Colin Iliad was not surprised by the " Angel's" embrace; he calmly accepted it all, as if he had been prepared for it all along.
The ceremony then began. He stepped forward, picked up the bottle of " Silver Knight " Potion, and drank it down his throat.
Without a sound, the " Demon Hunter's" body swelled up, transforming into Giant several meters tall with a gray-blue base, dark brown and bulging hairs, and a dark crack on his forehead.
Every inch of this Giant contained indescribable mystery and immense, terrifying power. Except for its head, which still retained a human appearance, the rest of it resembled Mythical Creature, emanating a strange spiritual influence.
The next second, Colin Iliad's head seemed to have developed rickets, its entire head caved inward, and slowly began to writhe around that dark crevice, as if forming a nebula vortex.
Such pain was unbearable even for the chief of City of Silver, a " Demon Hunter " who had slain many powerful creatures, causing him to let out howls that would make ordinary beings' heads split open and their minds extremely confused.
If Colin Iliad hadn't evacuated everyone from the Round Tower beforehand, leaving only the Demigod- level Wait Waite Chirmont to guard it and prevent any unforeseen events, many Beyonder would surely have lost control by now.
The remains of the six powerful creatures in different locations of the ritual floated up under the pull of an invisible force, swirling around Colin Iliad. Through some mysterious connection, they awakened some of the memories of this top " Demon Hunter."
That was the experience of hunting a " Demon," that was personally ending the former chief's painful attack, that was a life of defeating powerful Monster time and time again.
These manifestations within the altar resembled paintings, sometimes merging into Colin Iliad, sometimes separating, helping him to find his place and maintain a degree of clarity amidst extreme pain and change.
Only then did Colin Iliad understand the true nature of this ritual:
As a Sequence 4 " Demon Hunter," every hunt of a powerful creature is a baptism of intense spirit, leaving a deep mark on his life.
It was through these strong mental imprints that he was able to find his way after taking the Potion and avoid getting lost in pain and madness.
This reminded Colin Iliad of a name recorded in some of the ancient texts of the City of Silver:
"Anchor"!
By Sequence 3, one is considered a deity in a certain sense, capable of responding to prayers within a certain range, and thus requires a certain anchor.
Since they are not yet at the level of Angel, the anchor may not be a believer and can be replaced by other things, such as those distinct, mystical imprints in one's life.
In the awakened memories, Colin Iliad gradually regained self-awareness, rediscovered his body, and grasped its changes.
Immediately afterwards, layers of illusory light sprouted from his back. These wings merged with the surrounding "scroll" and continued to shrink inward, collapsing onto Colin Iliad's body to form a sturdy, magnificent, yet weightless silver armor.
After a " Demon Hunter " is promoted to " Silver Knight," there will be slight differences due to the different blessing deities. The previous leader of the " Court Pursuers," " Light Slayer " Myrgongen, received the blessing from the Giant King, so his abilities in all aspects of the " Silver Knight " domain are stronger.
Colin Iliad can occasionally cause his condensed, Teleportation " Silver Rapier " to exhibit random, biased, and unpredictable changes during attacks.
In addition, he also gains certain special abilities when he is " Mercury Transformation ".
As the silver armor finally took shape, Colin Iliad completed his ascension; except for the fact that he hadn't yet grown a vertical One-Eyed on his head, he was now equivalent to a Mythical Creature.
At that moment, he raised his right hand and waved it to the side.
City of Silver, on a small hill, a sharp silver light suddenly erupted, tearing everything in its path and splitting the hill in two.
During Colin Iliad's ascension to the rank of " Silver Knight," Derrick Berg completed a ritual of supplication and received a small metal tube.
Seizing the opportunity presented by the City of Silver Chief's unusual actions that drew away most of the attention, Klein, inside the ancient palace above the Gray Fog, suddenly reached out and summoned a bullet and a " Death Knell " revolver from the Historical Void.
Immediately after having performed Divination beforehand and confirmed that there was no Amon Parasitism in a large area around the small " The Sun," he opened the wheel without hesitation and inserted the " Deceit Bullet."
Snap!
Klein flicked his right hand, closing the wheel, and then, using occult techniques, remotely aimed at the spot where he had originally died.
Bang!
He calmly pulled the trigger, firing the only bullet.
At the same time, he used this extraordinary ability to manipulate the power of the " Sefirah Castle " purely through his own will.
The entire Gray Fog boiled over again, and this space also boiled over. A powerful but slightly dark force surged out like a tide, enveloping the bullet, piercing through the gaps, and shooting towards the real world.
The light inside the " Sefirah Castle " suddenly dimmed. Klein suppressed his fear and dread, took the Historical Projection of the " Death Knell " revolver, simulated the feeling of weightlessness and rapid fall, and "leaped" towards the deep red star representing the " The Sun," and "leaped" towards that small tube of his own blood.
On the desolate wilderness of Chernobyl, the Amon, wearing pointed soft hats, all looked up at the lightning streaking across the sky, and at the deep darkness that even the lightning could not illuminate.
The Amon simultaneously adjusted their monocles, paused for a moment in silence, and then burst into laughter:
"He doesn't seem like the type to come up with this kind of solution..."
" Pallez?"
"He joined this organization codenamed after tarot cards?"
City of Silver, the Berg family.
Suddenly, everything went completely dark before Derrick's eyes, as if the candles in the room had burned out.
This was not good news for the residents of City of Silver; Derrick's eyes were about to gleam with the light of the Sun.
Just then, from the deep darkness, tiny fragments of light burst forth, like countless transparent, wriggling insects.
The thin metal tube that Derrick received then shattered on its own, and bright red blood floated out, drifting into the air, continuously fissuring itself, and combining with the fragments of light.
In just two or three seconds, these "fragments of light" coalesced into one, transforming into a huge sphere of light.
The sphere of light stretched and shifted, quickly outlining a human figure.
The figure had sharp, defined features, a cold and stern face, wore a top silk hat and a black wool coat, and carried a dark iron revolver. It was none other than Gehrman Sparrow.
Klein successfully " Deceit " the mystical rules, and resurrected himself at the fake resurrection point using the blood he had previously retained!
No introduction was needed; Derrick recognized the newcomer by that distinctive aura. After a moment of stunned silence, an uncontrollable smile instinctively spread across his face.
"Mr. World?"
Klein slightly raised his head, glanced at the little " The Sun " who seemed to have grown a bit taller, and subconsciously reached out to adjust his top hat.
He immediately nodded slightly and said:
"I will be in the Forsaken Land of the Gods for some time."
"However, I must leave now; I cannot lead Amon to City of Silver."
"If the opportunity arises later, I will cooperate with you."
Derrick understood the meaning behind Mr. "World's" words and nodded emphatically:
"OK!"
Just as Klein raised his right hand, preparing to snap his fingers and use " Flame Jump " to leave, Derrick glanced at him and suddenly pointed to the locker in the room, saying:
"Mr. World, would you like some food? I have mushrooms that can make milk!"
... Klein controlled himself, preventing his lips from twitching, and maintained his cold demeanor as he said:
I don't drink milk.
As soon as he finished speaking, he snapped his fingers, causing a ball of crimson flame to rise from his pocket and envelop him like flowing water.
The flames quickly dissipated, leaving only scattered specks like falling stars, and Klein's figure vanished from Derrick Berg's room.
City of Silver, in a grove of deformed trees, firelight flickered continuously, stretching all the way into the desolate wilderness leading north.
Once they were truly far from City of Silver, Klein slowed his "steps" slightly, summoning a lantern from Historical Void and holding it in his hand.
He had anticipated that the resurrection would go so smoothly, because once the right method was found, Amon was actually unable to stop it.
In City of Silver, Amon has at most some Sequence 4 3 level clones, which Klein can find in advance with " Spirit Vision " and eliminate.
If they can combine to form a clone at the Sequence 2 level, having already gained initial control of the " Sefirah Castle," Klein, who can leverage the power of Angel, can definitely fight this clone above the Gray Fog and stand in an invincible position where he cannot be attacked, with a considerable chance of defeating the enemy.
If Amon moves his physical body to City of Silver, then Klein can choose to be resurrected at the original location of his death.
Of course, Amon could create near -Sequence 1 clones and send Him to City of Silver, but given the Beyonder Characteristic Conservation, how many clones of this level could He actually create?
No more than two!
Klein could divide the remaining blood into multiple parts and, through a bestowal ritual, send them to Mr. " The Hanged Man," to Ms. "The Hermit," and to Leonard " The Star." There were far too many resurrection locations to choose from, Amon simply couldn't keep track of them all.
This was a perfectly legitimate plan made based on his own level, extraordinary abilities, and the special nature of the " Sefirah Castle." Before attempting the resurrection, Klein was already quite certain of the outcome. His only concern was that Amon would detect the " Deceit " in advance and interfere in time, resulting in the resurrection location remaining unchanged.
Fortunately, his " Divination " initially confirmed that the level of danger was not high, which was one of the reasons why he dared to try it.
"Phew, I'm really rid of Amon..." Klein, walking in the Yellow Light of the lantern, checked his body and breathed a sigh of relief.
Of course, he was well aware that he would soon be relentlessly pursued by Amon's main body and various clones!
