Jiang Jie and his allies helped defeat Archimonde and the Legion at Mount Hyjal, then Jiang Jie secured a World Tree seed to aid plague-stricken Lordaeron. He sailed east with Broll Bearmantle and the Druids, while a mysterious man intervened in a Southshore inn after a paladin attacked Marin.

• Jiang Jie and his allies defended the Alliance and Horde forces from demons and undead, killing Rage Winterchill, Azgalor, Kaz'rogal, and Anetheron with help from Shandris and the Night Elves.
• Jiang Jie, Tyrande, and Anveena used Elune’s power to wound Archimonde, and Malfurion summoned the forces of nature that destroyed him at the World Tree.
• Jiang Jie mourned his fallen disciples, received the key to Karazhan from Medivh, and said farewell as Jaina and Grom departed for their next campaigns.
• Jiang Jie asked Malfurion for a World Tree seed to help restore lands ruined by the Undead Plague, then went to Demon Fall Canyon and learned that Illidan and Kael'thas had allied to pursue their plans.
• Jiang Jie trained Old Chen in martial arts and studied the Way of Nature with Cenarius, while Malfurion secured a banyan seed for him despite opposition from Fandral Staghelm and Inavarex.
• Jiang Jie accepted the seed on the condition that Druids accompany it and he join the Cenarion Circle, then sailed for the Eastern Kingdoms with Broll Bearmantle and other Druids.
• At a Southshore inn, a paladin attacked Marin for insulting Lord Renault, and a quiet stranger caught the paladin’s greatsword barehanded and rebuked him for violating the Silver Hand’s tenets.

Jiang Jie helped Genn and the worgen escape the Scourge, then rallied Southshore’s defenders and drove Arthas’s forces into retreat. In Lordaeron, Calia rewarded the Fenris People’s Army, Faol began teaching her, and Jiang Jie planted Teldrassil in Lake Lordamere.

• Jiang Jie and Velinde helped Genn and Liam rally the worgen against the Scourge, and Velinde used the Scythe of Elune to summon Goldrinn and lead the Bloodfang Worgen.
• Jiang Jie, Broll Bearmantle, Genn, Liam, and Velinde led thousands of refugees and worgen to safety beyond the Greymane Wall.
• Balnazzar possessed Renault and infiltrated Tirisfal Monastery, but Old Mograine resisted his attempt to corrupt him and learned that Renault had been killed.
• Jiang Jie and Old Chen helped Southshore’s defenders repel Arthas’s attack, killing key Scourge commanders and forcing Arthas to retreat.
• Queen Calia ennobled the Fenris People’s Army, named Darion a baron, and granted Jiang Jie the title of marquis and the lordship of Lake Lordamere.
• Jiang Jie recruited Archbishop Faol to secretly teach Calia, arranged cooperation with Patriarch Alexei, and redirected the undead toward Gilneas and Deatholme.
• Jiang Jie and Broll Bearmantle planted a seed in Lake Lordamere, where it grew into the vast World Tree Teldrassil.

Jiang Jie and his allies raced to stop Illidan’s bombardment from freeing Yogg-Saron, then fought through Icecrown Citadel against Arthas and the Old God’s servants. Tyrande’s power, channeled through Anveena, shattered the Frozen Throne and destroyed Ner’zhul’s soul, but Arthas survived the citadel’s collapse.

• Jiang Jie broke into Illidan’s ritual on Quel’Danas, and the Eye of Sargeras exploded after Maiev destabilized it, cracking the Frozen Throne and loosening Yogg-Saron’s prison.
• Jiang Jie warned Illidan and the others that the ritual threatened to release Yogg-Saron, then joined them in a rush to Icecrown while Arthas traveled there through Azjol-Nerub and accepted the Old God’s aid.
• Jiang Jie’s group forced open the Wrathgate and fought through Icecrown Citadel, where Vashj and the Naga stayed behind as Illidan, Jiang Jie, and the others pressed toward Arthas.
• Arthas received the Lich King’s remaining power and fought Illidan as the others battled Kel’Thuzad, Anub’arak, Volazj, and the Scourge.
• Maiev trapped Illidan and Arthas nearly killed him, but Jiang Jie’s Phoenix Arrow struck Arthas and gave Maiev time to attack, and Jiang Jie and his allies also wounded Anub’arak.
• Arthas fled toward the Frozen Throne with Anub’arak, intending to unite with Ner’zhul and become a Demigod, so Jiang Jie asked Tyrande to invoke Elune’s power while his allies held off the Undead.
• Tyrande channeled the Moon Goddess’s power through Anveena, and Jiang Jie fired her as an arrow that shattered the Frozen Throne and destroyed Ner’zhul’s soul.
• Kael’thas teleported Jiang Jie and the others away as Icecrown Citadel collapsed, while Arthas rose from beneath the rubble.

Jiang Jie helped drive back the Scourge, oversaw the reforging of powerful weapons, and uncovered a demonic plot in Tyr's Hand. He then traveled to Uldaman with the Pandaren and Brann to seek the Disc of Norgannon, where Ironaya attacked them.

• Alexstrasza led the Red Dragonflight against the frost wyrms and toward Icecrown, while Malfurion and Tyrande declined to fight the Undead and Illidan left to pursue the Burning Legion.
• Thassarian reported that the Lich King's power had vanished, and Faol led the freed undead in capturing Naxxramas as Jiang Jie gathered fragments of Atiesh.
• Jiang Jie and Kael'thas arranged the reforging of Quel'Serrar, Quel'Delar, Flamestrike, and Strom'kar, and Kael'thas sealed Pyralis into Strom'kar as its sword spirit.
• Chromie told Jiang Jie that Nozdormu was judging his fitness to guard Azeroth and explained that Atiesh's missing pieces were held in Dalaran and by Kel'Thuzad.
• Jiang Jie and Fenna uncovered a Dreadlord plot in Tyr's Hand, where Fenna exposed Balnazzar and Jiang Jie, Anveena, and the Shadow Phoenix destroyed him.
• Jiang Jie traveled with Old Chen, Li Li, and Aysa to find Brann, followed him into Uldaman, and helped recover the Prehistoric Staff that opened the palace doors.
• Ironaya emerged to defend the Disc of Norgannon and attacked Jiang Jie, who struck her with Phoenix Flames and Eastern Peak Sword.
