Background

Zhuang Yan broke free from fate and transformed from a golden finger into a prenatal being. His divine abilities had to be gradually restored through Heavenly Dao Power; before the main events, he had recovered Add Status, Infinite Space, Cave Heaven True Sight, Instantaneous Refinement, One Thought Restraint, and One Thought Seal. Taishang Laojun recommended him for the post of Mountain God of Lingtai, allowing him to draw on a limited amount of Heavenly Dao Power through a legitimate heavenly office. 1

As Mountain God, Zhuang Yan aided Marshal Deng in capturing the rogue Dragon God Ao Qu by stripping away the Azure Sea Pearl’s power. The Heavenly Court rewarded him with Purple Coins, Heavenly Origin Pills, and a Thousand Light Cloud Talisman; the pills enabled his first documented breakthrough. 1 2

He later established authority over Guangci Prefecture’s divine system and was enfeoffed as Lord of Lingtai Dongming. His personal administration expanded further when he became Spirit Platform Divine Lord, then Jade Pole True Lord with the Demon Subduing Hall under his jurisdiction. 27 47 85
