Personality
Li Xinghe is proud of his authority and expects public submission. He attacks Di Chen with oppressive sound waves for failing to salute him, later demanding his last words when reinforcements arrive. His confidence repeatedly rests on cultivation rank: he initially dismisses Elder Wang as a mere peak Quasi-Emperor 28 29 39.
Despite this arrogance, he recognizes threats and adjusts his behavior accordingly. He warns Li Feng not to underestimate Di Chen, treats Jian Wuya and Fang Qingya with marked respect, and seeks help from the other domain lords after realizing Di Chen will return. He also refuses to blame the Grand Protector for the tournament's destruction 17 30 31 35.
His composure collapses as Di Chen surpasses his expectations. During their final battle, he swings between terror and renewed confidence whenever victory appears possible. After losing his cultivation and witnessing the destruction of a Great Emperor's clone, he regrets having attacked Di Chen, though he ultimately faces execution with defiant laughter 41 42 44.

Story Role / Major Arcs
Prodigy Tournament
Li Xinghe first appears at Heavenly Moon Hall while preparing the Domain Lord's Manor's prodigy tournament. He intends the event to demonstrate the manor's wealth of talented cultivators. After congratulating Li Feng on reaching early Saint, he instructs him to guide Murong Fengchen and remain alert to the mysterious youth who previously injured Elder Li 17.
When Di Chen disrupts the tournament, Li Xinghe personally intervenes. His attempt to force Di Chen to submit escalates into combat with Elder Wang, revealing his Half-Emperor strength. The arrival of the Situ, Ye, and Chen lineage heads strengthens his position, but Di Chen's Sword Shatters Sun and Moon devastates their forces and gravely wounds the three heads 28 29.
Jian Wuya and Fang Qingya's arrival prevents Li Xinghe from continuing freely. He watches helplessly as Di Chen kills Li Yunxiao. Before departing with the Sword Sect, Di Chen promises to return for him; Li Xinghe fears that he will be unable to withstand their next encounter and considers seeking a vanished ancestor 30 31.
Preparing for Di Chen's Return
Li Xinghe convenes the other nine Dao Domain rulers at his manor. He explains that Di Chen possesses combat strength comparable to a Half-Emperor and has a peak Quasi-Emperor protector, while admitting that his investigation uncovered nothing about the youth's origins. The Cangnan Domain Lord agrees to assist him when Di Chen returns 35.
Two years after the tournament battle, Elder Wang attacks the manor. Li Xinghe initially mocks him, only to be beaten back and discover that he is now a Half-Emperor. He refuses to believe Elder Wang could have advanced so quickly and accuses him of concealing his cultivation during their earlier encounter. The Cangnan Domain Lord, Imperial Preceptor, and two peak Quasi-Emperors then join the fight 39.
Defeat and Death
Di Chen intervenes after Elder Wang is wounded. Li Xinghe, the Cangnan Domain Lord, and the Imperial Preceptor fight him together, eventually using their combined laws and the Firmament Pagoda to inflict severe injuries. Believing Di Chen defeated, Li Xinghe approaches to finish him off, but Elder Wang blocks the attempt 40 41.
Di Chen recovers through his Undying Sword Physique and unleashes Sword Slays All Living Beings, empowered by the Law of the Sword. The attack kills the Imperial Preceptor, gravely wounds the Cangnan Domain Lord, and destroys Li Xinghe's dantian 42.
After witnessing Di Ku destroy a Great Emperor's clone, the powerless Li Xinghe recognizes the hopelessness of revenge. He asks Di Chen's identity before dying and finally learns that his enemy comes from the Dark Forbidden Zone. Di Chen kills him with a punch to the chest; Li Xinghe's final thought concerns whether the forbidden zone is about to emerge into the world 44.
