The teleportation finally began, and Jiang Jie, Kael'thas, and everyone else vanished amidst Kel'Thuzad's raging fury.
The next moment, all the magical nodes on the Sunwell Plateau collapsed completely, and the dazzling energy formed a storm that destroyed everything, instantly sweeping across the entire plateau and then across the entire Isle of Quel'Danas.
Above the sky, floating beneath the black clouds, Naxxramas had all the runes engraved on its obsidian walls lit up, emitting an incredibly powerful energy wave. Kel'Thuzad, who was on the Sunwell Platform, made contact with his flying fortress and, at the moment the Sunwell exploded, teleported away with the dozen or so Undead closest to him.
But many more Undead were swept away by the energy storm, like withered leaves in the wind, easily crushed into dust.
Below the Sunwell Plateau, Arthas, who was rapidly approaching, had a drastic change in expression. He hurriedly raised Frostmourne, and for the second time today, he exerted all his strength. Instantly, an ice wall, taller and thicker than Silvermoon City, appeared, attempting to protect the 50,000 Undead behind him.
However, it was no use.
The Sunwell contained energy beyond the Legendary, and it exploded in that instant. Its power was second only to the massive explosion of Mount Hyjal, which was known as " Twilight of the Gods," not long after. Even though the ice walls, which were several kilometers away from the center of the explosion and strong enough to withstand continuous bombardment, could not stop this energy storm that was like a raging flood.
The ice wall shattered inch by inch, breaking into countless ice fragments, which then, under the sweeping energy storm, formed a turbulent icefall, instantly engulfing the densely packed 50,000 Undead.
The Undead at the forefront were completely destroyed in less than five seconds; only the most powerful elites, such as Death Knight or Lich, survived.
Anub'Rekhan used its massive body to shelter over five hundred Undead. Its highly resistant carapace withstood the energy storm, while the other Crypt Fiend burrowed underground immediately.
The Undead behind them couldn't hold out for long either. With the massive burst of energy from the Sunwell's explosion, they were wiped out like autumn leaves swept away by the wind. In the end, less than three thousand Undead remained!
The corpses and bones scattered all over the ground could, of course, be brought back to life or stitched together, but those corpses and bones that were completely pulverized could not be resurrected. Hundreds of Meat Wagon were destroyed, and everywhere there were the wails of Banshee and the cries of ghosts.
The Scourge suffered heavy losses; Kael'thas's most decisive attack Devastation at least two-thirds of the power Arthas had brought!
This battle truly dealt a heavy blow to the Scourge, halting their unstoppable Scourge. Arthas and the resurrected Kel'Thuzad soon discovered that a large number of Paladin had appeared in Silvermoon City across the strait. Half of the Order of the Silver Hand were enough to withstand the remaining Undead of Arthas.
Add to that the 100,000 High Elf whose fighting spirit had been awakened, the thousands of High Elf traveling from Sun's Reach Harbor to Sunsail Anchorage, the hundreds of High Elf mages including Kael'thas who had already teleported to Silvermoon City, and the Dalaran mages who were likely to arrive soon, Arthas knew very well:
It's impossible to destroy Silvermoon City in the short term!
Not only that.
Silvermoon City has now gathered enough power to rival the Scourge. Once the Undead of Silvermoon City are completely eradicated, these troops, along with the mages of Dalaran, will join forces to attack Isle of Quel'Danas. With only a few thousand Undead and Naxxramas, Arthas simply cannot withstand them.
So, at Kel'Thuzad's suggestion, Arthas found the few remaining elven ships, along with Naxxramas, and took all the Undead elites with him. He also summoned back all the Frost Wyrm and Gargoyle, and then disappeared.
Nobody knows where he went.
Across the vast ocean, a few warships, dozens of Frost Wyrm, and hundreds of Gargoyle, plus Naxxramas hidden above the clouds, even the mages of Dalaran couldn't find them.
But one thing is certain:
Arthas will definitely not simply disappear or return to Northrend.
When he reappears, he will surely bring an even more terrible disaster!
After being teleported to Silvermoon City, Kael'thas and his companions had no time to rest and immediately threw themselves into the battle to retake the Silvermoon City.
This was a protracted and brutal war, which lasted for a full ten days even with the help of the Order of the Silver Hand.
Ultimately, Kael'thas led the High Elf mages to reactivate the Runestone Barrier around Silvermoon City, absorbing the dissipated Ley Line energy to create a Runestone Barrier that was less powerful than one-tenth of its previous strength.
Gazing at the shimmering, multicolored Runestone Barrier, Jiang Jie sighed softly:
" The High Elf ' foundation... is truly remarkable!"
The High Elf ' resources and foundations truly far surpass those of any human nation.
Despite suffering heavy losses, when the state apparatus began to operate and all sorts of precious materials were retrieved from the Sunstrider's vaults, Kael'thas's newly assembled three thousand mages still managed to rebuild the Runestone Barrier in a very short time.
Even Dalaran can't do that!
Jiang Jie inquired with Shi Rhonin.
This "lucky guy," who later became famous, is now a senior master recognized by the Council of Six. But after seeing the Silvermoon City Runestone Barrier, he still felt a sense of awe and reverence.
Human magic originated from the High Elf High Elf, who have always been somewhat reserved in this regard, teaching humans only the most rudimentary magical knowledge. Human mages have achieved their current level entirely through their own efforts.
The academic atmosphere in Dalaran is free and open, and humanity's pursuit of knowledge and truth is far stronger and more steadfast than that of the long-lived High Elf. Nevertheless, 2800 years of research still cannot match the High Elf' more than ten thousand years of accumulated knowledge...
No one knows just how vast the High Elf ' millennia-old wealth truly is. Half of the Sunstrider Vault's riches are already terrifying, but the High Elf have more than just one vault. The price Quel'Thalas paid to rejoin the Alliance was not as high as one might imagine.
With the help of the Runestone Barrier, the reconstruction of Silvermoon City began to proceed in a tense but orderly manner.
By this time, the Order of the Silver Hand had already left.
The Undead Plague in Lordaeron has not been completely eradicated, and many Undead still roam Tirisfal Glades. The Eastern and Western Plaguelands, especially Stratholme, where tens of thousands of Undead still reside.
All of this needs to be handled by the Silver Knights.
Uther quickly returned to Lordaeron, taking with him half of the Sunstrider Vault's wealth, Quel'Thalas' letter requesting rejoin the Alliance, and a letter from Jiang Jie to Queen Calia.
Fenna, with her Ashen Army and the unpaid teleportation support of the High Elf mages, returned to the Eastern Plaguelands. Relying on the protection of Tyr's Hand, Light's Hope Chapel, and the Alonsus Church, she began the purification work in this region.
Because of Dathrohan's death, and with the other Grand Knight preoccupied with their own affairs and unable to attend to him, Fenna, the " Ashbringer," who had gained great merit and reputation for purifying Stratholme and helping the High Elf reclaim Silvermoon City, was appointed " Highlord of Stratholme," serving as the highest governor of the entire Eastern Plaguelands.
For a young Paladin, this is both an immense honor and an immense responsibility.
It is worth mentioning that quite a few High Elf joined the Ashen Army.
These Priest believed in the Holy Light, along with some civilians saved by the Ashen Army, were all inspired by the Holy Light. Some continued to Priest principles, while others voluntarily requested to undergo Paladin training, hoping to one day become true Paladin.
The leader was Liadrin, a former high-ranking Priest.
This "young" female High Elf was highly respected in Silvermoon City. Uther the Lightbringer personally took her as his apprentice, but it was Fenna was truly responsible for training her.
Liadrin was blessed by the Holy Light; all she needed was combat training. She studied diligently, driven not only by the spurring experience of her mentor dying before her eyes and her own powerlessness to stop it, but also by a sword.
A holy Jiang Jie personally handed to Fenna by Jiang Jie. js3v3
