The Little Turtle glanced at the black panther Saint Beast that the Crazy Old Man had caught, its eyes full of contempt.
"This thing? It can't hurt me? If I'm perfectly fine and stand still, it won't be able to harm me in the slightest."
"Then what are you doing?" the Crazy Old Man asked, puzzled.
The Little Turtle clenched its fists tightly, and the veins on its forehead bulged.
"It's that bastard Niuwa!"
This answer surprised the Crazy Old Man quite a bit. "The Pope of the Church of Justice? That little old man?"
Having followed the Holy Lord for many years, the Crazy Old Man naturally knew the nickname of the Pope of the Church of Justice, a nickname unique to the Holy Lord.
"How did you end up fighting him? And with his strength, he shouldn't have been able to hurt you, let alone be so badly injured?"
The Little Turtle gets furious whenever this is mentioned.
"It was that unreliable orange cat that led us to the Church of Justice, and that 'Genius Niuwa,' that old schemer, I don't know what methods he used, but his strength has increased so quickly. Although I don't want to admit it, the truth is, I am indeed slightly inferior."
Slightly inferior?
The Crazy Old Man Crazy Old Man looked at the Little Turtle, who was covered in wounds and badly injured, and clicked his tongue, his meaning clear: see if he believes it or not.
The Little Turtle was instantly provoked. "What do you mean? You don't believe what I, Lord Turtle, say? You're just a little inferior, that's it!"
"I don't have time to argue with you about this. I need to take my apprentice back to heal."
As the Crazy Old Man spoke, he used his Psychic Power to slowly lift Jiang Fan up.
"Slow down, slow down, slow down! How can you be so rough! If you cause further injury, I'll fight you to the death! Put him down quickly, I'll carry him."
The Little Turtle hovered beneath Jiang Fan, its voice filled with anxiety and worry.
This scene left the Crazy Old Man completely bewildered. "I never would have guessed you cared so much about your precious apprentice. Could it be that you're worried about how to explain things to the Crazy Woman when you get back?"
"Mind your own business! Put him down and put him on me!"
"Forget it, don't think I don't know what you're thinking. That Crazy Woman mistook my apprentice for your master. Because of that, you don't exactly hate him to the core, but you're pretty close. Plus, he tricked the peaches out of Peach Fruit Old Man, so I bet you wish he could be reincarnated sooner. If I ask you to carry him, I'm afraid you'll secretly do something sabotage."
"I attacked him with dirty tricks?" The Little Turtle widened its eyes and pointed at itself. "Dare I attack him with dirty tricks? Even if you gave me a hundred lives, no, even if I attacked myself, I wouldn't lay a finger on him, okay? Stop talking nonsense and give him back to me! You big dummy, you've always been careless since you were little. My master has scolded you a lot for this!"
"Hmph! I'm too lazy to waste my breath on you."
After saying that, the Crazy Old Man ignored the Little Turtle's cries and used his Psychic Power to carry Jiang Fan towards the Southern Wilderness Fortress.
"Wait for me! Put him down and give him back to me!" The Little Turtle, ignoring its own injuries, took off chasing after him.
Three days passed in the blink of an eye.
The Little Turtle just lay there on the headboard, its two big, beady eyes surrounded by frighteningly dark circles. Despite this, it continued to try its best to stare at the person on the bed with its eyes wide open.
The Crazy Old Man found this scene utterly bizarre, wondering what kind of deep-seated grudge or injustice could warrant such a fuss? The man had already fainted, yet he was still staring with wide eyes.
What? Jiang Fan can see it, or will he be glared at so much he'll have nightmares?
The Crazy Old Man walked over speechlessly, carrying his wine jug, his gaze landing on Little White in Jiang Fan's pocket.
"Is this the Ruins Spirit used for the Space Law?"
Upon hearing the Crazy Old Man's question, the Little Turtle belatedly realized something, looked sharply at Little White, opened its mouth, but ultimately didn't utter a sound, choosing instead to transmit its voice.
"You, you wouldn't... you wouldn't..."
The Little Turtle's voice was halting, and it took it a long time to utter a complete sentence.
"You wouldn't happen to be the Third, would you?"
Upon hearing this, Little White didn't even bother to raise his head, merely lifting his eyelids slightly with a light, disdainful air, almost as if he were about to call him an "idiot."
Although Little White didn't say anything, the Little Turtle read the truth from that look in his eyes.
"Damn! You really are the Third! I knew there was no such coincidence in this world. In the Ruins Realm, Ruins Spirit are extremely rare, let alone Ruins Spirit with the same power of Law. Tell me! Did you already know he was the master?"
Little White gave it another disdainful look, then slowly transmitted its voice, "Do you think I'm a fool like you? Master's aura is unique in the world. The moment I smelled Master's aura, I knew it was Master without even looking."
"Come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, can't you?" He didn't even breathe.
You can see how the Little Turtle felt; it wished it could roll the Little White into a ball, then flatten it, then roll it into a ball again, then flatten it again, and then roll it into a ball again...
"Damn it, you can talk! What are you meowing for?!"
"Because it's cuter this way, and my owner likes it."
"Holy shit!"
The Little Turtle was a bit annoyed. "Then if you knew the truth, why didn't you tell me?!"
Little White licked its paws and continued to look at the Little Turtle with the same look it gave an idiot.
"Let me tell you, do you think I can still enjoy my master's favor all to myself?"
"I--I f***--" The Little Turtle choked.
"If it were you, would you tell me if you knew first?" Little White asked back.
The Little Turtle choked again, and honestly said that if it had known its owner's identity first, it definitely wouldn't have told anyone. It would have licked its owner's boots before the owner regained their memories.
Even though it knew it, it was still so angry.
The reason is simple: during the time she spent with Jiang Fan Jiang Fan, she often took her anger out on him, scolding him as if he were her grandson.
The Little Turtle felt terrible just thinking about all this.
"Awooo--" The Little Turtle covered its head with both hands and howled wildly.
"This turtle is going to die! This turtle is going to die! What should we do now?"
The Crazy Old Man standing to the side was completely bewildered, wondering what had gotten into this guy all of a sudden.
Just then, Jiang Fan slowly opened his eyes. He was weak and tried to get up, but as soon as he moved, he grimaced in pain.
This feeling, like being run over by a car wheel a hundred times, was so familiar; it was the same after I used my trump card last time.
Sensing the commotion, the Little Turtle stopped its madness and quickly crawled to Jiang Fan's side. Its big eyes were filled with concern. Seeing Jiang Fan's pale face from the pain, its heart ached, and its eyes burned with tears.
This scene terrified Jiang Fan. If he hadn't been completely paralyzed, he would have pinched his thigh to see if he was dreaming.
"How are you? Where does it hurt? Let me take a look. By the way, you just woke up, are you thirsty? Hungry? What would you like to eat? Tell me and I'll get it for you right away."
