Background / History

Lin Shuo’s Early Military Service

Orphie was already Obol Squad’s assault trooper when Lin Shuo joined the Defense Force three months after the Old Capital’s fall. Captain Willowisp assigned her to show him around Obsidian Camp. Unlike soldiers who feared his former test-subject status and transformation abilities, she approached him with sincere goodwill 21.

That evening, she brought him a warm red bean bun and explained that she wanted to help because they were teammates. She continued bringing him buns during his early training, eventually drawing a small smile from him. During a team exercise, she partnered with Trigger; after Willowisp declared a tie, she joined the squad in cleaning the camp toilets 21 22.

Reunion at Scott Outpost

When Lin Shuo brought Lin You to Scott Outpost for identity paperwork, Orphie guided them to Officer Luolan. She also entertained Lin You with her moving mechanical tail and relayed Willowisp’s assurance that Lin Shuo could still contact Obol Squad through its communications channel 3.

During a later reunion, Orphie greeted Lin Shuo enthusiastically and tried to prevent Willowisp from immediately arguing with him. Caring for Lin Yue

Despite her military competence, she doubts her own worth. Lin Yue’s arrival exposes fears that she is not good enough for Lin Shuo or might hold him back. She is also concerned about Yuzuha’s feelings, asking Lin Shuo not to let their situation cause an argument with his girlfriend 18 29.

Her timidity does not prevent her from standing her ground. She openly accepts responsibility for kissing Lin Shuo and challenges Willowisp when the captain’s anger becomes excessive.
