudices his judgment. He gradually realizes that Ning Rongrong is more considerate than the spoiled caricature he expected. Conversely, his dislike of Tang San leads him to reject cooperation that he would likely have accepted from someone else; the narration explicitly identifies this as a double standard 19 30 38.

His judgments can nevertheless change through direct experience. Yan’s readiness to sacrifice himself against Evil Soul Masters earns Jun Yi’s admiration and prompts him to save someone he previously disliked 225.

Jun Yi can deliberately display a domineering and ruthless side. At Spirit Hall Academy, he uses overwhelming force to break the confidence of proud students, then immediately returns to joking with Zhu Zhuqing. She contrasts this conduct with the attentive, gentle, and occasionally childish older-brother figure she normally knows 75 76.

Political manipulation and perceived betrayals progressively harden him. He rejects dependence on established factions, becomes determined to escape the role of a pawn, and adopts an uncompromising attitude toward those who attack him. His experiences in the Mist Grand Canyon leave him colder and more willing to kill in retaliation 190 192 193 234.

This hardening does not remove all moral conflict. After exploiting the Blue Silver Clan, he fears becoming someone who slaughters innocents to increase his power. He recognizes the tension between his actions and his upbringing on Blue Star, even as the Ice Dragon King encourages greater ruthlessness 268.

Jun Yi later acknowledges that harm to both himself and those around him has pushed his thinking toward extremes. Bibi Dong describes him as alternating between a child, a scheming old fox, and someone almost reckless in his intensity 372.

After the divine war, he returns to an approachable and leisurely life as a teacher. His satisfaction comes from ordinary pleasures and freedom from uncertainty rather than continued public displays of power 629.

Abilities & Skills

Op-Op Fruit and ROOM

Jun Yi’s Martial Soul manifests as a crimson, heart-shaped fruit. Eating it grants him its abilities, but prevents him from summoning the fruit again. His status panel still labels the Op-Op Fruit “unawakened” after this initial acquisition 4 5 20.

  • Spatial domain: Creates a transparent blue hemispherical space in which he can sense, cut, rearrange, and control objects and living creatures 5 29.
  • Growing range: ROOM expands with his Soul Power; at Level 14, its radius reaches 24 meters 7 23.
  • Shambles / positional exchange: Swaps people, objects, or himself with other targets. Applications include evasion, ally extraction, surprise attacks, and replacing an opponent’s weapon with a pebble 23 24 38.
  • High-ranked targets: Successfully moves Bone Douluo despite the difference in their cultivation 7.
  • Nonlethal separation: Can detach and reattach body parts without pain or death. He demonstrates this with his own arm and removes a pursuer’s heart without killing him 28 29.
  • Counter Shock: Uses electricity to numb an opponent and attack internal organs through external defenses, demonstrated against Zhao Wuji 40.
  • Limitations: Positional exchange does not automatically cancel existing momentum. His cutting ability also requires further development; early attacks cannot cut Sword Douluo’s branch 23.
  • Seawater immunity: Douluo Continent’s seawater lacks the Seastone factor responsible for Devil Fruit users’ usual weakness 2.
  • Arena elimination: Exchanges opponents with objects outside the arena, defeating them without needing to overcome their defenses directly 70 75.
  • Martial Soul exchange: Exchanges other people’s Martial Souls, successfully applying the technique to a Titled Douluo. He considers extending this principle to Soul Rings, Soul Bones, and Godhood, although these possibilities are initially speculative 99.
  • Restored range: After the fruit’s temporary loss and restoration, ROOM initially covers only his palm. Further Blue Silver absorption and a hundred-thousand-year Soul Ring subsequently expand its radius from 100 to 200 meters 298 300 301.
  • Power separation and analysis: Separates the different energies within a divine tribulation so his body can absorb them, and later analyzes absorbed Divine Realm Core power to convert it into his own strength 450 603.
  • Cellular precision: Controls minute forces and individual cells, enabling the integration of immense Divine Power into his body and the creation of his own bodily Godhood 548.

The fruit’s ultimate Perennial Youth Operation is initially described as granting eternal life at the user’s expense 4. Jun Yi later performs the Eternal Life and Perennial Youth Operation and survives, but loses the Op-Op Fruit in the process. Eating the Glint-Glint Fruit eventually restores his spatial ability; he wonders whether this would allow him to perform the operation again, but does not establish that possibility in the cited event 241 298.

Haki

The system supplies training methods for all three forms of Haki and confirms that Jun Yi can cultivate Conqueror’s Haki in this world 9.

Type Governing Attribute Documented Applications and Limits
Observation Haki Spiritual power Initially provides only a trace of warning before an attack; at that stage, his body cannot necessarily react quickly enough to dodge 15. Reaches intermediate at age twelve and advanced after Full Moon Wearing Autumn Dew. Allows detection through Hu Liena’s mist and precise evasion of massed Soul Tool pistol fire; later explicitly reaches the top tier 55 64 105 106 410. During the Creation God battle, permits evasion without detectable spiritual power 603.
Armament Haki Physique Coats his hand, body, and weapon for combat. Later helps him withstand a Soul King-level palm strike from Zhao Wuji 23 24 40. Reaches intermediate and blocks Xie Yue’s Moon Blade and Feng Xiaotian’s Wind Blade Array; later combines with dragon scales and Conqueror’s Haki in his strike against the Titan Giant Ape 64 71 155 331.
Conqueror’s Haki Soul Power, spiritual power, and physique combined Cancels Flender’s oppressive presence and exerts pressure through eye contact 15 45. Disperses Hu Liena’s mist, progresses from basic to intermediate, and participates in his combined dragon-claw attack 55 64 105 331.

Observation Haki and spiritual power reinforce each other: improved spiritual power strengthens his perception, while continued use of Observation Haki also trains spiritual power. By level 33, his Sea of Consciousness already resembles a lake and contains a condensed soul 70 140.

Despite Haki’s importance to his early growth, Jun Yi later recognizes that he has neglected it in favor of Devil Fruit abilities. He resumes training all three forms as another means of improving his chances against stronger divine opponents 583.

Soul Engineering

Jun Yi manufactures Soul Tools through forging, component assembly, and Core Array engraving. The system supplies blueprints, methods, and occasional guidance, but he performs the work himself 12 16.

  • System enhancement: His creations have greater destructive power and durability than ordinary Soul Tools 16.
  • Mental training: Daily engraving also strengthens his spiritual power 15.
  • Teaching and distribution: Shares blueprints with the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect and works alongside disciples learning Soul Tool production 25 27.
  • Resource dependence: Repeated failures consume substantial quantities of rare metals, making the sect’s material support important to his development 15.
  • Spatial forging assistance: Uses ROOM to manipulate heated metal during forging 183.
  • Exceptional Level 4 defenses: Produces a necklace that manifests seven-colored armor capable of enduring at least five full-force attacks from a low-ranking Soul Emperor 183.
  • Institutional development: Plans a Soul Tool Hall within his new force and discusses Soul Tool technology with Lou Gao, who seeks to learn from him 372 411 413.
  • Divine warfare: Later deploys Soul Tools that withstand interactions with Tang San’s Asura Demonic Sword and absorb his Divine Power, despite appearing to operate on ordinary Soul Power 568.

Close Combat and Swordsmanship

Sword Douluo trains Jun Yi in physical conditioning, hand-to-hand combat, reactions, and blade use 10 23.

  • Combines spatial exchanges with blue blade-light attacks to approach from unexpected directions 23.
  • At Level 14, earns Sword Douluo’s assessment that ordinary Soul Grandmasters cannot withstand his attacks and that even Soul Elders with three yellow rings could suffer against him 24.
  • At Rank 32, withstands Zhao Wuji’s restricted Soul King-level strike, but acknowledges that Zhao Wuji’s full strength would severely injure him 38 40.

System Assistance and Growth Soul Rings

  • Growth Soul Rings: Increase in age as Jun Yi grows stronger; unlike conventional rings, they grant no Soul Skills, requiring him to develop his own techniques 16 20 36.
  • Medicinal absorption: The system can help him absorb medicinal potency completely, motivating his plans to acquire immortal herbs 15.
  • Original-world travel: The system promises that sufficient strength will allow him to return to his original world 19.
  • Secrecy: He conceals the system by claiming that his unusual Soul Ring condensed naturally within his Martial Soul 21 22.
  • Devil Fruit generation: His body consumes part of his cultivated Soul Power to grow additional Devil Fruits. The system describes him as effectively a Devil Fruit Tree 64.
  • Initial generation thresholds: New fruits can condense at levels 35, 60, 85, and 99, initially giving him the prospect of five fruits including his original one 65.
  • Attribute requirements: Later fruits require a corresponding attribute or “soul,” initially supplied through suitable heavenly materials and earthly treasures. Medicinal potency used to attribute a fruit does not also improve his own cultivation 64 65.
  • Awakening rule: The system explains that fruit abilities normally awaken automatically upon reaching Soul Saint, but can awaken earlier through cultivation or other means 64.
  • Collapse and recovery: His system collapses following his own choice during the events preceding his return from the Mist Grand Canyon. It later recovers to 75 percent and is functioning again in his postwar life 241 331 629.
  • Other planes: After the divine war, the system confirms that he has sufficient strength to travel to other planes and offers him the option 629.

The absence of Soul Skills applies to his system-provided Growth Soul Rings, not every ring he later absorbs. His hundred-thousand-year Blue Silver Emperor Soul Ring grants two conventional Soul Skills, including Blue Silver Protection 301.

Ice-Ice Fruit

  • Ice control: Creates and manipulates ice in varied forms, including blades, spears, barriers, and large-scale freezing. He explains that spiritual power enables fine control beyond fixed Soul Skills 140 196 363 494.
  • Early awakening: The Ice Dragon King’s remnant soul awakens the fruit before Jun Yi reaches Soul Saint 195.
  • Extreme cold tolerance: After awakening, moves freely within the Extreme Cold Yin Spring without expending Soul Power for protection 196.
  • Elementalization: Can transform his body into ice or snow-like elemental particles, allowing him to evade a seemingly fatal attack from the Asura God 298 494.
  • Divine combat: Freezes battle turbulence and launches exceptionally hard, corrosive ice blades capable of dismantling Tang San’s divine sword attacks 534.

Glint-Glint Fruit

The Ice Dragon King guides his remnant soul into Jun Yi’s newly condensed fruit, producing the Glint-Glint Fruit. Consuming it also restores the lost Op-Op Fruit 298.

  • Light transformation: Converts parts or all of his body into light 298 347.
  • Light-speed movement and attacks: Uses light for rapid travel, evasion, and heavy strikes 298.
  • Blinding flashes: Emits intense light that can temporarily impair an opponent’s vision 298.
  • Elemental defenses: Grants resistance or immunity to many ordinary physical, non-Haki, and energy attacks, as described upon acquisition 298.
  • Named techniques: Uses Yata no Kagami during his encounter with Qian Xunji and Yasakani no Magatama to counter Tang San’s Thousand Blades of Blood Light 306 534.
  • Awakened clones: Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu creates numerous golden copies of Jun Yi. The Silver Dragon King’s Ninefold Stacked Wave Thrust destroys the copies, but he escapes their destruction and reappears behind her 580.

Dark-Dark Fruit

  • Darkness manipulation: Releases black smoke and darkness that alter the surrounding space into a darkness-filled environment 449.
  • Power restriction: Acquires the fruit specifically to remedy his lack of a means to restrict others’ power 449.
  • Divine Power absorption: Can absorb an enemy’s Divine Power through contact, then use the Op-Op Fruit to separate and process the absorbed energies 450.
  • Tribulation devouring: Absorbs the lightning of Di Tian’s eight-hundred-thousand-year tribulation and disperses its clouds, though the effort leaves him depleted 450.
  • Divine suppression: His darkness-coated blows progressively weaken the Golden Dragon King and prevent him from moving before Jun Yi extracts the Divine Realm Core 554.

Dragon and Blue Silver Powers

  • Dragon bloodline: Possesses a potent dragon bloodline despite not being a member of the Dragon Clan, surprising the Ice Dragon King 194.
  • Radiant Sacred Dragon manifestation: Summons a sacred golden dragon during the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan assessment, suppressing an opponent and his Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Martial Soul 326.
  • Dragon Might: Uses draconic pressure to force the Sky Azure Bull Python beneath the Lake of Life 331.
  • Blue Silver control and absorption: Takes control of Blue Silver Grass, absorbs its accumulated power, and uses his Blue Silver Domain with Observation Haki to extend that control throughout a forest 263 264 300.
  • Blue Silver Protection: A hundred-thousand-year Soul Ring skill that sends out blessing light to increase others’ maximum Soul Power, attack, and defense, with stronger effects at higher cultivation 301.
  • Fish-Fish Fruit, Mythical Zoan, Azure Dragon Form: Generates this transformation by combining Water God and Sea God Divine Power. The dragon form can release scorching Dragon Breath 536.
  • Black dragon form: Later transforms into a gigantic black dragon and releases corrosive Dragon Breath against God King-level Tang San 571.

Divine Power and Bodily Godhood

Jun Yi follows an unconventional divine progression. Rather than inheriting a Godhood and then forming God Rings, he begins condensing God Rings through himself. At the threshold of godhood, this grants divine combat power but less endurance than a conventional Godhood’s continuous conversion of energy 385 450.

  • Asura Divine Power: Obtains his first God Ring through the Asura statue in his Sea of Consciousness and later absorbs residual Asura Divine Power in Slaughter City 385 401.
  • Rakshasa Divine Power: Gains control after his intimate encounter with Bibi Dong 410.
  • Multiple power compatibility: Can absorb different kinds of Divine Power rather than being limited to a single inherited divine attribute 450.
  • Divine Power-derived abilities: Uses different attributed Divine Powers within his God Rings to stimulate additional Devil Fruit abilities, extending beyond the original fruit-generation scheme 536.
  • Body as Godhood: Uses precise cellular control and the origins of two God Kings to reforge his body into an energy body capable of carrying immense Divine Power. This completes his true ascension 548.
  • Divine Realm Core analysis: Converts a portion of absorbed core power into his own strength, restoring his God King-level presence while his tenth God Ring remains incomplete 603.
