Background

Tianxuzi is the supreme elder of the Heavenly Mysteries Sect, one of the continent’s superpowers. He leads sect members in pursuing Great Emperor Xuantian’s relics and later the secrets of the Star Palace 1 11 18.

During the High Antiquity Illusion Array’s trial, Tianxuzi is shown kneeling before scattered bones and desperately denying his past secret slaughter of fellow disciples. He eventually escapes the illusion, though the means are not shown 8.

Personality

Tianxuzi is domineering and contemptuous toward those he considers beneath him. He initially regards Lin Wudao as an ant and treats his collection of Great Emperor Xuantian’s corpse as an offense punishable by death. His desire for relics and ancient secrets repeatedly drives him to threaten Lin Wudao, sometimes disguising coercion as an offer of sect protection 1 9 10 18.

He is opportunistic but cautious when confronted with overwhelming danger. He ambushes Lin Wudao while another elder occupies him, yet withdraws rather than risk entering a lightning tribulation. He also cooperates with enemies when their survival depends on it, including during the altar trial, the guardian beast’s rampage, and the Star Palace crisis 2 9 10 21.

His hostility does not disappear after receiving help. Following Lin Wudao’s defense of the Heavenly Mysteries Sect against the Ancient Witch Clan, Tianxuzi acknowledges his contribution but immediately warns him against withholding Star Palace information 25.

Great Emperor Xuantian’s Relics

Tianxuzi arrives at the ancient battlefield after Lin Wudao collects Great Emperor Xuantian’s corpse. He demands the relics and fights Lin Wudao when he refuses. With sect members joining the assault, Tianxuzi gains the advantage and wounds him through an ambush 1 2.

The arrival of a lightning tribulation forces Tianxuzi to retreat. Watching Lin Wudao grow stronger within it, he recognizes him as a potential future threat to the Heavenly Mysteries Sect but refuses to risk approaching 2.

The Black Jade Fragment Trials

At the Ancient Clan’s altar, Tianxuzi fights for the black jade fragment and coordinates with Youmingzi to imprison Lin Wudao inside a golden cage. After Lin Wudao escapes, the illusion trial exposes Tianxuzi’s hidden past involving the slaughter of fellow disciples 7 8.

Tianxuzi renews his assault over the Jade Slips, then agrees to contribute origin power when Lin Wudao explains that cooperation is necessary to escape the altar’s permanent restrictions. Their alliance ends as soon as the restrictions lift 8 9 10.

The guardian beast’s emergence forces another truce. Tianxuzi restrains it with the Xuantian Mirror and urges everyone to target its forehead crystal. After its destruction and the Jade Void Palace stranger’s intervention, he leaves without obtaining the fragment 10.

Pursuit and the Jade Void Palace Conflict

Tianxuzi orders disciples throughout the continent to monitor Lin Wudao’s movements. He later arrives with two elders during the Thunder-Devouring Demonic Wolf battle, demanding both the fragment and the information sealed within the beast 11 13.

His elders’ sword formation helps trap the wolf for Lin Wudao’s killing blow. When Youmingzi takes its crystal, Tianxuzi and Lin Wudao attack him together. Tianxuzi subsequently reunites with Youmingzi to assault the Jade Void Palace, accusing it of sheltering Lin Wudao and monopolizing the Chaos Spirit Pivot 13 14.

In Immortal Burial Valley, Tianxuzi joins the battle against the escaped immortal corpse. His disciples contribute golden Sword Qi to its destruction, but he then blocks Lin Wudao’s departure and demands its memories. The Holy Maiden’s intervention makes him withdraw without abandoning his claim to the secrets 17 18.

The Star Palace Crisis

While fighting demon soldiers, Tianxuzi reveals the Fallen Immortal Ancient Demon’s weakness. After its defeat, he attempts to seize the resulting star chart fragments, only to be intercepted by True Person Baixuan 19 20.

His subsequent mirror attack against the Lord of the Devil-Sealing Abyss inadvertently accelerates the Star Palace’s destruction sequence. Recognizing the shared danger, he redirects his power into the formation diagram and orders his sect to assist Lin Wudao’s efforts 20 21.

After Lin Wudao apparently sacrifices himself to restore the seal, Tianxuzi departs in silence. He later witnesses Lin Wudao’s soul reforming through the Xuantian Mirror and questions how much of the Star Palace’s power he has mastered 21 22.

Theft of the Restriction Canon

Following the theft of the Heavenly Mysteries Sect’s Secret Canon of High Antiquity Restrictions, Tianxuzi examines the damaged scripture pavilion alongside Lin Wudao and the Holy Maiden. He commands a sword formation against the Ancient Witch Clan, but its compass devours the formation’s power 24.

After Lin Wudao destroys the compass, Tianxuzi agrees to pursue the half jade slip carried away by an attacker. He acknowledges Lin Wudao’s contribution while maintaining his demand for access to Star Palace information 24 25.
