Assignment to Protect Lin Feng

When Bibi Dong permitted Lin Feng to leave Spirit City to gain experience, she ordered Yue Guan and Gui Mei to follow him secretly. They were to leave ordinary battles to Lin Feng and intervene only when his life was threatened. Yue Guan confidently assured her that the two could keep him safe 10.

At Dugu Bo’s herb garden, Yue Guan prepared to attack when Dugu Bo released his Soul Rings and pressured Lin Feng. He withheld his strike because Dugu Bo had not attempted to kill the boy, and Lin Feng remained capable of responding. Revealing themselves prematurely would have turned Lin Feng’s negotiation into two Titled Douluos demanding herbs on his behalf 13.

The Immortal Herbs

After Dugu Bo left the valley, Yue Guan emerged to inspect Lin Feng’s Singular Velvet Sky Chrysanthemum. He manifested his matching Martial Soul, confirmed the herb’s identity, and recognized other treasures, including the Eight-Petal Immortal Orchid and Cockscomb Phoenix Sunflower. Yue Guan wanted to obtain the chrysanthemum because consuming it would greatly benefit his cultivation. Later, Yue Guan used his botanical knowledge and spiritual power to locate the Blue Silver King. He initially refused to hunt it for Lin Feng, citing Bibi Dong’s instruction that her disciple should rely on himself during training. Working with Gui Mei, Yue Guan cut through the King’s vines with golden petals and pierced its central trunk after Gui Mei exposed its main root. The eighty-five-thousand-year Soul Beast died, and Yue Guan angrily challenged Lin Feng over having engineered the rescue 18.

Watching Xiao Wu

At Shrek Academy, Yue Guan and Gui Mei recognized Xiao Wu as an immature, transformed Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast. Personality

Yue Guan respects Bibi Dong’s authority even when her orders conflict with his wishes. He restrains himself during Lin Feng’s confrontation with Dugu Bo and abandons his request for the immortal chrysanthemum when told that the Pope wants it 13 15.

His enthusiasm for rare plants can overwhelm his composure: he emerges eagerly to examine the immortal herbs and becomes absorbed in identifying them. With Lin Feng, he combines dependable protection with blunt reprimands, particularly when the boy exploits that protection to provoke stronger enemies 14 18 26.
