Natsuki Subaru watched a future in which his amnesiac self killed his companions to recover his memories, then used a one-time rewind to reach that version of himself. He left his counterpart with a plan to trust Shaula and seek help instead of facing Gluttony alone.

Arc 2The Lord Apostle's Path

Subaru recovered his memories and learned that Louis had hidden part of herself inside him, while Ley and Roy remained a threat. The screen then showed another Subaru clearing a path for Emilia by using the Witch Cult, former enemies, and repeated deaths, leaving the watching group troubled by how far he had gone.
