History
Sacrifice and Confinement
Ah Yin originally restarted her cultivation as a human in pursuit of immortality. After becoming Tang Hao’s wife and bearing a son, she sacrificed herself to him, leaving behind a Blue Silver Grass seed rather than dying completely 30 31 34.
Tang Hao kept her in a stone chamber behind a waterfall near Holy Soul Village. She grew on a small mound of soil with almost no nourishment or sunlight. Her source-power Soul Bone remained separately stored in a box hidden within the chamber 30 31.
Resurrection and Break with Tang Hao
Xiao Yexuan brought his companions to the cave and directed Ah Yin’s revival. Xiao Wu supplied life-rich blood, while Xiao Yexuan returned her Soul Bone and administered pills. Ah Yin awakened in a little girl’s body, thanked her rescuers, and immediately asked about Tang Hao and their son 30 31.
She initially refused to believe Xiao Yexuan’s suggestion that Tang Hao had confined her deliberately or engineered her sacrifice for her Soul Ring and Soul Bone. Xiao Wu’s account of his alleged plans for her further unsettled Ah Yin, but she continued defending him as a devoted father 31 32.
After accepting paid maid work at Maple Forest Evening, Ah Yin accompanied the group to Holy Soul Village. Old Jack described Tang Hao’s drinking, neglect of Tang San, and eventual disappearance. Ah Yin then consulted the memories recorded by the village’s Blue Silver Grass and confirmed his treatment of the child 33 34.
The same records revealed childhood behavior that Ah Yin considered impossible for an ordinary child. She concluded that her original son had died and that the current Tang San was possessed. Abandoning her attachment to both father and son, she pledged lifelong service to Xiao Yexuan and renewed her pursuit of immortality 34.
Confrontation at Shrek Academy
Using Fixed Immortal Travel supplied by Xiao Yexuan, Ah Yin joined the confrontation at Shrek Academy. She defeated Tang San’s Evil Fire Blue Silver Grass, blocked his hidden weapons, and purified his poison. Her explanation of life-attribute cultivation exposed the shortcomings of Yu Xiaogang’s approach to Tang San’s Martial Soul 56 57.
Tang San subsequently proposed devouring her to obtain her life abilities. Tang Hao attempted to capture her, overwhelming her defensive grass walls with his Divine Slaughter’s Domain. Refusing to be taken, Ah Yin prepared to self-destruct; Xiao Yexuan arrived before she could complete it 60 61.
Restoration and the Far North Expedition
When Xiao Yexuan asked her to grow stronger, Ah Yin agreed without hesitation. He supplied treasures and Gold of Life inside the Quintuple Time Pot, accelerating her growth into an adult woman and helping her reach the threshold of a heavenly tribulation 82 83.
After surviving the tribulation, she reached 150,000 years of cultivation. Xiao Yexuan identified her as his strongest healing-type combatant and requested her help on the coming Far North expedition. She later accompanied the group and used her power to dispel the cold during the helicopter journey 83 89.
Appearance
- Plant form: A slender stalk of Blue Silver Grass with leaves longer than ordinary grass and fine golden lines running along them 30.
- Restored childlike form: Less than one and a half meters tall, with waist-length blue hair, rounded cheeks, and rosy-white skin 31.
- Mature form: Becomes an adult woman after absorbing treasures in the Quintuple Time Pot; her voice changes to a gentle, mature tone 83.
- Work clothing: Receives a maid outfit when she accepts employment under Xiao Yexuan 33.
Personality
Ah Yin is gentle, kindhearted, and deeply grateful to those who help her. Her first response after awakening is to thank her rescuers, followed by concern for her family. Her loyalty to Tang Hao initially makes her resist accusations against him, even when the cave’s conditions undermine her trust 31 32.
Once convinced of his betrayal, she decisively redirects her loyalty toward Xiao Yexuan. She takes pleasure in his praise and seeks strength so that she can protect him. Her gentleness does not prevent fierce resistance: she would rather self-destruct than allow Tang Hao to capture her 34 37 60 61 83.
She strongly rejects evil powers. Tang San’s corrupted Blue Silver Grass disgusts her, and she treats its development as a departure from the life-oriented path she follows 40 42 57.
